I read this book as a Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.
The inner child in me enjoyed reading this book as it had reminded me of when I had been a child going to school and having teachers who I totally didn’t like. For some reason they appeared to be totally different from my parents and therefore had been horrible for a variety of reasons no one would believe. Did you have any teachers like this when you went to school as a child?
If you did, then you can relate to why Herbert Fidget felt his teachers were actually monsters in disguise. Any child would enjoy reading about the monster teachers he had going to school because they know in reality how humorous this actually is. Including illustrations [drawn by the author] which Herbert draws for each of his teachers, depicting how his teachers appear to look being normal, and as the monsters they actually are; adds in making the story more vivid in the minds of its perceptive young readers.
For allowing my inner child to remember when I had gone to school as a child, and for giving its young readers something they can laugh about as the read this book, I’ve given Mr. Mitchell 5 STARS for his endeavor here.
NOTE: The author uses British terminology and spelling of words in this book.

Such a fun read—it really reminded me of the whimsical, mischievous charm of Roald Dahl’s books. I especially loved the children in the story, and even more so the outrageous “monster” teachers—some of them were truly horrid in the most entertaining way! It’s packed with humor and personality, and I’d absolutely love to see a sequel.
