i don’t know guys, this book was a solid meh for me. I enjoyed it enough to finish it (also the impending doom feeling of not finishing an arc is enough for me to finish it lol) but i got some problems with it😭
take this with a grain of salt because i think i’m just in the mood for something SOUL SHATTERING and that’s not what you’ll be getting here.
also just to inform: i’m not a hater😎 (until i am) this is not a slandering review.
I’ve read a lot of ice hockey romances the past few years so it’s quite difficult to either do something new or wow the audience because the genre is so oversaturated.
Sadly this book didn’t do anything new. A book doesn’t have to do something new but because it felt like any other ice hockey book it fell flat.
I missed some depth to the characters, there was a lot of telling and no showing. They were easy to keep separate though!
I’m a big believer in the fact that if you’re writing a RH romance you aren’t just writing 1 love story. You’re writing multiple. I missed certain dynamics in this book. Yeah they ended up together, but how do they all feel about it? How’s the relationship between all of them separately? This book already felt miles too long so I don’t know if i really want more page time, but it would do wonders to actually fully fleshing out a person and the relationship dynamics.
the whole conflict in this book was also dumb af😭✋🏼 im sorry but it was so overdone. The brother being the main reason why 4 fully adult people couldn’t have their love story shouldn’t be the main reason of conflict in a 400 paged book✋🏼😭 the brother was also really unlikeable so i couldn’t even root for his side of the story.

curvy gurl rep! and without making it about her “weight loss journey” or “im so fat, gimme some love🥹” or “im so fat nobody likes me except for the 3 enormous hockey dudes omg how will they ever love me”. It felt refreshing to just have a character be curvy and be done with it yk😭
the relationship between 2 of the guys! like i said above i would’ve loved more insight in ANY relationship because ugh i need more of these 2. but i’m glad they got some page time! (was it during a very inconvenient moment? for sure)
the writing was solid. lots of pop culture references so stay away if you don’t like that lol.
is it a good filler book to read in between? yeah, i would say so. there are better books in this genre tho.
it’s just nothing special, and if you’re picking a book to just have a good time and turn of your brain and finish this in one sitting, this’ll be the perfect book for you.

This was my first why choose hockey romance and overall it was good! Everything was pretty fast paced so I had a harder time connecting to the characters which made me give this 3 stars instead of 4 stars. When I say fast paced, it may have been because there were 4 POVs. Spice didn't happen until halfway through. The angst and how much the guys were fighting their attraction was pretty fun to read!
Charlotte has hit rock bottom. She walked in on her BF of 2 years cheating on her with another man, and his reaction was to kick her out. Now she finds herself at her brother's apartment. The one he shares with his 3 teammates that are supposed to be out of town. But then they walk in on her naked and things change significantly. After some hemming and hawing, everyone agrees that Charlotte can stay and no one is going to tell Harrison. Jace also sets a rule that no one can hook up with Charlotte. She is off limits. But as the week goes on Mateo and Roman and Jace all have a hard time remembering why that rule was set in place. Charlotte is awesome. She thinks about them and does sweet gestures for them to thank them for letting her stay. In turn, they start to help her with things. After getting fired, they encourage her to start her dream of a lingerie company. Jace is worst of all. We find out that he has been harboring a crush since forever but has decided to be a jerk so his true feelings will never come out. But now time is up. Their hockey is on the ice (LOL). They can't stop thinking about her. Each of them have had a moment with her and now they ask her to decide. Who does she want? When her answer is all 3 everyone's lives change? Now they are on the other side of a night none of them will ever forget when Harrison walks in the door. He is understandably livid. He doesn't know who to trust and this is all happening right before hockey playoffs. Charlotte does what she thinks is best but realizes she needs to talk things through with Harrison. And ultimately the decision to be with her men is HERS.
The quarrel if you will with this one was what would happen if Harrison found out. He knew something was going on but not what it was. I really didn't agree with his response to it. The way he was talking about his sister also affected my rating. Give yourself a minute, but don't say things you can't take back. I do wonder if this is going to be a series. There was some major tension going on between Harrison and Charlotte's BF.

I am back and catching up with a ton of arcs that I have due, let's start with this smut filled read.
It was okay. Was it the romance of the century? No. Was it entertaining? Yes.
Charlie (MFC) is getting out of a bad relationship and needs a place to live asap, which leads her to her brother's teammates flat. Whatever you imagine happens next, that's what will be happening.
Nevertheless, I do recommend it as a ✨palate cleanser✨, I have not read anything in over a month and this made it so easy to get back to reading.
Give it a try and add it to your TBR!

