The Forbidden Heir Trilogy #2

The Crown of Wyvern's Flame

Rate this book
To save her kingdom, she must ally herself with a rising rebellion, a powerful sorceress, and master the force of a wyvern's inferno…

Lia and Jace have found an unexpected love in each other that spans across enemy lines, and with it, the means to end the fae and human war. That is, until Lia is kidnapped, Jace is injured, and hope has never seemed so far out of reach.

Now suffering the torturous hands of her cruel brother in the Islan dungeons, Lia must find a way to escape, all while dodging her ex-lover's plans to take her and the throne for himself.

Meanwhile, across the continent, Jace is forced to recover from his near-fatal wound. Separated from the female he loves, he's desperate to prepare his army for the battles ahead.

Except, as a mounting rebellion and civil unrest grows within the kingdom—aided by old friends and powerful magic—so do their enemies. Their fight is far from over, and with their world and those they love in jeopardy, they have everything to save—and everything to lose.

Return to the world of Velyra in this captivating sequel of sweeping adventure, high stakes, and a romance that spans across lands, time, and a deadly war.

Dedication To feminine rage. & all those who have it burning beneath their skin...may you release it with the ferocity of wyvern's flame.

NOTE: This is the first book I have decided not to give a star rating for but that does not indicate that I did not enjoy this book! I read through this in a few days and wanted to wait to post my review until after the publication date - also to give myself time to gather my thoughts.

“Fearing death is normal. Our souls leaving the realm is an unknown, terrifying thing that looms over us mortals day in and day out. However, fear will not help you out there! Fear is not on your side. Do you know what is? Anger.”

I will start by saying that I would recommend The Forbidden Heir trilogy to anyone who is looking to dip their toes into fantasy or anyone who is trying to venture from romantasy to epic fantasy. I feel like these books offer a good balance of romance that romantasy readers love and the fantasy elements found in epic fantasy novels. Overall, I did really enjoy reading this; however, at the time I read this, I wanted a more in-depth epic fantasy (think, Tolkien,). I adore the world that Emilia created and fell in love with multiple of her characters. This story was unique and incredible to read through it's progression but I was left wanting more. But again, that could be solely because of my mood/desire when I picked up this book.

First things first, I am freaking OBSESSED with Lia. She is the type of badass FMC I yearn for when I read. (Let's also not forget about Nox - I would absolutely read an entire book or novella on his backstory before he & Lia met 🤭). And Jace.... I said this when I read The Dagger And The Forbidden Heir and I will say it again: The man is ... THE. MAN.🧎‍♀️
🥵“Now, what kind of man would I be if I didn’t kneel before my queen?”

One of my favorite parts of this series is the fact that Emilia writes in the antagonist's POV - I simultaneously hated and devoured those chapters. But this is where I wanted more. I loved that in the first book we saw the story from all angles, it was one of the elements that hooked me in and left me wanting MORE books. I wish this book went BIGGER. I wanted to dive deeper into the enemy's thoughts - the queen, the evil brother, all of them. I wanted more. I am glad Kellan's POV was included in this book, don't get me wrong though! I just live for chaos I suppose!

There were certain parts that foreshadowed to potential [devastation] if certain actions were taken but when those actions kept happening ... and... I was left confused? Again, I wanted chaos and just... more. This book was a great reconnection after Book 1 but because I went in knowing it was only a trilogy, I wanted high stakes drama - I cannot reiterate this enough, I did overall enjoy this and will absolutely read book 3! (I need to know what happens with Avery and ___, I NEED IT TO HAPPEN LIKE I NEED OXYGEN!) But at the end, I was left wanting more.

“I love you. There will never be a single second of time where my desire for you, or to be with you, fades. Whatever you need me for today, and any day, I am here to be just that.”

So so many thanks to Emilia Jae for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have never been so scared and excited for a book! I got the ARC less than 10 minutes ago and I am ready to be reconnected with my bb Jace and Lia!🥰

5⭐️3.5🌶

This series has me in a choke hold! It has all the elements of a fae fantasy series that I absolutely adore! Fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, dragon/wyvern riding, witches/magic systems, and so much action and political intrigue. I cannot say enough good things about this series.

If you're a fan of J. L. Armentrout, Elise Kova, or Danielle L. Jensen then you definitely need to read this series.

