This was a good story. The one thing I can say about this author is that he knows how to build the character into his/her change. My gripes are the errors of the story and the seemingly circles we kept going in. I feel like the whole Tasha situation could’ve been knocked down a couple notches. If you don’t want to mess someone you don’t answer every-time they ask you to do something. “Can you help me with the boxes” no ask someone else. Open the door while you’re in the bathroom. No keep it locked.. etc etc… Then we didn’t get a conclusion on her character. It was like she didn’t exist anymore. Did she end up getting married? Was she still stalking Bobby at church? Did she still go to church?I was annoyed with Charlene at first as well but then I had to put myself in her shoes and realize how scary it is to leave someone like klan. The errors were a disappointment as well.
Overall this was a good story but I’m glad it’s over. It took me a while to finish this one due to my irritation with the characters.
the beautiful thing about this story is the optimism with which both Nephew and Charlene embrace the challenge of trying to love each other. neither has a past that suggests anything but hardship ahead, a yet the both go for it, full steam.
