Good friends, a booming business, her high school sweetheart warming her bed and more money than she knows what to do with it. She can’t figure out why she feels so…
Empty.
After a disastrous argument with her boyfriend on the night of her best friend’s engagement, she decides that enough is enough. Armed with a suitcase full of designer sneakers and vibrating silicone, she flees the home she bought for herself in the middle of the night, uprooting all her neatly laid out plans and leaving nothing but a note (and, accidentally, all her underwear) behind.
When her casual acquaintance and sometimes-coffee buddy Amir offers her a place to stay while she figures her life out, she can’t help but accept. Something about his whiskey brown eyes and adorable Prada cardigans make him impossible to say no to. And besides, a billionaire’s guest room must be better than even the best of hotel rooms…
right?
What starts as a budding friendship between two unlikely roommates soon turns into an inferno of passion as their chemistry and mutual lust cracks between them like lightning. When real life interrupts their whirlwind romance, Rachel once again finds herself at a crossroads. Will she be able to get past her ghosts and open herself to the possibility of forever?
Or will she lose it all, left only with her memories and the lingering feel of him all over her?

Rachel has had enough, she leaves her boyfriend of over ten years! Amir is the best friend of her best friend’s fiancé. They have been casual acquaintances for several years and now are in each others’ orbit on the regular. And he insists she live with him while she figures out her best steps. Why does this feel so right?! The roommates become friends but then that soon doesn’t feel like enough. Is this too soon? If they take their relationship further, could this implode their friend group? Can they really deny what between them though?!
Rachel is a badass, strong and capable woman! I love and admire this FMC. Her girl group is woman friendship goals: supporting, loving and being honest with each other. Emily knows how to write fabulous female characters! But Amir is the winner in this book! (most of our book boyfriends are!) He a hopeless romantic, smart, successful, neurodivergent, protective, queer, and dominant! He has always been the one before “the one” and he blames it on him being neurodivergent. But really it’s because none of the others we is “one”. I love Rachel and Am’s connection , the way they truly accept all parts of the other and the way they must put aside their insecurities and mistakes to really fight for each other. While it took me a while to get into it, I couldn’t out it down because I knew Emily would hook me! And she did; lots of chemistry, spice and swoon. While I really loved Rachel and Amir, they didn’t quite sweep me away and make me giddy the way Georgie and James did. Therefore, I was living for all the Georgia and James content. And of course all the Swiftie references made my heart happy! I cannot wait to see what is in store for Dottie and Kira, and if this book is any indication we will be seeing more Rachel and Amir.
***Small Spoiler: I love when books represent so many facets of real people and their authentic truths. I love that these individuals and couple know they do not want children! 👏🏼this👏🏼is👏🏼acceptable👏🏼and👏🏼to👏🏼be👏🏼celebrated👏🏼 Children are not a sign of success or happiness.***
While I am not a virgo one of my most favorite people is and this was straight truth! “Leave a zillenial virgo with anxiety to her own devices and she'll end up either catastrophizing or thinking herself into a thought spiral so deep she's hurt her own feelings beyond repair.” -Rachel
I don't know where to start with this review 🙈 This book is gooood 🤩 And Amir? Phew... I would say he is a cute alpha man. He is so sensitive, but he is also obsessive and possessive. And he has a very fìIthy mouth... I can't say if he knows what men want (except for what the one man in the book is saying about him), but I can say he definitely knows what we girls want 🥵 Maybe one of the reasons is that he loves to read spicy romance books 😁 I can't say it enough... "Guys, read romance books!!!! You will learn what women need!" But who am I saying that to... Everyone who is reading this review knows that 🤣
The book catches a lot of controversial topics which makes it even more interesting.
Yes, we have the "typical" 3rd act break up, and believe me, I couldn't hate Amir more that time 🤬 But WOW. In typical Amir is the cutest guy ever, he... (no spoiler!!!) 😎
I loved that Georgie and James were so much included in this book. And everything James did to support Rachel. Not just only after her breakup with her long-time boyfriend Brian, but especially after her breakup with Amir. The shower scene, OMG, sooo f***cking cute 😍 Generally, they all have such a huge tight-knit friendship, I love that sooo much.
I can't wait to read the other two "Pussy Posse" books. There was already a huge hint of Dottie's story and I'm so excited.
Book 2 in Shacklette's Love By The Bay series and can be read as a standalone which is how I read, this is the first book by Shacklette I've read, and I am so impressed! Characters are well written and developed, the storyline comes thru smoothly and there is a great balance or romance both sweet and some steamy. Amir and Rachel's journey was perfect, and I loved every minute of this read. I can't wait to read more and will definitely have to go back and read book 1!

