Ain't this another great one from the lovely Jade Dollston! I mean I'm head over heels for Auburn Bouvier and then Monty comes in like " hold my beer" . . Well that is what we get in love without influence. Talk about a wonderful cinnamon roll who turns out to be alpha dominant. Hot damm. I love the way Jade writes so no surprise that she killed this one too. Ah-mazing it was. I want to take a moment to just appreciate that is the fine specimen that is Monty. Well actually after reading the whole book I love daddy Paul too. This book I love love love so much, truly special .Any ways, this takes you on a journey.
Monty and Kassie such a meet cute, ahem ahem you see where they meet! Ahem helllooo. The sweetest first love ever. Until everything goes sideways. And then our reconciliation. There is so much happening and happened in between that I was in awe reading this one. Nothing could prepare me for this one. The number of times I cheered, laughed, the smexy times or those oh my god moments, were all so worth it.
Monty who is now a detective and Kassie who is now a powerful criminal lawyer pick are still so in tuned with each other. There are so many aspects in this that has me in a wonder. The character growth that happens here is a thing of beauty. I always love to read books where the leads are secure in themselves and that is so wonderfully refreshing. We see some of our fav characters from the previous books and some new and we love them all.
The title has such a poignant feel to it while reading this one it is truly Love without Influence.
This book has my has my heart and no one can shake me. In the end i will just say "oh my god".

The evil genius has struck again! Jade Dollston, you never cease to amaze me. And this book, Monty and Kassie's book, ohhhhh girl!!! I have been struggling for days since I finished it to come up with the words to share here. And there really aren't many - they are all left on the pages of this book.
The front half of this book is all Monty and Kassie's origin story from when they are teenagers. And there Jade gives us the insight into them, which is pivotal. But they are so dang sweet!!! Then, well... life happens. And it has us raging!
The second half of the book is their redemption tour. And boy oh boy, is it one! There we see how life has hardened them, but also how it has kept that light of hope burning bright - albeit more sheltered. But when two souls belong together, you can't keep these magnetic souls apart. They are meant to be. And that is truly how Monty and Kassie are.
That said, second-half-of-book-Monty... I wasn't prepared!!! So if you're reading this and have yet to start this book, have a fan, a glass of ice water and possibly a couple of shots of your favorite liquor, complete aloneness and silence for the duration, and a couple of pairs of spare underwear. You'll need all of these items. Perhaps they should come standard with the book?
I digress.
It's hard to go into the particular storyline of this book without giving anything away, and I for one would not want to know anything before experiencing this book! It is a rollercoaster with very high highs and very low lows. It is funny, beautiful, heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. You'll feel like your emotions are experiencing a split personality with how quickly they'll bounce from a feeling of elation to anger and from joy to misery.
But Jade Dollston always always brings her own very special and unique twist to a story. First off, she's funny!! Like omg is she funny. But she's so sweet, her characters are always so sweet even though they might come off rough, deep down low they are the biggest teddy bears. And Jade just has a different feel to her stories - she makes you feel light, even though she dives into difficult topics. Oh, that reminds me, check those trigger warnings. I'm not one to usually get triggered, but there is one scene here that did trigger me - not in a bad way at all - but the way Jade wrote it, it was just so real!
That all said, Monty and Kassie are chef's kiss. The Bouvier family saga is amazing! I didn't think she could oust Daddy AB Bouvier but I mean... Monty is giving him a real run for his money here! Adult Monty is just the whole package of delicious man-meat perfection. I'd love for him to spin my wheel of fortune! (For those who've read the book, you know what I mean with that! ;) )
Hands-down recommend this book. Not even a hesitation! It is amazing, beautiful, riveting, heartbreaking, and yet, don't worry because Jade will put us back together at the end!

If I thought Book 1 was great, Book 2 then was amazing. The drama of the Bouvier family, the secrets and this love story had me on the edge of my seat, gutted me and then put all the pieces back. Monty & Kassie are true loves that were torn apart and years later brought back together. There are secrets, lies and so much spice - I kept turning the page to devour this one and find out how this story ends.
The first half is the backstory of Kass & Monty - it's such a sweet first love story until it all unravels. Monty is so devoted to Kass and what happens between them completely changes who they are when you meet them in part 2, present day.
Kass is no longer the shy girl but a fierce lawyer & single mom. You get the sense she's been through some trauma with her ex, which is breadcrumbed throughout. Monty is no longer the sweet, sensitive boy but a no nonsense, closed off detective. When circumstances bring him back into Kassie's orbit, the feelings they both buried come to the surface and you start seeing glimpses of who they use to be. I absolutely loved that we didn't have to wait long for Kass & Monty to give into their feelings. And when Monty shows Kass his dom side, she leans into without hesitation and it's SO GOOD!
The spice in this one does not disappoint but it's the drama & emotions behind our MCs that had me hooked. Monty realizes that Kass was his missing piece and will do anything to keep her. His childhood dreams that he buried are now within his reach and he will do anything to make them a reality. Kass is hesitant (with good reason - please check triggers) but she knows Monty is also it for her. They come together despite all the hurdles from their past and present in their way.
There is so much more to the Bouvier family that gets uncovered and leads us into the upcoming Book 3. I cannot wait as my jaw was on the floor with the revelation at the end.