Elianna has been captured by the people she thought of as family, but they are as evil as they come. Her half-brother is set to become the next Fae King and her ex-lover has found out that she's the former King's first child. Her only path out is with the help of the guard/father figure, her two younger half siblings, and an imprisoned wyvern.

"There is not a single part of you or your body that I do not find exquisite. I have kissed every inch of your body before, and I will do it again. Over and over for the remainder of my existence. Because you are mine. Those scars are nothing but a reminder of how strong you are. How resilient and powerful you have become. Regardless of the outcome of this war, you are my queen. From now until my dying breath."

This is a four POV book, told by the POV´s of Elianna, Jace, Kellan and Avery.

Already loved Elianna in the first book and love her even more in this one. She´s strong, brave, smart, resilient and a true badass. I loved that she was battle trained from the beginning of the series and didn´t just start to learn in the books, but had the skill set from the beginning. And I love how she is getting just more and more badass throughout the books. I feel like Jace compliments her well, equally as strong, smart, resilient and skilled with a sword. I love how it´s a couple of two complete warriors and none of them is the "weaker" part so to speak; and how they both protect and value each other so much.

Regarding side characters I am excited to see more of Avery´s story in the third book, as well as Finnian and Landon´s. The book really gave me found family vibes in that aspect and I loved how they all interacted with each other. I feel like Gage brings a breath of fresh air everytime he is on page due to his humour. I hope to learn more about their background stories in the next book.

Plotwise I absolutely loved this one. Good character development paired with many good action scenes and a great pacing that feels neither too slow nor too fast. I loved the Wyvern part, it felt very "Fourth Wing" tbh, but not in a copied way more in a "uhhh how exciting, a book that is similar in that aspect" way if you get me. I loved the chemistry between the characters, Elianna and Jace are just like ughh, the cutest. I love how he worships Elianna and how they interact so lovingly with each other. You can expect some tame spice scenes in here. Not anything too detailed but also not completely fade to black. One of the POV´s is from the villain, which to be honest, I could have dealt without but it´s quite interesting to read nevertheless.

Overall it was a great book and I can´t wait for book three.

Wyverns flame picks up right where we left off with that heart wrenching cliff hanger. Jace and Lia have been separated. Jace is healing physically; Lia has been captured and is facing the punishment of the Queen and soon to be new King, Kai. This book was just as action packed as the first and I was just as enveloped as I was with the first. Mates and Dragons and Found family …Oh my! Em’s writing and development of her characters makes you feel like you are living this fantasy out with them. It’s fantastic and with the different POVs you are truly kept invested the whole time. Within the turmoil is just enough humor and love to continually give you hope for our heroine and her band of loyal family both blood and found. I’ve fallen in love with every character and I absolutely loathe the villains but good goddess are they written so well. Em I have no patience and NEED the next book. This one does end on a cliff hanger as well and I’m anxious for what comes next. I’m ready for all the war and revenge that I know is coming from our fierce and true heir Lia.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review and I’m so freaking glad I did! Emilia has done it again! I didn’t get to read The Dagger and the Forbidden Heir as an ARC but it’s been a top priority and making this ARC team bumped it up and my life has been significantly improved!

I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough! I constantly needed to know what was going to happen next! Emilia spun gold with the relationships and action in this book!

Lia, our FMC, is freaking hilarious! At times I was started to get frustrated by her immaturity but then it would be explained and I was content. And I always appreciate room for character growth 🥰

Our MMC is the actual best book boyfriend! He looks like he could kill you but is a total cinnamon roll and I freaking love him! Clear your day March 26th cause you’ll want to read this!

Thank you so much Emilia for letting me join the street team and arc read both The Dagger and the Forbidden Heir and The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame.

The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame picks up where The Dagger and the Forbidden Heir leaves off. And if you’ve read Dagger you know that it leaves off on quite a bit of a cliffhanger. This series might become my favorite series because it truly has all the elements that you could want in a romance fantasy. You get found family, enemies to lovers, banter, lovable side characters, truly evil villains, witches, fae, Wyverns and other mythical creatures, multiple POVs and some spice.

The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame was fast paced and had nonstop action and unraveling secrets. The book truly makes you feel all the emotions and to me that alone made it a five star read. The way Emilia writes is so good and makes you feel like you’re really in the story. The chapters are short and it switches between POVs so it keeps you turning the pages.