Okay, this was a great MMFM, why choose, hockey romance. 𝙈𝙮 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 was simultaneously sweet & spicy. The spice was really spicing, friends 👏🏼 Zero complaints. This book was so much fun. I loved the 4 MC’s, and I could really feel the special bond they shared with one another. Mateo + Roman with that book scene absolutely melted my heart 🥹 Honestly those two were melting my heart pretty much the entirety of the book. Jace was also impossible not to love. The man was feral and completely gone for the FMC. Such a good read! If you are a fan of Pucking Around then you will adore this book!
Now please tell me Harrison is getting a book?! I need more 😍

Can I just say I ate this book up and actually really liked it! I love how the authors did such a great job with giving each character their own personality and growth as well as some background for them! I really liked how throughout the book Charlotte really grew into her confidence and because such a strong person who overcomes her insecurity and doesn’t let it rule her life. Jace was definitely my favorite even though he annoyed the heck out of me in the beginning 🫠 her brother was an idiot and genuinely did not understand why these 4 adults were scared to talk to him and tell him the truth. Truly could’ve been solved pretty quickly.

dnf at 164 pages. i’m sorry. i wanted to love this. why choose with bi rep and a curvy fmc??? absolutely catnip for me. but this book is just…not what it could be.
the main conflict is so dumb that it’s just so hard to move past. and it’s the only thing anyone in this book is ever thinking about (except sex) so you can’t even put it out of your mind until the next plot point.
the conflict of this story is that these guys are her brother’s best friends. and charlotte spends the entire book (or the entire half i read) whining about how “she just has to tell another lie” in order to make it through.
why??? i hate when books provide easily solvable problems and then make their characters do all of these gymnastics to explain why “this objectively terrible solution is her ONLY option.”
early in the book, she basically says “i could ask my brother for money to help myself out of this problem, but i don’t want to because i don’t want his pity or his money.” which i guess is to set up that she’s independent or whatever, but that concept is immediately destroyed by the fact that the rest of the book relies on her asking all her brothers friends for help instead. how does that make her more independent??
and she (and the other guys) all choose to lie to him about it. even when given multiple opportunities to come clean, they’re all still like “hmm the guilt is terrible, we’re all treating him really poorly by lying to him, but there’s no other way.” what do you mean??? how is there no other way??
and sure, no one wants to have to ask their family “hey can i please borrow a sizable chunk of money from you to facilitate moving into a new place after a breakup?” i get it. that’s not a fun conversation to have. but at the same time, there’s so much emphasis in this book put on how much her brother values trust and hates lies and whatever that asking him to borrow some money seems like the thing he would prefer instead of being lied to by his sister and his best friends.
so unfortunately, the plot makes no sense, and by virtue of the nature of the plot, it already makes me angry at all of the characters because of the way they’re choosing to treat their “best friend.” it’s really disappointing because i was hoping that would get resolved faster and that there would be more fun as we get to see the relationship build out and get stronger. but i can’t even enjoy the parts of charlotte and the guys, because every ten seconds, one of them is thinking “this is bad, we shouldn’t be doing this to harrison, we should tell him, this sucks, man i wish we didn’t have to lie, but i just want her so bad.” and it’s just so repetitive and boring.

The MMCs are quite different - Jace seems to be always grumpy, Roman is a cool guy and Mateo never fails to make you laugh. But they also struggle with themselves as well as with their emotions. And last but not least you have the big brother Harrison - sometimes it was a little bit too much of him, but it does not disturb the story. And finally you have 4 hot as hell hockey hunks.
So if you love a really spicy why choose with an also good MM lovestory, grab this book and look for a quiet place - because this story is NSFW.

If I didn't have to adult I would have devoured this book in one day.
The story follows Charlotte, who loses her boyfriend and apartment all in the same day so ends up going to her brother's spare apartment as a last resort, foolproof plan right? She didn't expect his three hockey playing teammates/friends to walk in on her completely naked!

this was GOOD!! it had all my favorite things: hockey, drama, a girl with 3 boyfriends (she deserved)
charlie, mateo, jace, & roman fit really well together! they all had such different personalities and were able to mesh into a cute lil family <3

Basically, I loved this. The instant chemistry between Roman, Mateo, and Charlie was amazing. The sexual tension between Jace and Charlie was perfect... it bi-awakening between Roman and Mateo was 🔥. They were used to sharing girls. It's something they had experienced before, but Charlie brought something else.... there was no denying what was between them, but the main issue is Harrison, Charlie's brother... what happens when he walks in unannounced when Charlie is modelling her newest creation.? This is my first book, by either of these authors so I wasn't sure what to expect but good lord I was not disappointed in the least!! I absolutely loved this book, I don't read a lot of why choose romance but this one, was so good. I loved the Charlotte and the guys, the relationship between the four of them and the relationship that sparked between Mateo and Roman, I loved it all. Although Harrison (Charlottes brother) really does need to calm down, I get being protective of your sister, but Megan is right keep that douchy behaviour out the door lol It was a great balance of story and spice, I will definitely be putting this at the top of my to recommend list when it comes to hockey romances <3

