David Andersen doesn't have a problem indulging in Valentine's Day, per se, but not on a first date. Considering it was the love fest of the year, he didn't want a woman to get any ideas that a wedding ring was forthcoming before he got a chance to know her. So he has no choice but to wait until the whole Valentine's Day hoopla was over, then he would make his move on a sister in his church he can't take his eyes off of. For the past two years and counting, Valerie Hart hasn't been the recipient of a romantic Valentine's Day dinner invitation. To fill the void, Valerie keeps herself busy with God's business, hoping the Lord will send her perfect mate soon. Unfortunately, with no prospects in sight, it looks like that won't happen again this year. A WOMAN AFTER DAVID'S HEART is a Valentine romance novella that can be enjoyed with or without a box of chocolates.

I loved this book but it seems I read the Andersen books out of series. I would definitely recommend
this book. David admired Valerie from afar as they belonged to the same church. He was not going to approach her because of past failed relationships which took place on Valentine's Day. Valerie felt unlucky at love but desperately ask God to bless her with a Godly man. A chance meeting on Valentine's Day changes both of their lives.
What a Love story, I couldn't put the book down. I Love reading a good love story especially when God is the main center of it all, the Lord always knows what's best for us. Mrs. Pat Simmons the Lord gave you Blessed hands to keep creating the best. 😊 Waiting to read your next Book!!! 😉
I enjoyed "Valerie and David's " story. Similar to the author's other words of wisdom, I am inspired by the Word of God and the message shared! Keep writing and spreading the Gospel!
I liked this novella for a quick read but the ending left much to be desired. I was like the book was going along and then the epilogue. The story never played out to the end so what was the point of the epilogue. I would have been much better to have a clear ending to the romance between David and Valarie. The build up was sweet and it was good to read about men of God who loved each other and their family. Every woman wants to meet a Christian, David or Nathan. God-fearing, successful, loving, respectful black men. The way David treated Valarie was just purely romantic and he was respectful to the elder women. I think the way Valarie reacted to his explanation about the valentine 's day issue was truly childish and it didn't really flow with the tone of the book. I was almost like creating some drama just for the sake of doing it but it served no purpose in the storyline for the two characters who otherwise were mature adults. Other than the ending the left much to be desired this was on ok read.
This was a good book. It even included Christian and Joy from a previous book. David sees Valerie and wants to go out with her. He plans to wait until after Valentine's day due to previous mishaps. Valerie is looking for a good Christian man. She can't believe David wants her.
Sometimes we are so busy telling God our plans we almost miss what he has planned for us. Valerie almost missed her chance with David. Thank God prayer change things! Another good series by another great author! Off to read book three!
Love on Valentine's day;sounds like a cliché. Well reading this book will give you a new perspective on an old cliché. The love of God and the love of a good man will make everyday 2/14!
