Riding the Sugar High

Rate this book
Riding high on love makes life as sweet as sugar.

Primrose Bellevue is many things-a candy maker, an influencer, and a pink-loving, confident woman. She isn't, however, a criminal.

That is, until she commits the stupidest crime in history.

After her very public break-up and her sudden fame as a stalker, she has no choice but to escape the scene of the crime. By some stroke of luck, the grumpy, arrogant farmer who witnessed it all just so happens to be desperate for an alibi of his own.

But lacking a stable connection out in the sticks might not be the worst part of bunking with her fake boyfriend. When Logan makes it his goal to check every item off her love wishlist, the bitter remarks between them turn into sweeter-than-sugar smiles.

And the hardest part might just be leaving him behind.

***

Logan Coleman isn't many things-a cowboy, a people person, or someone looking for a roommate. He is, however, unable to escape the pink-haired nightmare that keeps popping up everywhere he goes.

Of course she'd turn out to be his only ticket out of jail.

With his farm on the brink of failure and his mental health in shambles, he has a whole list of reasons not to want a real-life Barbie to break through all his carefully crafted barriers. But when being around her starts to feel more like a reward and less like a punishment, he knows letting her in will be worth it.

Even if it means Primrose will be the one to take him down.

Riding the Sugar High is a steamy, emotional, laugh-out-loud story about love, acceptance, and vegan treats. It features two opposites who, brought together by fate, choose to stick together even when it's the hardest path to follow.

i’ll read everything this woman publishes and continue to do it. i liked logan’s and primrose’s story. i loved their personalities because their individuality was evident. their characters and passions, even. however, it hurts me to say this but i didn’t connect with them as a couple. it felt rushed. it didn’t hit the emotions and it makes me a bit sad. i tried not to compare them to amelieian, they’re way different, but loprim’s story was… a bit bland. i never feel sad or in love with them. the twist was… i don’t know. meh. i like them but that’s it.

soooo that epilogue was awesome!!! shane and ian having saturday nights? hilarious. amelie being successful as a private chef? awesome, my baby. that’s my star.

4 stars. hoping for the next release.

First, I am so so so grateful to Letizia and ReadsTooMuch PR for allowing me to read an e-arc of this book. I loved the first two books in this series SO much so it makes me so sad that I didn’t love this one.

Straight from the get-go, I thought this plot was WEIRD. Prim driving all the way to see her ex-boyfriend (of like a week and that she had only met in person once, but she thought he was the love of her life?) in order to get back a piece of paper with her “love bucket list” written on it. That literally had things like “he gives me his crayons” on it….

Then, even though she has never smoked a day in her life, or even thought about smoking, she all of a sudden decides to light up a cigarette while on her ex’s porch and somehow drops the cigarette and catches his porch on fire…..

Even though, we already had a strange meet cute where Prim literally rear ends Logan on his bike and then he kisses her in the middle of a panic attack (and I don’t think we ever really found out why he was having panic attacks all of a sudden?) they meet again because he is stealing Pigs from the same land that Prim just caught on fire with her cigarette….

and this causes them to have to fake date to not go to prison? Just weird, okay.

Other things through out this that I did not like…..

•Prim’s lack of self esteem. She said she loves her self and her body but then in the same paragraph, she doesn’t see how any guy could ever love her because of her weight. And I get, her ex was a piece of shit with the way he talked to her, but this should have been something she overcame by herself and not because a guy said so. Which to be honest, I don’t think she overcame it during the book at all. Even at the end she was freaking out about not getting to fix her make up before seeing him again.

•the nickname, Backpack. Absolutely not. This is so cringey. I rolled my eyes every time he called her that. Especially the spicy scenes…. “If I fuck my backpack on my bike, I’m not sharing it. You’re mine.” I would’ve smack him.

•all they did was fight but yet they fell in love in less than 2 weeks?

•6 days into them fake dating and her having to live with him, she is making a mess of his house, doesn’t clean up after herself, takes his clothes and wears them without asking, and gives him the silent treatment because he didn’t tell her that he was trying to sell his farm? Like who do you think you are princess?