Elianna is one of my favorite FMCs because she is fae and a warrior. She is smart and kind to her people. She really went through so much and she deserves to have something go right for her. It’s been a lovely journey seeing her fight for herself and the family that she loves. Her dynamic with Nox in this book was amazing as well. I’m such a sucker for an animal (Wyvern) in a book because he’s such a big majestic thing, but has some funny quirks like he’s just a baby still.

The MMC Jace is a top tier book boyfriend and the romance aspect in this book is SO good. I was kicking my feet and squealing at some of the quotes. And then his best friend Gage is also a favorite for me. I cannot wait to see what happens with Gage in books to come.

I’m definitely a huge fan of this series and book three can’t come soon enough! I absolutely loved the way this one ended. The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame might be one of my new favorite books ever. Add this one to your TBR because it comes out March 26th, 2024.

If you’re looking to get into fantasy or for a more easier fantasy to get into I would recommend this series. The world building is not too complex. This book has multiple POVs even the villains. I loved that the dragon has quite the personality and it remained me of Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon. This was a good read.

More of a review to come.

The second book in the trilogy picks up where the first left off and hits the ground running. The expansion of the world-building in this second installment is exciting. This has a rich and immersive setting, but with modern dialogue, making it a quick, easy-to-understand read.

One of the standout elements of this book is the inclusion of villain POVs, even one from the queen herself. This adds a layer of complexity to the story, allowing readers to gain insight into the motives behind the darker characters' actions. This allows for a little more depth and nuance to their characters. But perhaps the most delightful addition to the cast is Nox, the grumpy wyvern with a heart of gold. Nox's presence brings a touch of humor and warmth to the narrative, and his bond with Lia is both heartwarming and endearing. Love him SO much. I also love how Lia's worlds are colliding with her human friends and her siblings meeting up and rubbing elbows.

Overall, this is a great sequel that will leave readers eagerly anticipating the next installment. With its sweeping adventure, high stakes, and a captivating romance, this book is sure to be a win with any romantasy lover. This is a great set up for the next book.

Thank you to the author for the copy. This review is based on a complimentary pre-released copy and it is voluntary.

Book two starts with Lia in a precarious situation. She befriends a wyvern and makes her way to her mate, who is ready to help her gain her rightful place on the throne.
The story continues on multiple POVs that help round out all the moving parts of the story. I love that Lia has so many amazing people in her corner, ready to give it all to let her lead the kingdom to peace and prosperity between the humans and the fae.
Jace and Lia’s connection feels so lived in and I love it. Relationships are not perfect and I am sure more turmoil will befall our favorite duo, but for now, the way that they support each other ALWAYS is beautiful.
The last 10% ramp up the stress to new heights and our girl ends on a path to vengeance. Book three cannot come soon enough!

I absolutely loved The Dagger and The Forbidden Heir so I was so excited to finally read the second book and wow it didn’t disappoint.

Emilia’s writing is so beautiful and what I really loved in the first book became even more beautiful in this one and that’s the way everything flows there is always so much happening that the pace never slows down but it’s not done in a way that loses you and while the world building is complex it is so easy to read and follow along. I just love everything about this world that has been created.

I love how instead of just having the two main characters Lia and Jace’s PoV we have different characters including the villians which I absolutely loved as it kept the plot moving along and I enjoyed seeing things from different aspects. This villian is pure evil and I love how his pov was incorporated throughout the book.

This series is just so good from the story, to the character development and the magic it really pulls me straight in and keeps me engaged. We learn as the characters learn and it’s one of my favourite things about this series. I can’t wait for the last book and highly recommend to anyone who loves a fantasy series!

Thank you again so much Emilia for the chance to be an arc reader for this amazing series. These are my honest thoughts and voluntary review.

I am really enjoying this series so far! I really liked the first book, and I think this one just gets better. These books are so much fun, and they fit in really well with what I think is the ideal fantasy read. I think if I had to compile a list of books that would best exemplify my taste in books, this book (and series) would definitely make the cut. It's a fantasy series that is full of adventure and romance that contains a lovable cast of characters and also features magical animal/magical creature companions. Honestly this series has so many elements that I love in it and I had a lot of fun reading the two books so far in the series. There is a good balance of romance and adventure and I feel like the pacing is really good. I really enjoy the characters, and I like how the points of view alternate. I liked that the author added more points of view from the first book. I feel like whether I like the characters can make or break a series for me. I don't care how good a plot is or how well written a book may be because if I don't like the characters, it is nearly impossible for me to enjoy a book. On the flip side, if I love the characters, I will probably fall easily into the book and forgive some weaker points in the book. I think some smaller aspects here and there that I didn't love in the book, which is why I didn't rate it even higher, but I still really enjoyed this book. I think that Nox, the wyvern, was probably one of my favorite parts of the book. I love magical creatures and magical animals in my fantasy books. I feel like the inclusion of them just makes a book a whole lot more fun. I feel like after reading this book I realized that over the past few years, some of my favorite books I've read have been my indie authors and it's made me a lot more willing to dive into a completely unknown book or author. I had never heard of this author before, and I got her first book while it was on a free book promotion. I am so happy that I decided to pick that book up and then read this one as well. I can't wait until the next book comes out, especially with how everything ended in this book. I'm definitely going to be following this author to see what else she has in store because this series has definitely made a fan out of me.