What a roller coaster of emotion this book is! Monty and Kassie meet as teenagers and fall hard. Things move quickly but there are outside forces trying to separate them...and unfortunately they (as well as other circumstances) do. Years pass and suddenly they are bought together and discover the truth. There is also an element of suspense that builds nicely throughout the book. Absolutely love Sully!!

We all know I have an obsession for Jade’s books, but an even deeper obsession with these men she writes!!! And holy hell balls of fire I’m a smitten kitten for Monty Bouvier! Just when I thought no one would EVER take the place of his big brother, Auburn… Monty swoops in with a quickness and makes me swoon the biggest of swoons!! And then their daddy Paul! Call me crazy but I am gonna need to be sandwiched between all 3 of these sexy men!!! Talk about some crazy taboo thoughts rolling through my head ….. ok, okay, I’ll stop!!
But, Seriously! This was one of the best books I’ve ever read! This series is phenomenal! The story of Kassie and Monty is truly a masterpiece. They have been through so many things together. Both heart breaking and absolutely wonderful times, plus all the in between! Their journey is beautifully written!!!! I absolutely love and adore both of their characters so so much! You can truly feel their souls with the description Jade uses with her character development in this story!
I knew going into this book it would be fantastic, but really just wasn’t prepared for how attached I would become to the characters and the side characters as well. This might be one of the first books that I wish was even 1000 pages long because they are so amazing! I can’t get enough of this family and cannot wait for the next book!
I adore the side characters, Kass’s bff, and her mama! The family support from Monty’s older brother. Kassie’s friends! Just all of them!

I absolutely loved Monty and Kassie the little insight of them that you get in the first book made me so excited for this book. Every question I had about them in The first book was answered in this book so much more. The way this book ended to set up more books in this series has made this series one my favorite. Highly recommend this book.

Better than I could have imagined🤩🖤🖤
Monty LOVES Kassie they just make sense together. Their goals, aspirations and future plans seem so bright. When tragedy happens, Month and Kassie go through the unthinkable. They are fighting their issue and their families. I cried in the beginning because of how Month processes, you don’t get that pov in most books and how raw the emotions came off the pages. Also, the big brother support he has with Auburn. I loved getting to experience the growth and tragedy in the beginning it really fed the second part of the book.
When Kassie and Monty reconnect and start to unpack the past, the connection between the two just builds and builds. It feels like they just picked back up and start to mold their new lives together.
The relationship between Monty and Sully, there were parts when Jade described Monty looking at Sully and you could feel how much he already knew Sully was meant to be his! 🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭
Let’s not forget the spice! JADE is the SPICY BANTER QUEEN!!🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Grown up Monty…have Mercy the mouth on that man🥵🥵🥵. All I could think was “yes officer, I’ve been a very bad girl!” My gosh the scenes were so intimate and just raunchy in the most delicious way. Grown up Month and Kassie are a good time.
I worried I wouldn’t love book 2 as much as one because book one was a 5 star read for me…but leave it to Jade to knock it put of the park! Speaking of park, I loved the Layton and Arizona cameo! I just finished Double Play by AK Landow and their part was so cute. I love the interconnected worlds between the authors.
I’m so excited to hear Cruz’s story, I kind of had an idea during some of the scenes with Cruz and Auburn that Cruz was going to be important. The instant bond and easiness is just there, but I knew it when he and Monty connected.
Overall this book has everything I love, romance, tragedy, betrayal, secrets, suspense and some sprinkles of mystery. Another 5 star read and experience.