•the storyline of his brother Aaron and Josie, was just so strange.

I wanted to DNF this so badly because of how much I loved DFSP and TWM, so I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but this was just not the book for me unfortunately. I just wanted it to be over so I found myself skimming it.

well, dnf'ing a Letizia Lorini book definitely wasn't on my 2024 bucket list, but here we are anyway.

Desserts for Stressed People and The Wedding Menu were some of my favorite romances of last year. They were both unbelievably swoony, explored complicated relationship dynamics, and really fucking hot. But then this. What happened, Letizia? What a mess!

Our FMC is a fat candy influencer. Contemporary romances with influencer characters are undeniably one of the great horrors of our generation. It gives me hives. But for LL, I was willing to look past it. I don't love this specific profession for plus sized rep either, but I get it. Fat women are allowed to enjoy sweets and all that. There's a point in there somewhere. I happen to be of the opinion that taking care of your body and being healthy is a better form of self love than accepting an unhealthy body as is, and that enjoying candy and being a healthy weight are not mutually exclusive concepts, but I digress. It's fiction and my opinion doesn't really matter just. I wouldn't follow her, y'know?

And our MMC is a vegan farmer, which is kind of okay but also rubs me the wrong way a bit ideologically because it seems to imply that non-vegan (read: normal) farmers are inherently cruel, which as a little hobby farmer (with a small garden and a couple of chickens) is very eyeroll-inducing. I could get on board with a no-kill farmer perhaps, but housing chickens without using their eggs for anything, cows without using their milk, sheep without using their wool, etc. is honestly wasteful and even borders on ignorant imho. The evolution of humans and domesticated animals together over thousands of years in symbiotic, mutually beneficial harmony and all that. But again, fiction, my opinion on this doesn't really matter, yadda yadda. Sure, go ahead and be a "vegan farmer". What really bothers me about him is that he took over the farm that his parents painstakingly built from the ground up, that means the world to his family, and then (dogmatically) cut out the main sources of profit (meat, eggs, dairy), added no other income streams (tried to just sell produce), and slowly ran the thing into the ground to push his flawed ideals. He's just a bad businessman that I feel very little sympathy for, because it is 1000% his fault and the outcome of his choices was obvious. He turned a thriving business into an unfunded animal shelter and then was shocked and heartbroken when it failed. He honestly should've gotten the place registered as a nonprofit as soon as he took over and put efforts into fundraising and grant writing, maybe some tourism. Turn the place into a petting zoo or something. It's wildly expensive to keep horses and cows and sheep and pigs and chickens. Selling apples was never, at any point, going to offset the costs. He's literally just dumb and a little pathetic. I hate it.

Then there's the instalove. Now, I'm not inherently an instalove hater. I know what I'm getting into when I read a cute little romcom with fake dating and forced proximity, and I'm happy enough to suspend my disbelief. But not only does this entire book take place in 19 days, they make out heavily before they even know each other's names (despite her being almost a virgin? this is apparently something she is entirely comfortable with?) and by literally the next day, he is giving "touch her and die" vibes. But also they don't like each other or something. It's all over the place and it's cringey and juvenile.

I'm tired of grumpy men, and Logan was the worst kind. Rude and callous for no reason, but it's supposed to be not only forgivable but actually swoony because like, he's hard for her thick thighs privately in his own mind or something. She just can't help but fall for him even though he's mean, because his hooded, stormy gray eyes ooze sex or whatever. Spare me. I'm not the expert on fat rep, but is this really what plus sized women want? A dude in perfect physical shape who seems to just literally not even notice that they're overweight? She says "but what about my stomach rolls" and he goes "wdym oh I literally didn't see that, I was too busy staring at your fat tits"? Can he not just actually find heavier women attractive? He has to constantly be confused when she brings up body insecurities or other people's negative reactions to her because in his mind she's so teeny weeny? idk. It just kind of reads like a sad fantasy.