I decided to bump my rating up a bit after rereading this book because I enjoyed it even more the second time around. This is definitely my kind of fantasy book, and it was so much fun to read. I really enjoy the characters, the plot is fun and well paced, and I enjoy the romance aspect as well. It is a well-balanced series, in my opinion, and I absolutely can't wait for the next book to come out to read how it all ends.

Ooh, things are getting STRESSFUL in Velyra. After the ending of Dagger, things are not going great for Lia. She's got a lot to overcome and I think she had a lot of character growth in this book. She recognized her mistakes and took responsibility. She's still flawed but I love her.

Jace, of course, remains perfect and I will accept no criticism. Did he make some of his own questionable choices? Maybe but we aren't talking about that. He's PERFECT 😤. The way he loves Lia and his family and his people so fiercely and wants to protect everyone just makes me love him more.

Of course I absolutely LOVE Nox. Our adorable sky puppy wyvern. He and Abraxos would be besties. Just two sweet baby angels who love their riders unconditionally and will protect them at all costs.

The addition of Veli's POV in this book was my favorite. She's a fascinating character and I loved her inner monologue. I loved how much she cared about Avery, Finn, and the kingdom but also had an "I'm too old for this shit" attitude 😂. I'm extremely interested in her past and how it will affect the story in book 3.

Of course the inclusion of the Villain POV in this series continues to make it unique and so fun. You're going to love to hate the villains in this book. They are THE WORST. Especially Kellan. I wish I had as much audacity as this mediocre white man.

This book opens up the world building so much and I really enjoyed how everything unfolded and I cannot wait for the conclusion of this trilogy.

An enjoyable sequel. I had a pretty similar experience to reading book 1. Still enjoying the multi POV, loved getting a lot more of Nox (a perfect blend of Abraxos and Toothless), loved getting more Veli and a bit more world-building. The 2nd half of this definitely picks up a lot, especially (again) the last 10%. Excited for book 3 and to see how this all wraps up!

*SPOILERY THOUGHTS BELOW*
- Yes I know this is fiction so it didn't bother me enough to make me dislike the book but I could not stop thinking about how Lia was simply able to communicate with and ride Nox out of nowhere. Now I do have a theory for book 3 but we'll see if that pans out...
- While I loved Jace & Lia's reunion, I think I wasn't as invested (at first) because their romance felt so rushed in the first book. But I quickly got over that and just enjoyed them together, especially chapter 34!!! I love a good care-taking scene and the author delivered.
- Nox cooking an entire f*cking cow in apology is the best scene in the book. Sorry guys, he stole the show.
- I'm absolutely fine with this not being super spicy. However, I am not fine with being teased with supposed "plans" multiple times...
ch 40 Jace says "Oh I wont be letting this body go anytime soon. I have plans for it."
ch 41 Jace says "Let's go home. I have some...ideas I plan to act on."
ch 44 Jace says "And you...I have plans for you."
.....we never see the plans come to fruition lol rude
- while I reallyyyy enjoyed the world building we got in ch 50, it did feel like a huge info dump and made me realize that there was barely any world-building prior to that other than hey there's a fae/human war that's lasted for a century.
- Landon & Finn making up was the bestttt but glossed over way too quickly
- theory for book 3 - Lia's mom was a healer and we now know that "healers" could be witches (or sorceress as Veli prefers). So my guess is Lia is actually half fae half witch. I am HOPING this explains a little more why she so easily connected with Nox like some instinctual thing but we shall see!!!