I really enjoyed Monty and Kassie’s story. I loved them as teens and loved them even more as adults. Monty and Kassie were absolutely precious when they were young. After their heart break they were torn apart and it was so, so sad. I truly felt bad for them and needed them to find each other again. As adults Monty and Kassie are both strong and determined. As much as I hated their time apart, they both really grew into themselves. I loved the suspense and added mystery but hated we didn’t get a resolution with one of the main events! I don’t know if it will be answered in future books or if the lack of resolution is the “end” but I want answers so bad. I really enjoyed how other secrets were revealed in this story - there wasn’t a lot of turmoil the characters went through to tell each other how they felt and it made the story much smoother. As always, check for TWs and happy reading!

Well well … let’s welcome Monty to the scene!!! We’ve gotten snippets of him in the previous novel but now we get to get down and dirty with him! And let me tell you….you definitely want to get down and dirty!!
The beginning had me laughing to myself as I read how Monty tried to me Mr. Tough guy by being dared to eat the spiciest thing on the menu….it didn’t end well for him (thankfully it was in private). But it was 100% something I could see happening in my head.
The book is a slow progression for Kassie and Monty because they have a lot of history behind them before they meet again as adults. But it is so descriptive and intriguing that you cannot help but keep turning those pages to find out what happened…who did it….why did it happen….and of course will they get their HEA (spoiler alert….yes they do). And what’s a book without some kind of drama…suspense and hell let’s throw in some stalking.
If you liked Love without Numbers you will love this one too. And you get to catch up with Auburn and Gianna….and we get some snippets of Loli & Pop (love them!) If that isn’t reason enough to read it…I don’t’ know what to say except…Uniform & Handcuffs

They come from two different worlds, but this made them perfect in all the ways that matter, and are both wise beyond their years. They experience a life changing loss that for reasons out of their control, drives them apart for 16 years.
Monty is now a detective in the police force, but remains haunted by the past, with walls built to protect himself from this hurt and loss of the love of his life. He has become hardened to the world as a way to protect himself in all that he has experienced at such a young age.
Kassie is a criminal lawyer, what she always said she wanted to be, and her life changed too that night when she experienced that profound loss. Kassie is extremely strong and fiercely protective of her son, Sully, in a bid to keep him safe from her ex husband who is the stuff of nightmares.
Monty and Kassie find themselves, meeting once again, after events bought Monty home to his family, after being away for so so long. It brings with them, all those feels of long ago, all those unanswered questions and that sense of loss they forever shared. In true Jade style, this has all those feels, where in the first chapter I am laughing out loud until my stomach hurts, to other moments were my sobs are deep and cleansing, as certain aspects touch on those emotions I have stored deep down inside of me. I loved seeing characters from AK Landow's most recent book, make an appearance, and the relationships between brothers, Auburn and Monty, which was driven apart by the events, also. If you loved Book 1 of this series, you will absolutely love this too.

It brings with them, all those feels of long ago, all those unanswered questions and that sense of loss they forever shared. In true Jade style, this has all those feels, where in the first chapter I am laughing out loud until my stomach hurts, to other moments were my sobs are deep and cleansing, as certain aspects touch on those emotions I have stored deep down inside of me. I loved seeing characters from AK Landow's most recent book, make an appearance, and the relationships between brothers, Auburn and Monty, which was driven apart by the events, also. If you loved Book 1 of this series, you will absolutely love this too.

i’m a sucker for second chance romance and dollston totally slayed this one!! auburn mentioned rawahhhh 🖤 the past was so cute i love learning more about the whole family and was so happy every time auburn appeared it’s like a little treat. monty tho really setting some high standards. nothing makes me laugh more than the “wheel of fortune” and using fsog as a reference help lololol so many times i actually laughed out loud the( rose toy ) but also warning may need tissues the amount of times this one made me cryyy if you like second chance, police detective MMC, attorney FMC, dom/sub you , and my personal favorite lots of good spice need to add this to your tbr!! also what the heck was that ending omggg i need the next book asap !!

I loved this one from start to finish! I went through every single emotion but I knew from the start that Monty and Kassie were meant to be...
I so loved that we could read about their love from the very beginning!
I never thought Auburn would be knocked of the top place but boy... Monty is THE man....
What is it with the Bouvier men? And their strong women?
A definite MUST read and can't wait for the next part !

I devoured this book!
I don’t know what jade put in this book but I legit couldn’t stop reading!
I couldn’t stop swooning, or grinning the entire book.
Then I teared up. This book is beautifully writtien 2nd chance romance.
Kassie and Monty met when they were 16 and have been connected. Some terrible things happen is it takes these two 16 years to see eachother again and it was worth it all!
Gosh Monty had me wearing heart eyes the whole time!