I won't even get started on the trouble with the law plot that acts as the reason they need to fake date, but rest assured it's ridiculous and implausible and giving secondhand embarrassment for both of them. Skimmed for the smut and they keep calling each other "Barbie" and "cowboy" which I could not hate more. This whole entire thing was just not for me.

WHY WAS THIS EVERYTHING I NEEDED?!?

💜 small town
💜 grumpy x sunshine
💜 meet cute
💜 yeehaw

Roommates to lovers is actually a trope I haven’t read much. It’s not really my favorite but it worked here because they became roommates as part of their fake dating scheme. Logan goes through some I really cannot believe I’m attracted to the complete opposite to me life crisis. Like he does not own a phone and she’s an influencer 💀 But opposites attract for a reason, their core values are the same. I found it so cute that he’s a vegan farmer and she’s a dietary friendly candy maker. Candy making was such a cool profession for an FMC, first time I’ve read it! I also love the curvy rep Primrose made excellent points and gave very real experiences. The anxiety rep was great too. Finally the smut was top tier. I loved seeing Logan and Primrose grow individually and together. But my favorite characters were Paco and Lola, they’re my emotional support piglets.

I just finished this book 2 days ago but I already want to reread. My new favorite Letizia Lorini book!

✨ARC REVIEW✨

YUP. Letizia HAS DONE IT AGAIN LADIES AND GENTS.

Obsessed. I am obsessed with these two and this story.

I had a really fun time reading this book. I mean we literally have such an amazing storyline and characters that it just can't get any better.

We literally have a grumpy, hot, brooding, motorcycle driving, rough and tough alpha-hole, who will do anything for the girl who suddenly enters his life.

We then have a fun and cute, curvy badass city girl, who's about to show this country boy what he's missing.

I mean...it cannot get better.

Primrose is a wonderfully written FMC and I absolutely love how Letizia brought her to life. I've read other "city girls go to the country and have their The Simple Life" moment and they just don't hold a candle to this book. Primrose is an influencer but I really love the spin of her being a candy maker and not just a basic "here's a day in my life" influencer. It's different - it's unique. I loved it.

This was the one book with a curvy FMC where her thoughts have been my exact thoughts. And it wasn't overdone.

Normally people can't stand when the curvy girl is always saying she's curvy and making it a thing...guess what? Those people have probably never STRUGGLED in their life with their weight and have had people comment on it and make them feel bad. They've probably never had people who they are interested in judge them for it and make them feel even shittier than they already do.

I really understood and connected with Primrose on another level because of this. Yeah, we might love ourselves but it doesn't mean those thoughts are constantly on our minds. I absolutely loved this representation and how well it was written. Oh, is it annoying to read about every couple chapters? Try living like that...

Sorry, I digress. It was beautiful and real and so I thank you Letizia.

I just really loved Primrose's character and how she was the pink in Logan's dark world.

Logan is A MAN AND I WANT THIS MAN. He's just this primal, I want what I want kinda man and he was just doing something for me. He's gruff and handsome and large and just...damn. Where can I find me one like him? He's got this rough exterior but man is he a softie. He's got such a beautiful heart and I hate that his light was once dimmed.

I loved their banter. I giggled so damn much. I was genuinely eating these two up. They just had such beautiful chemistry. When they laughed, I laughed. When they were sad, I was sad. When they were fighting, I wanted in on it! Of course, that's also Letizia writing them beautifully.

No spoilers here BUT WHEN I CONNECTED THE DOTS, MY HEART JUMPED AND I GASPED SO LOUD. OH I JUST WAS FEELING ALL THE DAMN FEELS. Logan...ugh, this guy!!!

I really enjoyed the overall plot. I thought it had the perfect hints of comedy and gave us a really fun story to read. The side characters were great. Kyle...I want a story for Kyle like NOW. That man is just a golden retriever country boy and I WANT IT.

My thoughts are kind of scrambled because I literally just finished this book and genuinely enjoyed it so much. I want to talk about it all but don't want to spoil anything!

