Feeling lost without your soul pet? Is your heart shattered by their passing, whether it was completely unexpected or the natural result of old age? Are you feeling alone in this grief, asking yourself when the pain will end?

“Losing a Pet - A Book of Grief & Recovery” is your guide to peace and understanding.

While grief is a normal, healthy response to losing a beloved pet, it is important to work through its various stages and eventually find a way to move forward.

Understanding the depth of your bond and learning to celebrate rather than mourn your years together helps memorialize your pet. It also equips you with perspective and the capacity to love again.

This book is your compassionate and comforting guide throughout the healing process—an understanding companion as you explore the depths of your grief. The journey to peace and recovery starts here.

Emily Newcombe thought her world had ended when she lost both of her Fur-Babies within weeks of each other, but rather than allowing the pain to cripple her, she dedicated herself to researching and understanding the truth about pet grief.

In this book, she provides a blueprint for breaking out of the endless loop of sorrow and guilt.

Drawing on her own experiences–as well as those of others like her–she guides you through the mourning process while simultaneously acknowledging and memorializing the love you shared with your pet.

A must read for those grieving their pets!

After losing my "soul dog" two months ago, this book was very enlightening and just what I needed to read. There were some beautiful quotes, stories and suggestions on ways to honor your pet and work through your grief. After reading this book, I am going to create a memory box with collars, paw prints, toys and other items that I have collected from my sweet dog. Thanks for writing this heartfelt book!

A How-To I didn't know was necessary

As a dog lover who has said final goodbyes to three noble and loved pets, it never occurred to me that I might need a manual on how to move forward. Ms. Newcombe obviously has deep thoughts on the subject and I'm impressed that she had 120 pages worth to say about it. However, grieving is different for everyone as she herself points out, and I'm not sure we need someone to instruct us on it. Much of her advice is repetitious and fairly obvious.

A definite must-read book for all those who have had to go through the gut wrenching experience of saying goodbye to a beloved pet. This book became my saving grace on my dark days of grief following my beloved Romeo’s passing. It gave me hope that he’s still around. That his soul is helping me on my life journey. And I have no doubt one day in the future he’ll be back 💚🙏 this book I found not out down. It really was so healing for me.

Lost my best friend to cancer 💔

After losing both our shepherds to Hemangiosarcoma...Mila 12 and Hailey 10 this book helped me understand my feelings of guilt and grief. Every time I think I'm ready to bring another dog into my life...turns out I am not. I did find this book helpful and very much worth reading.

I read it through Audible.

This book was helpful in many ways. It gave me pointers on how to deal with the loss of my dog. I felt understood when they talked about "soul pets" because that is exactly how I feel; that Moe is/was my soul mate.

It's a bit repetitive but it's ok.

I liked that the author could relate as a dog owner and dog lover.

I would gladly go through another transformative breakup if it means I never have to lose my three favorite dogs in a year, all while the other person keeps the other two. This book covered a lot of my feelings on pet grief and it was helpful in having me navigate and feel normal about it.

A pet peeves for me is the thought that one day I will lose my dog or cat. I lost cat fifteen years ago. My neighbor said that my cat kept dodoing
