Shifter medicine is my passion, and I’m excited to share my company’s big break at a conference. But when there’s only one bed, offering to share it with squirrel shifter Felix Ardila is the least I can do. My inner owl falls fast for him, and even though our animal sides are natural enemies, all I want to do is protect him. But when circumstances beyond my control keep us apart, how can I convince him I’ll do anything for my mate?
Felix
I’m the one other shifters come to for help. So when Thurston Hughes gives me a helping… hand during my heat, then ghosts me back home, it hurts more than it should. He can’t know that I’m struggling with symptoms of creep, the fertility illness we’re both trying to cure, and I’ve never felt more alone. This might be my last chance to build the family I’ve always wanted, but can I count on him to be there for me?
Squirrel Trouble is an M/M romance with mpreg, transness, small woodland creatures, infertility, pregnancy, ethics and lawsuits around biological experimentation, and adorable baby shifters causing chaos. This is an 85k+ word novel.
I really liked this one. I always like when a shifter omegaverse story has A. shifter animals that aren't the "typical" shifter animals and B. a deeper involvement with gender and how that plays a part in the omegaverse (because it really does need to be addressed). This hit both these points perfectly and was so interesting and well done on top of it. It's modern/"normal" world (with added shifter and omegaverse) but Silver still added in a lot of interesting worldbuilding. I haven't read the other books in the series but will definitely be rectifying that!
This is such a unique series. A zoo populated with shifters. A little understood disease. Two men trying to find a cure for vastly different reasons. And heat sex that is off the charts hot. I love the concept of owl and squirrel. And the whole squirrel family dynamics... fantastic chaos! Even though it seems iffy at times, HEA is assured. You are sure to love this book as I did. Please, read book one. So good.
This is book 2 in the series but can work as a standalone. Felix, a squirrel shifter, needs Thurston’s, an owl shifter, help with creep. When Thurston helps Felix through his heat and then disappears, Felix is left floundering. Loved the world building and second chance romance. Cannot wait for more.
I really enjoyed this story. This is the second book in this series but you don’t have to read them in order. This was such an interesting story. I loved all the information and the second chance romance. I can’t wait to read the next story.
I think this is the first omegaverse book I've come across with a bedroom power dynamics reversed couple, as in alpha-Omega instead of Alpha-omega. Very cool.
