Rate this book
This is a practical, incisive, and very readable book. Presented in a light and original style, its principles have been tested through decades of experience. It offers all the resources and examples needed to put them into practice without all the fluff that often inflates books in the organizational development genre. The focus of this book, the 4e² method, is a tool for communication that is easy to memorize and apply. It helps leaders delegate tasks in a way that generates results and eliminates frustration. It was developed as a model for effective communication within the business world, but it can be applied in nearly every from government to education, sports to family, military to NGOs, and mom-and-pop shops to global corporations. In short, if you're looking for something practical, useful, and entertaining, so that you can grow as a person and as a leader, then this book is for you.

I learned a lot by reading 4e2 Exponential Communication: The simple and practical formula to delegate effectively. Much more than I had expected and much more quickly as well...Including leet speak! :)

Hector Alberto Martínez is an engaging writer and knows what he’s talking about too. The book is refreshing as well as very easy to read and digest. Also the gentle use of leetspeak sprinkled throughout the book was just one of the clever and humorous ways the author makes his point on improving communication.

I really appreciated how Martinez offers the main pillars and points of the book in the first few pages and invites you to simply stop there or, read further to dive deeper into each of the “four e’s squared”.

Take my word for it, you’ll want to read further.

It's peppered with great insights and observations like this quote which is so very true:

“What people hear is way more important than what you say- and the two are often not the same thing."

Also, the stories used to reinforce some of the concepts were not the usual rehashed retreads like so many other business oriented books but all new to me. That was also a refreshing aspect of this title.

Bottom line, 4e2 is a fast and fun read and I’m better off having read it and adding it to my library. In fact, it offers enough value that it has become the 14th book added to my Goodreads List of Steve’s Favorites Business and Leadership Books

* Leetspeak Translation: This is a really insightful and fun book to read and utilize.

Disclosure – I was gifted the book with no expectation of a review but it was so good I had to write one to share and encourage you to read it as well.