Jade Dollston’s “Love Without Influence” is the second book in her Bouvier Family Saga, and it tells the tale of Monty Bouvier and Kassie Ramirez’s second chance romance.
Monty and Kassie originally fell in love as teenagers, but circumstances beyond their control tore them apart. The book explains what happened in the past, and then there’s a time jump that takes the reader to the present, where the rest of the story takes place.
I thought Monty and Kassie had some serious chemistry, even when they were teenagers. Their relationship was tender and sweet, and it was definitely first love for them both.
When they reconnect as adults, there’s still those tender and sweet moments, but their relationship is different now that they both have more life experience and have been apart.
Both Monty and Kassie were likable characters, and I was really glad they eventually found their way back to each other. To sum this up, I thought this was a fantastic read that was action-packed and full of plot twists. It was definitely a 5 star read for me, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I Loved it. I had all the emotions with this one ...I laughed, cried, was angry and swooned. The character development is fantastic and I love how strong the FMC is. Can't wait for the next one. Jade has a way of making me fall in love with the characters through her incredible writing.

Wow wow wow I can't say enough how much I loved this book. Kassie is a survivor and a badass! Monty is fiercely protective, and their story is one of heartbreak and love. I loved all the emotions this book takes you on and the surprise characters! I loved it! I would say read the TW before reading.

First I will say I love love this series. I loved the first book (Love Without Numbers) and could not wait to read this one!
The characters in this book are so easy to love. I love that the characters from the first book also come over to this book as well. I love when you fall in love with characters and you get to see them throughout the other stories as well.

The spice in this book is 😘😘. The plot was not over shadowed by the spice and I love that. It had a great balance! I can’t wait for the next book!!

I have loved all of Jade’s books and this book is no different! This book gave me all the emotions.. I laughed, cried, was angry, and swooned. The character development is absolutely fantastic and I love how strong the FMC (Kassie) is! I I am absolutely in love with this series and can’t wait to read the next book! 110% recommend if you want a book the give you all the feels.

This was one of the best books I’ve ever read and I read 3 to 4 books a week. This is the first time I’ve read this author, and the first book was magnificent. This book was really great. Also as I thoroughly love and care about the characters. Could’ve done with less BDSM scenes as I felt they were contrary to the sincere feelings the characters had, but I absolutely love the book and I’m so grateful there is a third.

I don’t even know where to start with this book. I was so excited to receive it and get started. The story captures you right from the start with the main characters and leaves you wondering what the heck went wrong and what happened?? As the story unfolds you get a true love story that withstands the test of time! Great story Jade!!!!

I knew this would be a good story after reading Love Without Numbers, because that in itself was a cracker of a book🥰. They were briefly introduced there, with enough of a teaser for this book. And I was hooked!!
What can I say? It’s another firecracker of a rollercoaster, with a fair bit more angst and sadness, but still very very funny, smexy and overall a feel good story. I can’t decide which pair of characters I prefer yet, so I’ll have to read them both again.
Love does conquer all! Loved this book, can’t wait to see what comes next! 🥰

Just finished this amazing book. Jade does know how to bring her stories to life and make you feel what the characters feel. I do love second chance trope. It follows 2 high school sweethearts who end up suffering a huge heartbreak and being separated, only to find each other again many years later. I cannot wait for the next book.

I literally have nothing but good things to say about this book. It was well-paced, easy to read, and there were 0 loose ends left in the story. I DEVOURED it. I read it in one night because from start to finish I was hooked. The love story was beautiful, Monty was hot af, and Kassie was such a badass. I loved how much insight we got into their lives, who they are, and what they like. It made me so attached to the characters and their story. I wanted to see them win, and win they did. Honestly, it’s just such an amazing story about how no matter where you go love will always find its way back to you. 10/10 will be recommending this book to everyone. Now please excuse me while I go read Auburn’s story 👀

I tell you that no book has ever made me feel so emotional as this one right here. This book had me crying so many happy and sad tears but it also left me feeling so many emotions that I’ve had to process through everything.
I also loved how we got their past first and then the present instead of going back and forth.
I thought no one could top Daddy Auburn but as much as I love him Monty just moved to the top. The mouth on this man…. Whooo! Getting to read about him going from a teenager to a man.. LORD HAVE MERCY! And Kassie. I just love her take no crap attitude and willingness to do what she can to protect those she loves

I absolutely loved Love Without Influence. Monty was not what I was expecting, he was dominating while also having a soft sweet side for Kassie. Kassie I'd an amazing mom, lawyer and over all kick @$$ woman. I loved seeing their love evolve over the 2 different timelines. 🌶🌶🌶🌶 on my spice meter. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read as usual from Jade Dollston!
