I’m Lieshe St. James–quirky, curvy, and thirty. As the proud owner of Grimm, an oddities and curiosity store, strange and unusual is my nine-to-five. Off the clock, though–well, there is no such thing. As a result, the only men in my monotonous life are Van Helsing, the shop's skeleton mascot, and Lucifer, my hateful cat.
What begins as a welcome change soon turns sinister when I am pursued by not just one, but two mysterious men. First, my new, but inexplicably familiar nameless neighbor, who is convinced I already belong to him. Then, the fiery and charming Luke Devlin, whose deviant French whispers ignite my hidden desires.
As I am drawn deeper into their world of shadowy secrets, haunting dreams blur the lines between fantasy and reality until my life mirrors Grimm’s macabre essence. Do I submit to Luke’s beckoning darkness, find love in the enigmatic embrace of the familiar stranger, or be my own hero by staying true to myself?
Love Eternal, book one of the Immortal Redemption series, is only the beginning of the longest love story ever told…
Cassandra Elizzabeth is an exciting new indie voice, known for her immersive storytelling and vivid imagination. Her writing journey started when she could not find the books she wanted to read. Cassandra weaves themes of self-discovery, friendship, love, loss, and acceptance into a tapestry of macabre and spicy fiction, with a dash of murder, mayhem, and mystery. When not lost in the world of words, Cassandra can be found talking to the flowers or spending time with her family.
this was…..fine? i didn’t love it but i didn’t hate it i will probably read the rest of the series because i need to know how it ends 🫣
i liked the writing but there were so many descriptions…..like SO MANY DESCRIPTIONS. i don’t need four paragraphs on how to do the Kentucky Chew when tasting bourbon.
i also didn’t understand the romance….is this a why choose or love triangle because im too old for a love triangle when she can be with both men. Luke was okayyyy i didn’t love him. and what’s up with Lilith???? like why is she around starting shit? the other H’s name isn’t revealed until the end but she calls him McDreamy and he’s a vampire? who can shift into a dog AND a bat and lurks in the shadows. i felt bad for him 😂😂😂 like he would smell Luke on the h (whose name i forgot 🫣) and be all sad about it. he broke a 100 years promise to himself because he saw her blowing Luke and heard the words she said to him. i just wanted to hug him 😂😂😂😂😂 but all that to say she never fully has sex with either of them.
it seemed like it was all a setup for the series but not in a good way. it was so long for literally NOTHING to happen. there were so many questions left unanswered. like cut out all the descriptions and needless paragraphs and this could have been a duet instead of a trilogy. 🫣
I went into this blind not knowing what to expect because this is my first book by Cassandra Elizzabeth and it is also her debut novel and it packed one hell of a punch!
I loved how relatable the FMC was, she was witty and a little quirky but also she showed strength, resilience and power within herself. I loved how even though it was difficult, she was learning her self-worth and learning to love herself despite what anyone, especially her parents said and put her through. She was so strong, a fighter and I admired her. I loved how both MC personalities were different from each other, it made it hard to pick which one I liked most.
This book has some pretty hot and steamy scenes that will have you fanning yourself, it’ll have your Kindle melting! With each chapter, the author took you to a whole different world, It was well written and so well descriptive that it was so easy to fall into the story and lose yourself.
I’m not going to dive in deeper, I believe people need to go into this blind, it’s the best way!!
I have so many questions that need answering, I need book two!!!
Oooh this one was a doozy. So much mystery, so much unknown history between allll the characters, SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!! I need answers STAT, my mental health depends on it 😩😂.
I love our h, Lieshe, and all her quirks and gothic chic vibes and her love of whiskey and the macabre. She lacks self-confidence (quite a bit), but she’s working on it: so relatable. Our H’s. YEP, there are TWO! Are both so swoony and loveable in their own ways. McHottie Mystery Man, only known as “Him” during his POV’s, is so incredibly sweet, caring, and obsessive. But you KNOW he has a dark side hidden beneath his cool demeanor. Our other H, Luke, is all fire, spice, seduction and dominance. I can’t quite decide who I love more 😅. Why not both! I’m kidding. Kind of. The choice is all Lieshe’s. Will she choose either man? Or will she choose herself?
