Read with my son at bedtime over the course of a month or so... really fascinating and kind of humbling for me, having somewhat naively expected to be at least aware of most of the 100 unknown things in the book... For children and adults it not only introduces you to new, hidden ideas about history, maths and science, but it also infuses your consciousness with curiosity and ignites your imagination. Think of it as a curiosity booster!

What IS that in Michelangelo's David's hand? If the sphinx isn't actually a sphinx, what on earth is it? What happened to that massive Cambodian civilisation? Just how colossal can the colossal squid get? Wha-? A made up disease saved the lives of Jewish people in 1940's Italy... woah.

I mean there weren’t very many answers in here, but the format is great with illustrations on each page. It did set off some rabbit holes for me when I wanted to learn more about a specific fact.