I was so excited for this book to come out I had it set on my calendar because I couldn’t wait to devour it. Amir had a place in my heart since we met him in the 1st book. I almost DNF’ed this book not once but twice and it wasn’t the writing but my personal ICKS in a book. That being said I just finished the book and still feel really letdown. I always review a book immediately upon reading the last page and review it by how it makes me feel in that moment. I feel sad, and disappointed and frustrated. The 1st book was such a beautiful love story that gave us all the feels, and let me tell ya Amir had it in him to bring us there too. But there are 2 things that happened that forever left a lasting impact in this story for me and in a negative way. ****Spoilers ahead****
I loathe books where we witness either MC being intimate with anyone else, regardless if they are actually technically with the other MC at the time or not. It just a big NO for me 100% of the time. So not only was Amir intimate with another person but the scene was on page and very graphic. Which broke my heart because it happened very very early into the book and I knew then I was done and the story was tainted or me. But what worse is there is a 2nd encounter and it’s actually witnessed by the other MC. Granted it much more tame but still intimate. I felt sick. Like why do authors do that? You want us to love these mcs together and really feel their love story but you show that? And mind you, it did absolutely nothing to the storyline, it was just filler even when that person pops back up later in the book….just meaningless filler. Nothing towards to plot. It just tainted Amir for me.
The other ICK was the Slu* calling. I’m not a fan of that word choice but regardless it was so overused. It was a constant in all their intimate moments and just said a million times. And what made it worse when the stupid miscommunication happened and she was hurled that word and also wh*re, it just made me so turned off of the story. And then add in that we didn’t even get a HEA, just a HFN…it’s too many icks for me. And I’m so sad because I wanted so much more for Amir. He is so sweet and kind and deserved a better story imo.
Of course the supporting cast was amazing af, and I leaned heavily into the comfort that is James in this story.
I’m sure there were TW somewhere in this book but I wish they had been in the front big and clear. Unfortunately, now I have trust issues and probably won’t read anymore from this series because it’s just not for me.
I have to say how much I appreciated the many underlying themes of this book. Emily Shackleton does a fantastic job showing her readers how “Love is Love” no matter what your sex, nationality, or any other characteristic. Love is Love. She also does a tactful job of showing the many prejudices that still exist in society today and the impact that has on the people around them.
As an avid and slightly older reader of love stories, it took me a bit to adjust to the more modern openness of the relationships of the male protagonist, Amir. Amir loves sex and loves to love. I almost had to read this by my oscillating fan to keep cool. The steam was wafting off the pages!
I teetered between a 4 and a 5-star review because it took me so long to adjust to the younger theme in the book, but honestly that’s not the fault of the writer, nor the story. The writing was fluid, fast-moving, heartfelt and a joy to read. The story was sweet, if not a tad bit predictable, but nevertheless was extremely enjoyable.
I can honestly say I was totally “Team Rachel and Amir” by the end of the book and happy to see them taking things a little slower to make sure they are comfortable in their relationship and trusting of each other.
With all his modernity, in the end Amir shows himself to be an old-fashioned romantic and an equal to Rachel in every way. The sign of good writing is when you fall in love with the characters. I’d love to have Rachel and Amir as neighbors and friends.
You will not regret picking up this book!

I didn’t know how Georgia on my mind could be topped but Emily did it!! Amir is such an amazing love interest and I loved the journey Rachel went on getting over her ex. So this is a post breakup roommates to lovers situation and the pacing of it all works so perfectly to build up tension and angst. Rachel so recently out of her last relationship and Amir who fell first (like years ago) and harder but also not wanting to be a rebound.
Seeing their relationship and especially friendship develop was amazing. We get all those quiet and gentle moments of being roommates but also when they are apart and the section of delicate text exchanges had me melting. They truly built something to last and yes there are 3rd act shenanigans but trust the process. You need to be reminded of your heart beating in your chest for a second and see them work for it.
Our MMC Amir has autism and I appreciate the way it is understated. He’s confident and multi-faceted and this aspect of him doesn’t stick out greatly (in a good way).
What was also so fun was how it’s all back in the same world of GOMM. We get to see our favorites from book one. This is still very much a standalone but just know your OGs are very much still canon and there’s a certain scene with James that had me legit CRYING.
Thank you to the author for the eARC! Please tell me Dottie is next I beg of you.
Thank you to Booksirens and the author for an e-ARC of this book to read and review. I didn't realize this was a second book in a series at the start, but I don't think it effected my reading at all - I think I would have a richer understanding of the characters if I read the first, but I wasn't lost at all so it totally works as a standalone. I really liked Amir as a character at the start (love a guy who reads romance novels and does goofy things for the one they're wild about!) but he gradually lost me over the course of the story. I liked that he was all about Rachel while being respectful of her past relationship and her wishes, but I felt like a lot of his actions became very extreme, possessive in a way that wasn't cute to me, and honestly a bit unforgivable (if it were me, at least!) so I ultimately was not rooting for them as a couple like I was in the beginning. I also did not like seeing the main characters with other partners on-page. I *did* really appreciate the extra dimension that the author added to the book, like a city food guide and an Amir recipe from the story. I will check out other writing from this author for sure, as they have a great writing style and engaging way of telling stories - this one just lost me on the characters a bit!
I thought this was an excellent book and couldn't put it down. I finished it in only a few days. The back of the book includes a list of potential triggers, so be sure to take a look at that.
The characters were well developed. This is book #2 of a series - I had not read book #1. This is a standalone book. The couple from book #1 were strong characters within this book but it didn't take away from the actual protagonists. There was enough provided to give a feeling of book #3. With the excellent character interactions and friendship, it makes the reader ready for a fourth.
I know that 'money rich' subjects take away concerns about money which is handy for the author. However, this author did a great job of only using it when needed but also showing that just because someone has money, they aren't perfect and without some deep emotion.
I would call this a love story - not just a romance. If you like steamy scenes along with a love story that brings out that inner emotion, go for it!