Thank you so much @cassandraleizabeth for having me on as an arc reader! I need the next book like I need my next meal. The conclusion left me reeling! I’m so worried and excited for what happens next 😭.
If you love reincarnation stories, if you love aaangst, if you love the push and pull of good and evil, if you love when the h fights for what she wants, if you love walking that fine ass line between love and lust 😏, Love Eternal is for you 🖤.
Star-Crossed lovers Not So Human MMCs Strangers to …. Grumpy Shop Cat Dark Secrets Secret Identities Mysterious Neighbor Dark and delicious French whispering deviant Multi POV
I had the pleasure of BETA reading this phenomenal paranormal debut novel by Cassandra. The FMC Lieshe is relatable, fierce and the owner of an oddities shop, with a grumpy shop cat, Lucifer. Soon she is pursued by two strange men that are far from human. One feels familiar and the other ignites her hidden desires. Welcome to a world of secret identities, embracing the dark, macabre essence, haunting dreams, and dark secrets. The plot is a good steady pace that doesn’t give away much to keep you guessing and at the edge of your seat. Fall in love with each MMC and follow multiple storylines that will captivate you and have you begging for more. A solid foundation for her Love Eternal series. Slow burn and low spice but don’t let that keep you away… it’s building to a delicious, dark series you won’t want to miss.
Ok, so I initially applied for an ARC because the cat is called Lucifer just like mine! Then I read the blurb and was like mmkay, this is a bit of me!
This was so good.
I loved the FMC Lieshe. She is a realistic body shape (finally!!) in her 30’s, sassy and hilarious. I know there is a supernatural element to this but she was so relatable. Loved her.
Then we have our 2 potential love interests. Holy smokes. I needed to fan myself down because they are coming in hot!
This story has me hooked and its claws in deep! Looking forward to book 2!
Let me start by saying that this book was NOT what I expected, and not in a bad way. It took me about 5 days to come up with a phenomenal review because that is what this book deserves, if I was able to give it 10 stars I will.
This book was so well descriptive, so well written that while you are reading you will think you are inside the book, it so well detail, every character every scene it was just phenomenal and to think this is a trilogy. It just beyond words the way Cassandra brought each scene to live, extraordinary. The FMC was my spirit animal, she is amazing, strong, fighter, and i love the way she's trying learn to love herself despite what her parents, specially her father, put her through while growing up. I love that she has this charisma on her to be better, to be successful. Both MC in the book are so well illustrative, each one with different personality that it will be hard to pick and choose which one you like more. It was remarkable, so erotic on the spicy scenes and I cannot wait to read more in this trilogy. Each chapter takes you to a different world, each POV was so spot on for each particular character never loosing momentum. There is a chapter on this book that will drive you insane, the way that she describes every single thing happening in that particular scene was freaking perfection.
The more you get into the story the more you want to know what is going on between all three characters, it will leave you wanting more, wanting names, wanting answers and BOOMB when you get to the end, you'll be WTF did I just read and then you would want to scream and curse out Cassandra by this point LOL.
Just REMARKABLE! READ IT, it would NOT disappoint.
Woahhhhh this book has left me absolutely speechless and it's taking everything within me to try and figure out what exactly I am to say about this book!
This book had me glued from the start. When I sat down to read I would read such a big chunk at a time because the story, the details, the descriptions, everything was absolutely amazing. Backpeddling, the descriptions were so well done that I could 100% visualize this story playing in my head like a movie. It was seriously my favorite thing about this book!
Lieshe is seriously my spirit animal. Like I felt so connected to her in so many ways, it blows my mind. Also, let me just say I would love to visit Grimm!! 😍
Lucifer, Him, Luke, Lilith - man is my head and heart in a completely whirlwind with all of them. Seriously I don't even know how to form words with my thoughts over here.
