This was a book with emotions, with past situations, and an ending that was definitely not what I expected!
Very good and deserves all five stars.

I absolutely loved Redbird In The Poppies by Angela Geer-Gann. I totally wasn't expecting it to go the way this story went.
This book had a bit of everything, suspense, psychological issues, romance and certainly the unknowing. I not for once could see or sense how things would end up for Elizabeth, the ending was not what I was thinking it would be. An absolutely brilliant thrilling, must read book. Definitely 5⭐️

An engaging coming of age story of a young girl emerging from a troubled childhood and dysfunctional early relationships, journey towards seemingly true love. A whirlwind fairytale relationship in adulthood forced choices between true friendship and a magical experience of destiny in which finding oneself and healing ensues.

A compelling story of a girl, Elizabeth, who has to rise above the dysfunctional family she grew up in. The story carries the reader through Elizabeth’s relationships with various characters in the book. A heartfelt story

So much to say about this book. It’s a timeline of a young girls journey from childhood to adulthood. I found the book to be quite disjointed, however. So many pieces were not plausible and outlandish. The book caught me from the beginning but it got slow and repetitive.

After the heart-wrenching loss of her elder brother, Elizabeth Redbird's passage from adolescence to young adulthood unfolds as a compelling story of resilience and evolution in the face of a disintegrating family foundation. Possessing an innate wish to bring joy to those around her, Elizabeth wrestles with the intricate tapestry of life. This eventually leads her to the realm of higher education, a stepping stone to a gratifying career and a close-knit circle of confidantes. Yet, the ghosts of her past loom large, often holding her back from committing deeply to romantic endeavors. As fate would have it, Elizabeth's trajectory undergoes a delightful shift when she encounters a captivating gentleman with whom she shares more parallels than initially evident.

Angela Geer-Gann's Redbird in the Poppies eloquently chronicles Elizabeth's path of addressing deep-seated family wounds and rediscovering love. The narrative gracefully weaves through Elizabeth's tumultuous teen years, shedding light on the intricate family ties that bind her. Advancing to her later years, Geer-Gann tenderly portrays Elizabeth's journey toward healing and self-revelation.

While the novel predominantly succeeds in holding the reader's attention, there are moments where I feel the articulation could benefit from added finesse. Dialogues sometimes veer towards the realm of the implausible, briefly detracting from the otherwise adept character development. However, the heart of the story remains strong, offering candid insights into the depths of its characters.

Redbird in the Poppies promises an engrossing read and an emotional voyage long after turning the last page.

Elizabeth was thrown lemons and chose to make lemonade. Follow her emotional journey from a dysfunctional family in the Midwest to becoming a successful producer in California. When she meets the love of her life, what path will she choose? I like her spunky, no nonsense attitude and pride in her accomplishments. The story is a different take on boy meets girl, with two men involved with her. The ending was a surprise. Although I expected a different outcome, it was a satisfying conclusion. Overall, an emotional heartwarming book well worth reading.