Amir Salman, a Billionaire, who along with his friend James Adler, also a Billionaire, are founders and owners of a Tech Company, Streamline, in San Francisco.
Rachel is owner of Espresso Yourself, a coffee shop near to Streamline, and that is where Amir first sets eyes on her, and is smitten.
Rachel and Georgie, James’ girlfriend, are best friends, and when James proposes to Georgie, Rachel is there with her boyfriend Brian, who is not as attentive as he should be, and she decides to leave him after ten years of living together and waiting for a proposal to satisfy her mother, which is never forthcoming.
This is a well written tale, and ideal for readers who love Steamy Romances. It charts the blossoming romance between Rachel and Amir, with all their ups and downs along the way, and with a cast of supporting characters who add much to the story. I personally found it to be a slow starter, but then stayed awake until 2am in order to read it to the end.

This was my first book by Emily Shacklette and it won't be my last. This is the 2nd book in the Love By the Bay series. I plan to go and read the first book now because I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down.
The characters were interesting and even though the main male characters have loads of money...I didn't think it wasn't a huge focus of the story, which was nice. I could really identify with Rachel, the lead female character and I think others will as well. Who hasn't been stuck in a relationship...going through the motions because it is just the easy thing to do??
You All Over Me also has a good spice level. I didn't have to wait until the last third of the book for things to get hot and heavy.
If you are looking for a fun romance/love story, this is a great one!
God I just really freakin’ love Amir. He’s smart, he’s sassy, and he loves love. Rachel is also those things, but Amir does it with pizazz. (At least that’s what I’m telling myself.)
What I love about this story: - Positive stimming representation - Positive pansexuality representation - Positive body love & representation - All. The. Diversity.
My absolute favorite thing? The ending. I won’t spoil anything, but note my love of romance books that play with archetypes and stereotypes.
This storyline is about friendship, found family, self-discovery, starting over, and trust. It’s spicy, it’s fast paced, and it’s comical as all get out in parts.
Recommend: Yes! Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5 Pairs well with a nice caramel macchiato that isn’t dumped in the trash… IYKYK…
Rachel had been with her boyfriend for 10 years but the night her best friend got engaged she realised she didn’t love him so she left him. When Amir offers her a place to stay while she gets things sorted out she’s hesitant at first but soon accepts. She quickly realises she has feelings for her new roommate and doesn’t know what to do about them but what she doesn’t know is that he has been falling in love with her for four years. Can they make it work between them? Or will old insecurities ruin things before they truly get started?
Oh Amir, Amir, Amir. He might just be the most perfect man I’ve ever read. He’s sweet, thoughtful, loving, caring, completely dominant in bed and reads romance books for fun. I can’t even be mad at him over what happened because he just acted out of instinct from he’s dealt with in the past. The men in this series are shaping up to be something else!
LOVES: - The argument at the beginning, very realistic - When she tells off her b-word, racist mother 👏 - Referencing his “neuro-spicy” brain - Their love of romance novels 📕 - Therapy 🎉 - Super spicy 🌶️ and lots of dirty talk, alpha/brat relationship, pleasure dom
CRITIQUES: - It’s hard for me not to judge someone with 20 cars… - And spending so much money on everything, I get he’s a billionaire, it just makes my frugal heart cringe - The slut calling is not for me, but it has its place for people and I wasn’t bothered by it

I had no idea this was part of a series until I read @happilyeverabigail ‘s review but I loved this book nonetheless. You can totally read it as a standalone but now. I must go back and read all about James and Georgia’s relationship. I received an ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Amir and Rachel seem like polar opposites but their story just fits. It was sweet, emotional, kept me on my feet. The dichotomy between all of their friendships was so good. The forced proximity *chefs kiss* some of the 🌶️ was a lot for me but that’s totally a me thing not anything wrong with the book. #grewupcatholci #hadmeblushing
As a Taylor Swift fan, I was instantly hooked when I saw the playlist. Emily Shacklette does an amazing time being inclusive with her characters. I rarely get to read a book where one of the main characters has Autism. I was diagnosed with Autism when I was three so I was slightly discouraged when I couldn’t connect with Amir’s struggles as much I hoped I could. The spice in this book is beyond amazing and definitely will be recommending this to our book club for our romance mini-meets.