But in all fairness and honesty, there is very little to be said about this book without spoiling something. So if you're in the mood for a massive mindf*k, second guessing everything, twists and turns around every corner - GO READ IT!
Cassandra, this book has me in a serious mental fog in a great way, but I have no idea how I am going to hold out until book 2. I'm gonna need that baby ASAP lol!
My heart broke several times and is still pounding, my mind is reeling, I am positively blown away and I need more!
I loved the characters and the mystery that surrounds them. Their backstories seem well thought out, but remain a mystery to some extend. Not one character is alike and they ALL stand out. The FMC is a curvy girl and a bit insecure because of it, I think that makes her more relatable to a lot of women and teaches us that we are all beautiful in our own unique way.
The gothic vibe to the story made my inner- goth so incredibly happy. Love the interior of the FMC’s home and her shop, her outfits! (I could have worn those myself when I was a bit younger.) And the overall dark gothic vibe to the main characters story is just “chef’s kiss”, my kind of book.
The story is exciting, and I was constantly questioning everything. This was one big mystery I was hoping to solve, but at the end I was left with more questions instead of answers. Which brings me back to my earlier statement : “I need more!”
Woah. First I went into this blind by not refreshing myself with the synopsis and I’m so glad I did. Our FMC is every elder emos dream the docs, her shop Grimm and her esthetic. Loooved her she was super relatable and also NORMAL sized. It’s so refreshing to read a book with a character who has normal curves and life issues. Nothing fake here. I really like the mystery behind Him. His vibe is everything. Dark, mysterious and that accent ooo! Yes 🔥 then there is Luke. Hold my beer. Luke gives off dom vibes while being a Viking god. I have never needed to see a character art so badly in my life of him in leather. Swoon. 🌶️ level is about a 3.5 it’s there, it’s slow burn but oof it’s tasty. I can’t wait to see what happens next and how much red we get to see 😏
I loved this book so much! I loved that Lieshe is a curve gothic woman jo learns to embrace herself thanks to him! But wait until Luke comes! The mystery, the flash backs, the paranormal! The end still had me asking questions! I can’t wait I too book two!
Cassandra you did such an amazing job! Thank you for trusting me with reading your book!
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the read I was hoping for. The whole book felt like a set up for the next book(s) And even tho the characters where complicated and interesting I didn’t feel any chemistry.
There’s definitely potential to this story, I just wish there was more of a plot or romance in this one.
I have a hard time picturing things in my head as I read, but this book read like a movie. It flowed perfectly, and the descriptions used were so well thought out.
Lieshe may just the most relatable FMC character I’ve ever read. She’s 30, quirky, awkward, curvy, has mental health issues, and even has celiac disease (of which I don’t, but I feel like that is relatable to a lot of people!).
There are two MMCs seeking her out. Both of which have a rivalry, unknown to her. This is a gothic dark PNR that follows popular lore, and I loved every bit of it. This is going to be a three book series, and this one lays the foundation for more to come!
This book deserves six stars! Also I need the next book immediately, I need answers! I could not stop reading, this book had me hooked from the very first page.
Lieshe is a 30 year old oddities store owner looking for more happiness in her life. What she didn’t expect was to catch the attention of not only one but two handsome men! But who will win her heart?
More please!! To say I was devastated by the cliff hanger ending is an understatement!! Love…what every woman wants, but there is an ultimate battle being fought for her attention. Lieshe, Luke and McHottie are a supernatural/human love triangle like never seen before. Passion burns on all sides and the level of intensity is not for the weak at heart or easily offended. A must read!!