I hope the authors decide to continue the series. I am crossing my fingers at a possible book 2 about Megan and Harrison, maybe a second chance/sister’s best friend/grumpy-sunshine read. 🤞🏼

This was a spicy RH hockey romance. The spice pretty much starts right away. If you're looking for a book with spice and a good plot this may not be the one for you. This books weak, basically non existent plot. But if you want SPICE than this is your BABY!! I actually didn't understand the big deal surrounding not telling Charlotte's brother. I think it was blown way out of proportion but anyways. This book could have been better if the plot was better. But the spice made up for it.
This is a minor thing and I almost didn't mention it but the FMC slightly got on my nerves I felt like she cried A LOT and she appread super vulnerable and weak all the time. That got on my nerves but I think it was more of a personal preference that I don't like when FMC are portrayed that way especially after a breakup. I just wanted her to have her comeback moment and not be crying on the floor all the time.

i am a sucker for a hockey romance so this did not disappoint. it was also my first time reading a book that explores a polyamorous relationship and it was so intriguing. this book was something different than i have ever read as i usually find the romance as the side plot to the hockey but this book had major emphasis on the romance over the hockey. it was such a fast paced book and i was hooked all of the way through. if you want a spicy hockey romance then i would highly recommend.

The way that I DEVOURED this book! The perfect ratio of plot and spice it was hard not to fall for all of the men. Character depth was there, and boy so was the spice 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️
Banter 10/10 with each man bringing something different (and needed) to the table.

Okay so this was such a great read , my only issue is I wish it were deeper , I needed more , more background stories of why everyone was the way they were , why they loved hockey so much more about their family dynamics it just needed more. So I give this a 3.76. Almost a 4 , right there but not quite but I binged this so it was really good still at the end of the day .

This book is a whole lot of fun. Mateo, Roman and Jace are a whole lot of trouble but in a good way. I really enjoyed this book and spent a day reading it as I didn’t want to put it down. The bulk of the story is around the relationship and the secret they keep from Harrison. I am not sure why they did this for so long ? The dynamics within the four are interesting especially with the bi- awakening between two characters. Part of me would have like Jace and Charlie together due to their history but it still packs a great HEA.
It’s plenty spicy and funny at times and was a really enjoyable read.

This was a fun read! There were several POV’s which was a bit confusing but not a bad thing necessarily, just took some getting used to. The spice didn’t happen until about midway through, but the characters were a lot of fun to read about, because you can’t go wrong with hockey anyways 😂 Loved the strong FMC too!

I was blown away by this book! When I saw the cover I thought "that looks very interesting and fun" and it not only met my expectations it was much much better!! I could not put it down! Obsessed is an understatement, I needed to know more!! but when I was close to the end, I didn't want it to be over...
The way the characters are presented and how the story develops makes everything very realistic, I mean, there are three hockey players 😅 but still, the story is very believable, sweet, and hot!!
All the spicy scenes did not disappoint!! I could not get enough of the interactions, not just because they were sexy as hell but because they were incredibly romantic, they had me melting more than once.
Charlie stole my heart, her character is so nice and relatable, the fear of living up to everyone's expectations is so real... and when she found not one, but three persons ready to stand in her corner... romance overload!!
All the main characters are amazing and unique in their own way!! And there is representation in almost every single page! ♡ This book is unbelievable! Definitely a new favorite ☆

Quedé impactada con este libro! Cuando vi la portada pensé "se ve muy interesante y divertido" y no sólo cumplió con mis expectativas sino que fue mucho, mucho mejor!! No podía dejarlo! Obsesionada es quedarme corta, necesitaba saber más! pero cuando estaba cerca del final no quería que terminara...
La forma en que se presentan los personajes y cómo se desarrolla la historia hace que todo sea muy realista, digo, hay tres jugadores de hockey 😅, ¡pero aún así la historia es muy creíble, tierna y apasionada!
Todas las escenas sexys no decepcionaron!! No solo porque eran tremendamente sensuales sino porque además eran súper románticas, me derritieron más de una vez.
Charlie me robó el corazón, su personaje es hermoso e identificable, el miedo de estar a la altura de las expectativas de todos es tan real... y cuando encontró no una, sino tres personas listas para apoyala... morí de amor!!
Todos los personajes principales son increíbles y únicos a su manera!! Y hay representación en casi todas las páginas! ♡ ¡Este libro es maravilloso! Definitivamente uno nuevo que agregar a la lista de favoritos ☆
