Simple. The TV series presented complex operations and situations which included some action happening in which you were never sure how all action would fit together. This is not a MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE story in any fashion. Any group of four spies could have done this -- you didn't need the IMF. Buy the book to complete your collection (I did), but don't waste your time reading it -- though it's a quick read. Disappointing.