4.5⭐️ Cassandra Elizzabeth's debut novel, LOVE ETERNAL, captivated me from the prologue with its dark and spicy paranormal allure. The FMC, Leisha, is a uniquely relatable character, and the dynamic interplay between the two MMCs, Him, "McHottie", (who is human, but isn’t…), and Luke (I’ll let readers guess who they think he is), is expertly woven by Cassandra. The tantalizing hints through Leisha's flashbacks keep readers on the edge, eager to unravel the full backstory. Despite the complexity of multiple storylines (while not exactly storylines, more so just a lot going on), Cassandra handles it masterfully, creating anticipation for an epic culmination. LOVE ETERNAL sets a solid foundation for the series, leaving readers yearning for more without resorting to a cliffhanger. (I personally went feral over the simple, yet BOO-YAH, of a last sentence) In summary, LOVE ETERNAL is a wonderful debut, urging you all, especially paranormal romance enthusiasts, to explore its captivating world— I strongly recommend giving it a read!!!!
I got the ability to read this early as an ARC reader, which was exciting since the book blurb was pretty intriguing.
Overall, my main issue was the writing style tended to be kinda simple, more show instead of telling, I suppose. Other than that, I enjoyed the characters! There's the MC Lieshe, along with the smoking hot men chasing after her. The characters are relatable, while also having quirks that make them unique. The spice of the book is mild, I'd say, but pretty good.
There's love and passion put into this book, which is clear when you read it yourself. If there's any more books to this, I'd totally be reading them!
Spoilers…kind of. At no point in this book did I have any idea who or what was going to happen. Which was amazing!!! I love that the FMC was 30. You get to experience a beautiful journey she takes to self love and choosing herself. This was a fun book to read and you start to pick up on who the characters are as it gets deeper into the book. I can’t wait to see how this story develops and learn more about the back story. The last few lines of Lieshe’s last chapter…chef’s kiss 🤌🏼
"Love Eternal" by Cassandra Elizzabeth is a spellbinding journey into the eerie and the enchanting, where the lines between reality and fantasy blur, and the heart is caught between darkness and desire. With its atmospheric setting, unique protagonist, and a love triangle that is anything but ordinary, this novel delivers a captivating read that keeps you guessing until the very end.
Lieshe St. James is an intriguing heroine, whose life is as quirky and mysterious as the oddities in her shop, Grimm. At thirty, she is a refreshing protagonist—confident in her individuality, yet yearning for something more in her otherwise routine existence. The book's strength lies in how Elizzabeth weaves Lieshe’s everyday life with the supernatural, making the extraordinary feel almost ordinary in Lieshe's world. Her companionship with Van Helsing, the skeleton mascot, and Lucifer, her grumpy cat, adds a delightful touch of humor and warmth, making her character relatable and endearing.
The story takes a thrilling turn when two enigmatic men enter Lieshe’s life. The first, a nameless neighbor who seems eerily familiar, brings a sense of déjà vu and an unshakeable feeling of destiny. The second, Luke Devlin, is the embodiment of temptation, with his dark allure and devilish charm. Elizzabeth masterfully creates tension and intrigue as Lieshe is torn between these two mysterious figures, both of whom pull her deeper into a world she doesn’t fully understand.
The author excels at crafting an atmosphere of suspense and sensuality. The scenes are rich with gothic undertones, and the descriptions of Grimm and its macabre curiosities are vivid and immersive. The novel’s pacing is well-balanced, gradually revealing secrets and building tension as Lieshe navigates her attraction to these two men, all while the line between her waking life and her dreams becomes increasingly indistinct.
While "Love Eternal" excels in many areas, the complexity of the love triangle can, at times, feel overwhelming. Lieshe’s internal conflict is palpable, but the emotional tug-of-war between the two love interests occasionally overshadows her own journey of self-discovery. Additionally, the ending, while satisfying in its resolution, leaves a few threads dangling, making it feel slightly rushed.
However, these minor issues do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the book. Elizzabeth has created a story that is both eerie and romantic, with a heroine you can’t help but root for. The exploration of themes such as destiny, self-empowerment, and the battle between light and dark adds depth to the narrative, making it more than just a typical paranormal romance.
