What can I say from the personality of every character no matter how small, to the in-depth lore of the world to the everyday musings of day to day life. The story told in Trials of the serpent is one everyone should read. With the lines of good and evil somewhat blurred it forges a more real take on the fantasy genre where not everything is as cut and dry good v evil and it is this aspect of the book that shines and makes it stand out as what will surely be seen as a modern masterpiece of the fantasy genre.
I for one cannot wait for book 2
