While searching for the killer of the woman he once loved. He uncovered more secrets that will change everything he thought he knew.
This is the promise that defines us. The last promise we could ever make.
Wow! I don't know if another book in the series could be better than this one! It was fantastic! I especially live how the stories have connections like Dean's new client and what happened to Brielle and Owen. A.J.Rivers is an extremely talented storyteller. Of course Dean's story continues in this book but it is packed full of excitement and answers.
I must admit that these aren’t my favorite however it’s not because they aren’t as good as the others. I’m not sure why that is really. Just hit different I guess. But this one was a diamond in the rough. And the heart in this book was something that crept up. These are excellent books. Are there typos? Yep. Are there times when I wanted to yell due to redundancy in the stories of previous books? Yes. But you have to have it unless you are reading these the way I am. The thought of the reader is quite impressive by this author. Even if new characters pop up seaming out of place with no backstory, just hang on it’s coming. Give this entire series a chance. The stories will grab you quickly and you have to hold on.
I’m so glad to see more of Dean Steele. He is a great character and deserved his own series. It was good to finally see the mystery of the murder of Owen’s mother solved. A. J. Is a fantastic author who writes several great series. I have read them all and highly recommend them.
Private Investigator Dean Steele is searching for answers as to how his former girlfriend, Brielle, died. In the latest installment, he has been asked to look for a missing woman by a man sitting in prison. What starts out as a simple investigation leads to answers he never thought he'd get.

The Last Promise(Dean Steele Mystery Thriller Book 7)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! This book was amazing, I couldn't put it down, I read it in one day. I am happy the Dean, finally got the person that killed Brielle, it caused him a great deal of pain. I can't wait until the next book comes out.
Another Dean Steele story it’s getting a little stale
I’ve read all of Dean’s and Emma’s stories and it started to get stale. The story line is decent but not as gripping as they once were. This one seemed a bit predictable and the ending seemed rushed to meet a page count. Decent but not my favorite.
I think this was the best one yet. I wavered between 4&5. In explanation as to why I chose 4, I've only given 5's to books like The Women, This Tender Land, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet etc. I just cannot include a quick mystery ,as much as I enjoyed it. Therefore, it got top marks for a good book, that isn't really great literature, just a great story
This is such a good read. I have loved every Dean Steele book but this one is by far my favorite. I was so exotic finish this and finally get the killing of Brielle solved that I could hardly put this book down. So glad everything worked out the way it did and I'm looking forward to book 8.
This book wraps up all the loose ends of what happened to Brielle. The plot shifts from her perspective & Dean’s throughout the book. There are lots of surprises and twists to the plot. I’m happy with how the book ends and look forward to the next one in this series.
Finely he finds out the truth about his first love. The twist and turns in this one kept me reading till the end. You must read in order otherwise you would be lost as to what was going on.
In another issue I have would be the spell check needs to do a better job.
OMG. This is the best Dean Steele book I have read so far. I could not put this book down. The suspense and intrigue keeps you reading. I loved this book. Even the ending was great.. I highly recommend this book and series.
I could not put this book down. What an amazing and heartbreaking story. My heart hurt for Dean, Owen and Colleen. The strength and love that Brielle had for them had me in tears. Thank you for your incredible writing.
Finally a conclusion and I don't have to read book for more of the saga. However, now I can read more just for the sake of enjoying. A very nice ending but only after a riviting journey.
This book was a great wrap-up of the series storyline so far. So much changed from book 1 to book 7: new people, new places, and plenty of surprises. Now I'm ready to see where things go from here.
There are a lot of left turns in this one for explanation of what’s going on, each one more mind-boggling than the one before it. Dean keeps pushing through until he gets his answers. This time, he got a bonus. Sure hope he figures out his blackouts.
With a number of investigations going on Dean is extremely busy. He finds a missing women and gets the information needed to take Alexander down. There were a number of interesting things going on to keep X busy.
Dean is really put through the ringer in this situation but grows closer to his newfound son as a result of the tragedy and tribulations. Great reading, hard to Put it down!
This story is one of your best! Having lost my mom (though she was not murdered!), I understand the feelings that you portrayed so well. I am looking forward to the next story with Dean and company! Thanks again for a GREAT read!
Wow! One page turner of a book! Dean fidgets hired to find a prison inmate to find his girlfriend with the promise of giving Dean information about who killed Brielle.