In conclusion, "Love Eternal" is a captivating read that will appeal to fans of gothic romance and paranormal intrigue. Lieshe’s journey is one of love, mystery, and self-discovery, set against the backdrop of a world where the strange and unusual are just part of the daily grind. With its atmospheric setting, intriguing characters, and a plot full of twists and turns, "Love Eternal" is a novel that will leave readers eagerly anticipating what Cassandra Elizzabeth has in store next.
“She is the rarest treasure, her value more precious than jewels, her worth far above rubies or pearls.”
OMFG! This story was just so freaking deliciously good! I need more! I think I devoured this one too quickly and am now sitting here wondering what to do with myself!
Lieshe is such an amazing spitfire of a woman. She instantly had me hanging on to her every word, giggling with her crazy and relatable inner dialogue and cheering on her much needed big D energy! I absolutely fell in love with her. She’s quirky, fierce, independent, witty, determined and resilient. I totally related to her, felt like we were kindred spirits and I want to be her in my next life!
When two strange but beautiful men show up into Lieshe’s life, things start to spiral out of control and her world starts to flip itself upside down! She has no idea that these two men will pull different things out of her making it hard to decide between one or the other.
McHottie and Luke are both enigmas. There are so many secrets surrounding them both that we have no idea who we should be hoping Lieshe chooses or maybe we just crave for her to choose both! Dark, mysterious, beautiful, fierce, domineering and possessive, Luke and McHottie are everything we could possibly want and crave. They both had me devouring every deliciously depraved and filthy word coming out of their mouths. They gave me full body tingles and I knew there was no way my panties were going to stay dry when either of these two men were around Lieshe! They took Lieshe’s desires to a whole new level and had me craving the darkness along with her!
“I want to sample you like you sampled that bourbon. I want to breathe your bouquet and savour your taste on my tongue.”
The imagery and world building blew me away. It was descriptive, imaginative and creative, and really brought the story to life for me. I could picture Grimm and all its oddities and wished it was an actual store I could go to.
This story was well written, with amazing characters who leave us with so many questions, and with a storyline that was filled with secrets, darkness, violence, the macabre, suspense, and edge of your seat twists and turns. I was instantly captivated, couldn’t put it down, and speechless when it was all over.
This is the life of Lieshe St. James, a 30-year-old girl with an all-round passion for the obscure. It is here that the girl combines business with pleasure, opening a shop called Grimm that offers an eclectic collection of curiosities, ranging from wet mounts to framed prints of crime scenes and death tableaus, as well as uncommon antiques, store merch, and vintage horror movie-themed items.
On any given day, she makes an encounter that will particularly mark her: a man with a magnetic appearance and a connection from the first glance. Problems start to happen after she allows herself not to think about the consequences, as she has always done, and has immediately seen the results of "acting before thinking". But the strange does not stop happening, when in her life - during a convention - she has an encounter that leads her to the 'dark side of the force', making her give less weight to her reckless actions...
I tell you, I was looking forward to reading this author's first book. Having seen the genre and themes covered, I was super excited😍 The considerations that jumped out at me I have already pointed out to the author. For example, some sentences in foreign languages inserted where appendices were not included to make the reader understand the meaning. Another thing that turned my nose up was Lieshe's flicke behaviour towards those who approach her. She did not win any points, let's say. I understand that for years she had to stay hidden because those around her didn't accept her peculiarities; but this way she makes it clear that the important thing is to be noticed and not that it doesn't matter how they treat her.
I recommend reading it both for its themes and for the mysterious figures surrounding the protagonist. Believe me: you will want to know who is hiding behind that veil of mystery🔥
I received a digital copy of this book from the PR team as part of the "Re-release Team". In exchange, they asked for an honest review.
I don't know why it took me so long to read this book, almost 3 weeks. 🤦🏽♀️ Maybe I wasn't as into it as I thought I would be. I finally finished it last night. I don't know how I feel about it, & I'm unsure on what to say. This book had it's moments where it was good, but there were some parts that were just... okay. I liked the characters individually, but as a whole I'm unsure. Maybe taking so long to read it made me forget some things 🤷🏽♀️.