Love love love this follow up to Georgia On My Mind! It’s so great to be back with the P*ssy Posse and I loved seeing how Rach & Am’s relationship blossomed from a shitty situation. Spicy and sweet and, yes, still chockfull of Taylor Swift Easter eggs, this is a great love story and just so fun to read!
Although I’m not in the intended audience, the book offers a rich exploration of representation, identity, friendships, relationships, and sensual experiences. Despite age differences, readers can appreciate its depth and relevance, finding resonance in its themes and character dynamics. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved this even more than the first book in the series! Am and Rachel are adorable and I was really sad to see this end. I wanted more.
My heart melted with how accepting Rachel was of Ams idiosyncrasies. She didn't even bat an eye.
No one wants to be the training wheels for the real relationship and I felt for AM so much. I wanted to reach through the book and hug him, even if he wouldn't have appreciated it too much!
Keeks is a bit much but she offers a nice break from tension building.
This second book in Love by The Bay is about Rachel and Amir. This friend to lovers story is steaming hot. Rachel is a fantastic character and her posse of girls are something else, love them. Great relationship development and love getting glimpses of James and Georgia from Book 1. There were some playroom scenes that made me uncomfortable. However the story a fun and fast read.
Absolutely could not put this book down. I loved Amir in Georgia on My Mind as Georgie and James’s best friend but getting to know him for him and seeing his relationship with Rachel develop has been such a treat. I laughed, I sobbed and I fell more in love with this wonderful group of friends.
This book is funny, sexy steamy, and really a great romance book! You’ll definitely feel all the feels in this book. Read my arc book because you won’t fee disappointed after! It’s a good book so 5 stars ✨
3.75 Sweet, fairly low angst with pretty good spice. I liked this book more than the first, the MMC didn't feel like a compilation of every male trope like James did.
dnf 8% i hate it when the mmc have sex on-page with another person i hate even more the fact that the mmf had sex with the same person for 10years and that the mmc is a manwhore
Before I get into this review I do want to applaud Emily for her writing especially when it comes to representation. She does it so well she does not dwell on it and talks about it in her books as you would if talking with a friend. Now to this AMAZING BOOK.
OH MY GOD I fell even more in love with Amir after this book! The story line is amazing they each have their own trauma if you read book 1 you know Amir is has his quirks and you get more of an inside of them and I love how he owns them all. I just love how he is so unapologetically him. He is also a cinnamon roll with a Filthy mouth😏 which is my favorite kind of MMC when in one chapter it is sweet nothings and then BAM!
Rachel hurt my heart as a woman I think many of us can relate to her relationship with her ex. I hope we all find us an Amir because that man wow he loves hard and we all deserve it. I also love how hard she loves the people in her life and will fight for them all!
For a comparison the first book was nice and sweet with spicy scenes written very well. This one has its sweet moments but there is nothing sweet in the spicy scenes since Amir is a Dom 😉.

Welcome to the universe where helpless romantic and down-to-earth (but with several fancy sports cars) billionaires pretend to love coffee (even if it's disgusting to them) just to talk to the cute-as-a-button and charismatic business owner. If you are a romantic like me (and Amir and Rachel) you are in the right place! YAOM is out March 26 and it is available in paperback, ebook, and Kindle Unlimited!
This book was amazing! It has sassy, funny banter, a sensitive yet possessive and protective male main character, a female main character setting boundaries for healthier relationships after a bad breakup, seeking happiness surrounded by her friends, forced proximity (roommates), and friends-to-lovers tropes that can not be topped!
Amir and Rachel’s relationship evolution was well-written and relatable, the spice was *chef kiss* and, even if the book had the miscommunication trope, the development of that hiccup was so satisfying it had me giddy with happiness. (If you are going to give us miscommunication, you better give us groveling to endure it, please!!) Thank you Emily for your service to the romance readers community and for giving us what we want haha, we love you!!
I loved every minute of this book: Amir and his soft side, Rachel's empowerment, the Pussy Posse, and how James Adler steals the show every chance he gets.
I reeeeeally hope that my conspiracy theory about Dotti's book becomes a reality! #manifesting
Wow! This book was AMAZING! It’s not often I read a book as real life and relevant as this one. The storyline of this book is interesting and the spice is SPICY. I would give this book all of the recommendations- it’s so good.
