Forbidden Intent is the 2nd novel in the Rapturous Intent Rockstar series, following Tamsin and Miles. Tamsin Cross is an 18-year-old college freshman, interning for her dad, who happens to be the music producer of the rock group Rapturous Intent. While Miles, 28-years-old, is the drummer of said rock band. Even though the main characters do seem to fall instantly in love with each other, Tamsin tries to ignore her feelings, for a good portion of the book, because she feels like Miles deserves someone who can give him things she cannot. Mainly, intimacy. I’m not typically a fan of Instant Love, but I didn’t feel like the love was ever forced or unbelievable.
Miles is the type of man every woman wants! He’s described as not the fittest man alive, which I love how he’s doesn’t have the body of Adonis, with a chill, “stoner” drummer vibe. However, Miles loves control in the bedroom, and I am here for it!! He’s dominant, without being overbearing, and never tried to control Tamsin as a person. But the thing that made me fall in love with Miles was how respectful and caring he was. He never pushed himself on Tamsin, and even let her have control and dictate how things would happen.
I didn’t realize this was the second book in a series until halfway through, and honestly, I don’t feel like I missed much. I will definitely add the first to my TBR!
The only thing I am conflicted over, is the twist at the ending. I go back and forth because I feel like the twist was unnecessary but that may be because it broke my heart.