This is the second book in the Forbidden Heir Trilogy. I was obsessed with book 1 (The Dagger and the Forbidden Heir) and am now also obsessed with this one. I genuinely cannot wait to see how the series concludes.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐍𝐆:
These books are honestly perfect and the writing is both easy to read and comprehend. It’s like an in between of medium and fast paced TO ME. It’s definitely written to get straight to the plot but somehow also has great world building that isn’t confusing (not that I don’t enjoy the occasional “my head hurts trying to remember everything” heavy world building).

Em (I call her that because we’re friends 💅🏽) writes in a way that makes you giggle. I imagine she writes just how she talks and I love that about these books.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒:
Lia is the BADDEST BXTCH please. I adore her. Here in book two you kinda get to know the side characters a lot more and I fell even more in love with ALMOST all of them (😒). The different personalities mesh so well together. Jace? Hot. Obsessed with him. Gage? I adore. DONT GET ME STARTED ON SHADOW MOMMY VELI. The found family aspect is everything here. Did I mention THERE IS A WYVERN. Nox is so precious. I’d die for him. Truly.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓:
I freaking love the plot real bad. It’s a good one and it’s not too complex. Book one starts off telling you the plot throughout the series and then you watch everything unfold as you go. It creates this intense page turner that you cannot put down.

If you like enemies to lovers, found family, wyverns, funny banter, feminine rage. All of that combined with a great storyline. Add these to your TBR bookie.

Emilia Jae! What did you put in this??

The Crown of Wyvern's Flame is book two of The Forbidden Heir Trilogy, and it came out swinging! Readers are sucked back into this world and find themselves right where book one left off. Thankfully, our characters quickly find their ways out of the immediate trouble of their circumstances and we're not left begging for the story to move faster. This one moves FAST, whether it's because the story is fast paced or because you just can't stop reading, I don't know.

Our main characters didn't really have a lot of development in this one which is not a negative. We did however get a broader view into our side characters and the population of this world which I was very grateful for. They play an even bigger role in this story than our MC's (at least at the moment) and I think Jae did a great job of showing this. Plus, you can NEVER go wrong with a sassy Wyvern.

My only gripe here was that I'm in desperate need of book 3 to complete this series. I cannot wait to see how Jae ties this one up!

Review 👑

“To save her Kingdom, she must ally herself with a rising rebellion, a powerful sorceress, and master the force of a wyverns inferno.”

Book 2 of the Forbidden Heir trilogy did not disappoint! Huge character growth in the FMC Lia who really starts to shine in this one. Plus the growth seen in some of the side characters such as Princess Avery was written so well. I also loved the introduction of the sorceress and the background info we get from her. And can’t forget about Nox🥹 The teddy bear wyvern. What really stands out to me in this book is the detailed world building and overall details of the characters! Em does a great job throwing you right into the middle of it all with how vivid the writing is. Book 2 leaves you with yet another cliffhanger that will have you begging for the next one! Oh and my hate for the villains is taken to a higher level! Another super unique element of this book is you get a POV from them as well!

Thank you, Emilia, for the ARC!

Review to come later, far too sleepy right now

Update, finally awake enough for thoughts to happen lmao.

In the second addition to Emilia’s debut series, The Forbidden Heir Trilogy, Elianna’s story to claim her name and rightful place continues. In The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame we follow Elianna as she gathers much needed allies, and Avery and Finnian as they accept that things aren’t how they thought they were.

In a surprising turn of events (heavy sarcasm), the wyvern Nox ended up being my favorite parts of the book. Put the personality of a weird horse into a wyvern’s body and you get Nox. I hope we get a lot more of him in the next book, I love him so much.

There’s a lot of lore and world building added into this book that wasn’t in the first (don’t worry, theres a reason for that), as well as an addition of magic we hadn’t seen yet. Both of these add interesting details to the story and I’m intrigued to see how they come back into play in the third and final book.

The continuation of Emilia Jae's The Forbidden Heir Trilogy is a wild ride. It delivers tense moments as we watch Lia and Jace find their way back to each other despite some massive obstacles. It also marks the rise of Avery as a fun POV with a mission of her own. I loved getting insights from all these different characters as they all prepare for battle. It also laces into some sad moments as characters fall saving each other and uncertainty of the next steps.

Emilia Jae does a wonderful job of lacing together hopeful moments with much darker themes that really make for a well-rounded and face-paced story that will have you groaning when you realize you've made it to the last page (thankfully, book 3 is officially out in the world).

4,5 ⭐️!!

Let me tell you I was eating this up! I had such a chilled weekend and was binging this series.

