পদ্মজা বাড়ি ফিরে দেখে গেইটের পাশে অজ্ঞান হয়ে পড়ে আছে তারিকুল, তার মাথা থেকে রক্ত বের হচ্ছে৷ সে ড্রাইভারকে নিয়ে দ্রুত গাড়ি থেকে নামল।
উৎকন্ঠা নিয়ে তারিকুলকে ডাকল, 'তারিকুল ভাই? শুনছেন? তারিকুল ভাই।'
ড্রাইভার তারিকুলের গালে থাপ্পড় দিয়েও যখন সাড়া পেল না বলল, 'পানি লাগবে ম্যাডাম।'
পানি আনার জন্য বাড়ির ভেতর ঢুকে আঁতকে উঠে পদ্মজা। মেঝেতে ছড়িয়ে আছে কাচের অসংখ্য টুকরো। চেয়ার, টেবিল, সোফা, আলমারি — সব জিনিসপত্র এলোমেলো হয়ে আছে। কেউ তার গুছানো সংসারকে তছনছ করে ফেলেছে! পাশের দেয়ালে লাল রং দিয়ে আগন্তুক লিখে রেখেছে, মরবে।
পদ্মজা আতঙ্কে দ্রুত আমিরের কাছে টেলিফোন করল, 'হ্যালো...হ্যালো, এখানে তাণ্ডব ঘটে গেছে।'
ওপাশ থেকে রুদ্ধশ্বাস কণ্ঠ ভেসে এলো, 'কী হয়েছে?'
'বাড়িতে কেউ হামলা করেছিল। সব জিনিসপত্র চুরমার করে ফেলেছে। আপনি দ্রুত আসুন।'

ILMA BEHROUZ SAID "YOU LIKED PODDOJA? HERE'S MORE" AND DELIVERED.
This is a serial novel (ধারাবাহিক উপন্যাস) connected to the Poddoja universe and honestly? The way this woman creates interconnected stories is GENIUS.
The continuation of the world she built in Poddoja but with new layers, new characters, new emotional devastation! Ilma Behrouz understands that readers don't just want the same story again - they want to explore different facets of the world she created, and that's exactly what this delivers.
The writing continues to be gorgeous. That poetic, atmospheric quality that made Poddoja so captivating? It's HERE. The imagery, the symbolism, the way she uses language like a paintbrush creating scenes you can FEEL? Still top-tier.
I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 4.5 because while it's excellent, Poddoja just hit SLIGHTLY different for me. But that's like saying this A+ paper isn't quite as perfect as that other A+ paper - they're both excellent, one just resonated a tiny bit more.
The character work in this is STRONG. These aren't cardboard cutouts, these are fully realized people with complex motivations and realistic flaws. Bengali literature really excels at creating psychologically complex characters and Ilma Behrouz is no exception.
The pacing is deliberate - this is literary fiction, not a thriller. It takes its time building atmosphere and emotion. If you want fast-paced action, this isn't it. If you want beautiful prose that makes you FEEL things? THIS IS IT.
Also can we appreciate authors who give us MULTIPLE books in the same universe? We love expanded storytelling! We love getting to spend more time in worlds we've fallen in love with!
Bengali readers have been eating WELL with Ilma Behrouz's work. The fact that she has such a strong following? DESERVED. She's out here proving that contemporary Bengali literature is thriving.

গুডরিডসে এক তারকার নিচে দেওয়া যায় না। কিন্তু মাঝেমধ্যে মনে হয়, 'মাইনাস রেটিং টা আনা উচিৎ !'