Lieshe was quirky & adorable, not afraid to be herself. & yet a lot like the rest of us where we can be self conscious & unsure of ourselves sometimes. Luke reminded me of Klaus from Vampire Diaries/The Originals, but with longer hair. Very dark & vicious. I didn't care for how Lieshe was when she was with him. I understand being pulled in by the darkness, but she almost seemed compelled. & then she would stick up for him, after knowing him for only a short amount of time. & even at that, without even TRULY knowing him. She seemed a bit dumb when it came to him. She doesn't trust her "stalker" neighbor, but yet she trusts a guy who takes possession of her & does as he pleases, including breaking into her home. & she saw how he was in the club. She only met him that one time & then just seems to go with him & does what he says. I know this book is about past lives & the connection the characters have, but still... I'm unsure of who "He" reminds me of, he's a bit gentleman like & if I am using VD/Originals as inspiration, I guess it would be Elijah. Elijah was always a gentleman, but he could be dark & vicious when needed. I loved "His" connection with Lieshe. I kind of want to know what happens next & more of the back stories of the main characters, as well as the other characters that made an appearance, but I don't think I'm going to continue this series. We'll see.
As Cassandra’s debut novel, she said she wanted to write something different then she’s been reading … well, she definitely hit her mark! Love Eternal is a new take (for me anyway) on paranormal and dark romance, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As mentioned, this is book 1 of the series and that is evident in a lot of back story being laid and foundation writing. I am really looking forward to book 2 and seeing where they go from here and what happens next.
As far as the characters go, I could especially relate to Lieshe and just fell all the way in love with her. Her style, her interests, and even her inner battles. Him, I was ready to shake the shit out of because I have been rooting for him THIS WHOLE TIME and it feels like he gets in his own way. Freaking Luke, I promise I’m trying not to like him. I don’t really like him… but oh man, I like his dirty mouth, and his dominance just does things to me. Between that and the French, it’s enough to have you on board with all the bad decisions.
I appreciate the mental health rep in this book, I admired the heck out of Lieshe’s self-awareness and her growth in working towards bettering herself, for herself. I was also EXTREMELY and pleasantly surprised to read a book that had Celiac disease in it (I’m also Celiac). As much as the disease blows, it was kind of cool to read about it in a story. The bartender in me was OVER THE MOON about the drinks, including the variety, the detail and accuracy in the writing… from the bottom of my whiskey heart, thank you for that Cassandra.
Overall, well done ma’am! Congratulations on your first book into authorhood and thank you for giving us your story. I can’t wait to read book 2!
Curvy, marches to the beat of her own drum, gothic FMC. Shifter Shadow Daddy with stalker tendencies. Fire Breathing Dom Daddy who knows how to use a whip, or two!
SLOW BURN FORCED PROXIMITY STAR CROSSED SHADOWED PASTS HIDDEN IDENTITIES GRUMPY SHOP CAT NAMED LUCIFER
I freaking LOVED Lieshe so much! I really enjoyed how much her and I had in common being 30, curvy & creepy creature obsessed! She is a badass who owns and runs her own oddities and curiosities shop named Grimms. She comes from a small town filled with people with even smaller minds so her upbringing was a bit rough and boy did she blossom with the help of some amazing friends in her college years, but shes been plagued by these waking dreams since she was younger and a very vivid imaginary friend/gardian angel who has helped her out a time or two. The waking dreams are becoming more and more frequent and real the closer she becomes to the two men who have made a huge impact on her in a short amount of time that shes known them. One of them just happens to be her hot new neighbor, she doesnt know his name so she dubs him "McHottie" and boooooy is he HOT! the other is a fireball of a man named Luke and there is just something about both of them that she just cant stay away from. THE PLOT TWIST IN MCHOTTIES EPILOGUE HAD MY MIND (BOOM)! Who will she choose...does she even have to choose? Or will there be another possible out come none of us have even thought of? I can not wait to find out what Cassandra decides for these characters, this is her debut novel and I am so excited for her! This book is definitely for those who love a slow burn, but then again everyones spice levels are different so what I find a slow burn could be someone elses 4-5 chili peppers lol!