“And then you touched her.” He let out a breathy laugh. “You will die for that.” - OMG I LOVE IT 😮‍💨🫶🏻

I got hooked in the first few chapters and the rest was history 😂 At some point I totally gasped but then giggling like crazy 🤭 It was soo much fun and I totally loved that it was written in Multi-POV so you got a overview of the whole plot! Btw you also get the villain‘s POV and this was something new to me tbh - Emilia wrote those parts so well and I really wanted to punch 🤜🏻 them through the book 😂

There were so many superior tropes I really loved and executed so well by Emilia!
- Enemies to lovers
- WHO DID THIS TO YOU? (Eating this up EVERY.DAMN.TIME)
- secret identities
- fae, sorcerers, humans
- the cutest pet companions: 🐺, wyvern
- WYVERN (do I have to say more? 🙊)

Thank you Emilia Jae for the arc 🥹 this was such a pleasure to be a part of their world 🥰

First, I just want to thank Emilia for an ARC of this book. This book has come out already I’m just finally getting to it!! This series is truly one of my favorites. Some fantasy series have scenes drawn out so then I get bored but this one doesn’t! I was hooked from the beginning.

If you love ACOTAR or Throne of Glass, I highly recommend this series!

ARC Review✨️
All thoughts are my own

Listen, I stayed up entirely too late last night to finish this and I don't regret a single thing.
This book had me going through the full range of emotions 😂 I love @ems.bookish.realm 's writing

I fell in love with the characters in Dagger and I really enjoyed getting to get back to their world. Wyvern's Flame gives us a lot of development in relationships and the world. We get to see more of some characters (this is a good part to mention there's a dragon🖤✨️) and I love seeing all the different side stories unfold. Mostly action packed, but we do get some moments where you can destress and have a glass of wine, literally.😂✨️
I really liked how the book ended, it left me completely hyped (🔥) for the next one to see how these characters get their happy ending.

I'm not one for very long reviews, but I hope I touched on the main points. I laughed, I cried (happy and sad tears), and just overall had a good time reading this book!

I received this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) but this is my honest and voluntary review.

The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame completely opens up the word of Velyra, allowing for more characters to flourish and for the story to progress in such a beautiful journey before this trilogy comes to a close.

In both The Dagger and the Forbidden Heir and The Crown of Wyvern’s Flame, we get POVs from many different characters. I love this part because I love the way you get to see the story from so many angles. It never feels confusing either, which is wonderful. I will forever maintain that Em writes villains that you love to loathe, and you will get their POVs.

My favorite part about Wyvern’s Flame is the wyvern, Nox. Not a surprise here, since I always love the creatures. I especially love that we get to see his personality, even though he can’t communicate in words with Lia. Think Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, and you have everything you need to know about Nox. I also appreciated how much fun his scenes were in contrast to the impending war.

The romance heats up in this book, and I love Lia and Jace. There’s a certain chapter I could probably reread a few times.

We also get a new important character that is crucial to the story. Veli is a sorceress, and she’s a ton of fun. I also think we’ll get more about her backstory in book 3.

These books are such an adventure, and I truly love this world. I have had so much fun reading about these characters, and I’m so curious to see how the trilogy ends, even if I’ll be sad to leave these characters at the end.

This soared above and beyond everything I could have ever hoped for!! I love them so much that it actually hurts 😭🥹

"Those scars are nothing but a reminder of how strong you are. How resilient and powerful you have become.”

Heart has been handed to me on a platter.

Don’t know what sorcery Em was using when she wrote this but I couldn’t stop turning those pages.

• Fated mates
• Touch her or HIM and be obliterated
• Shadow MOMMY
• Kingdom rebellion
•“My Lia”
• FEMININE RAGE
• Found family
• Fae vs humans
• Dragons, wyverns and mythical creatures
• Addicting banter
• Swoony spice
• Incredible character arcs
• Revenge o’clock
• Multi POV

Jace and Lia 🫶 the way these two have captured my heart and gods am I obsessed with them. My girl KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS AND THE WAY HE SUPPORTS HIS QUEEN.. Okay ma’am you did not have to make me fall this hard!

Between one of the bestest found families, the multi POV’s; Nox, Landon and Finn and just the way this entire story is unravelling honestly enthralled doesn’t do this justice. It is epic fantasy at its finest.

Also the number of highlights and notes I have saved is just a little bit too ridiculous!