ʟօʋɛ ɛȶɛʀռǟʟ Add to your TBR if you like: -Self Love - Curvy FMC -Oddities & Unusuals -Converse, Fishnets, & Vintage Bugs -Gothic Cirque De Soilel Vibes -Flashbacks/Visions -Why Choose/Soul Mates
The Law of Attraction… attract, create, and allow. All of which our FMC is working towards in both her business and her love life. She owns an oddities shop called Grimm, and she finds herself at the center of attention of not one, but TWO sexy men, all while working her butt off. I found undertones of self discovery and finding confidence in this book. I also found the underlying message of You.Are.Enough. Let me say it louder for those in the back. YOU ARE ENOUGH. Just the way you are.
I really think a lot of readers are going to be able to relate to the FMC. We are all always our own harshest critics, and in reality, we are the only ones who see the negative view of ourselves. Reading this was a kind reminder to love myself more . Overall, this was a fantastic debut novel. It was very descriptive and there was a lot going on, but not too much that it was distracting. The author was able to write the scenes so that you felt like you were there, watching everything unfold in front of you!
There was great representation of mental health, and delicious drink descriptions! The author even uses great descriptions for characters smells- tobacco, leather, & rain!!
It is multiple POV, with some flashbacks/memories. The author did a great job of adding spice to the story. It wasn’t a lot, but the spice that was there was hot! I personally am Team Mchottie <3 and I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the next book!
🇬🇧 I was vibing with the story idea! ✨ The main character's positivity and confidence were on point! 🤍 I totally relate to her on so many levels 🫂 The protagonists' desire for her makes you feel wanted! ❤️🩹 Those spicy scenes with so much confidence and desire, damn 🥵 Luke became one of my faves ✨
This book has potential and I hope in the future to see more of the story and answer my questions... I feel like there are many open stories in this book but none ends or gives you a development, so I hope that in the next book we have more! ✨ Honestly, reading the book was a bit of a struggle; too many pages with details that felt unnecessary or just filler, not adding much to the story SRRY 🥺
🇲🇽
🫶🏼 Firstly, I huge and special thank you to the author for the arc copy and giving me the opportunity to read this early 🖤
✨Love Eternal left me speechless! I had given myself a day between finishing the book and writing my review because I didn’t know how to talk about this book and without giving spoilers 😅 I couldn’t put this book down and I finished it in a day which is a record for me. For a 300+ page book, it usually takes me at least 2-3 days to finish. But I was glued to every page!
This book was so descriptive and well written! While I usually imagine myself as the best friend of the MCs who is supervising every moment and can read their minds, I was able to imagine myself as Lieshe, the FMC. I loved her so much! She’s got gothic vibes, she’s quirky, and bit awkward especially when it comes to men. She was so relatable and had me laughing. I also loved that she was in her 30s and is curvy 🫶🏼 The MMCs 🥵😮💨 while both are equally sexy and mysterious, they are complete opposites. Luke being intense and domineering and “Him” (or “McHottie”) being chivalrous and passionate 🫠❤️🔥 Like Leishe, you’re not going to know who to choose as a favorite, especially when Gabe comes into the picture.
Absolutely add this book to your TBR if you enjoy: - dark paranormal romance - gothic vibes - Fated mates - Secret identities - Multi POV (mainly in the FMC’s) - Oddities - Slow burn with a spicy payoff - Why choose
I strongly recommend this book! It’s so unique. I’ve never read anything like it. And that ending will explode your mind and have you begging for the next book in the series like I am. I can’t wait to read what happens next and to find out more about this complex world and characters that the author has created!
This book! I’ve been writing this review and editing it because I can’t get down how much I was into this book. I’m going to start off with the FMC, Lieshe. I love everything about her, from her gothic vibe, quirkiness, how she rattled off to herself and she was someone I could see myself being friends with. I loved the fact she was a normal curvy woman and how fiery she could be. She shown growth from low self esteem which stemmed from how her parents made her feel, to accepting and realizing she was a beauty. Next is one of the MMC, who is mysterious since we only know him as “HIM” … and it’s driving me crazy as to why we don’t know his know yet. He seems obsessive and protective and also has a sweet side. And then there is 2nd MMC, Luke, who is dominating, flirty, seductive and has his sights set on Lieshe. Is he really wanting Lieshe or is he only playing games competing with “HIM”??
The author was so descriptive in her writing I felt I see and feel the story as it was playing out. Although so descriptive there is still a lot of mystery, so many questions I have unanswered. From the rivalry, funny banter between Lieshe and the MMCs, the back and forth between good vs evil, the spice 🌶️ , the angst, my feeling that they’ve all been here before but have they?? And. Then. That. Ending. WTAF?!? You can’t do this to me ! I need the next book !
📔ARC Book review 📔 This is Cassandra First book and I had the pleasure to read it yesterday and being on her street team!! She is sweet, kind and cares about her readers!! Okay onto the good part!! Tropes you will find (and love!) 💗Star-Crossed lovers 💗Found family 💗Revenge 💗Dark Secrets 💗Secret Identity 💗Forced Proximity 💗3 POV 🌶️🌶️ .5 I had the pleasure to receive it yesterday and spent the whole day reading it! I couldn’t put my phone down at all, it got a hold of me so I really couldn’t put it down! The pov of all of them was spot on! I really connected with each and every one of them! Lieshe pov was really good with everything, how she felt inside and out, how she carried herself through the whole book was good yes she had some doubts but it will change!! At the Circus chapters had me screaming and fangirling!! My cats was looking at me like I was crazy and going insane!! I love love Circus books and really haven’t found any that I liked. This one beats the cake!! The whole not knowing what up between the two males are making me be like ‘what’s going on between them? What happened In the past between them?’ Like seriously y’all need to go preorder it, read it once it’s released!!!
Unfortunately, I found Love Eternal by Cassandra Elizzabeth to be a disappointing read, deserving of only two stars. While the premise promised intrigue and romance, the execution fell short for me.
The FMC, Lieshe St. James, is quirky and relatable, but the story quickly becomes convoluted with the introduction of two mysterious men vying for her affection. The lack of clarity surrounding their identities and intentions left me feeling frustrated rather than intrigued.
Additionally, the multitude of storylines and flashbacks made the narrative feel cluttered and disjointed. While I appreciate the attempt to build anticipation for future installments, it ultimately detracted from my enjoyment of the book.
Despite these shortcomings, I acknowledge the author's skill in crafting complex characters and weaving together multiple perspectives. However, the promising foundation laid in Love Eternal was overshadowed by its overwhelming complexity and lack of cohesion.
Overall, while this book may appeal to readers who enjoy intricate plots and enigmatic characters, it failed to captivate me fully.
I received a free ARC copy of this for an honest review!
Did not enjoy.
This book had a lot of great concepts! Good ideas, it just wasn’t executed very well. I wish the author would’ve taken the time to get reviews back first from the ARC team before releasing this so that she could tweak things. Not enough background information on the male leads. I know one of them is supposed to be a mystery as to who his identity is, but we should have still been able to get some background into his story. Didn’t get background on the other male lead either. There was another guy that entered at the end and not sure of his purpose really. Bringing him in with no additional intonation for the dream scene made no sense. Also one of the tropes is “forced proximity” there is nothing forced about this. She has the option to leave and not interact with them at any point in time and same for the men. Spent too much time describing unimportant things also. I saw some people gave this 5 stars and this very well could’ve been one of those “If you get it, you get it” moments. But label me the woman that DIDNT get it. Very unfortunate because I was so excited to read this when I received the copy.