I loved the list Primrose made. I love the whole "cowboy" and "yee-haw" inside joke. I loved the family drama. I loved the farm life. I LOVED THE SPICE. HOT DAMN. This was hot. And wow. Thank you Letizia, I salute you.

Oh, and as always, I LOVE WHEN LETIZIA MAKES CAMEOS FROM THE OTHER BOOK; OH HOW IT MELTS MY HEART!!!

This was just a fun time. It's a little long but so worth it. You will fall in love with these two, I assure you.

Thank you so much to Letizia Lorini for the ARC copy! I appreciate it more than you know <3

Talk about partners in crime!

Letizia is one of my favorite romcom authors ever! There’s not one book of hers that I haven’t completely devoured. Her humor is top tier, her banter style is CHEFS KISS perfect, and her romance is so emotionally beautiful… she’s literally everything.

I hate how long it took me to pick this up—I blame my ARC obsession. I also love how all of her books include a playlist; it’s one of the best parts!

Logan and Primrose had the FUNNIEST meet-cute. I was cackling; there were tears in my eyes because of how hilarious these two were. The grumpy sunshine dynamic gets me every time! Logan is the best grumpy MMC probably ever; he was just so straightforward that I couldn’t stop laughing! And Primrose is such a baddie; she’s a literal diva. Together they were so hot and had my heart nearly bursting because of how lovable they were.

And oh my gosh the epilogue… the IAN AND AMELIE CAMEO??? I CRIED. Those are my #1 babies.

1⭐ for initial 30%. It was good.....like i love it.
The whole drama with the 🐖 and 🔥 was entertaining, i laughed like anything but sadly that's all it has🙄
The later plot was way too obvious, predictable and boring.
I don't like Logan at all. He was potrait as a "can do anything for you Barbie"......but sadly that's just all talk 🥹
Don't recommend at all🥲
Another day, another disappointment 😮‍💨

I did enjoy parts of this, but I felt like there was something missing. Maybe something with the pacing of the story, the insta-love aspect or the flimsy reasoning behind the fake dating? The story felt a bit disjointed to me.
I also found myself skimming parts, wanting it to be over, particularly towards the end.

Things I enjoyed:
- The main characters as individuals. Mr. grumpy grump Logan and golden retriever Primrose.
- The hilarious meet cute.
- The piglets!
- The relationship between the two main characters, to a point. Calling her “backpack” as a cutesie nickname was so cringe! But I did like their banter and how they pushed each other’s buttons.

Things I didn’t enjoy:
- Backpack (as mentioned above).
- The storyline with Logan’s brother and SIL. Weird and a tad unnecessary?
- How quickly they fell in love.
- The way it ended/the epilogue.
- The way Prim’s self-esteem and internalised fatphobia was linked to how Logan desired her. I would have loved for her to reach this level of self-love without it being dependant on being desired by a man.

This was a okay read for me, despite the fact that I love this author’s writing and that this is set in the same world as her previous books, which I adored.

I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy and these are my thoughts:

This was an emotional rollercoaster! It was fun and spicy and also almost made me cry a couple of times. But the story also touched on serious topics such as body imagine & insecurities due to bullying or shaming; anxiety and panic attacks and emotional trauma.

If you’ve read any of Letizia’s other books, then you’ll be familiar with her FMCS, which through a series of bad or misguided decisions, quickly see their lives derail; until everything blows up in their face but somehow, they always find the HEA. And though this was also the case with Primrose - and I loved her - Logan was the spotlight character for me. Both Primrose and Logan had great characters growth, though Logan’s was impressive. The grumpy, rude farmer-biker of the beginning of the story, turned out to be caring and kind. He just needed some tender love and care to help bring him out of his shell and Primrose did just that - with her spunky and fearless personality; she was so lovable.
They made a great pair that was both funny, sexy and supportive of one another.

Also, Letizia just knows how to write an epilogue! It was, once again, perfection! I was so happy with it!!!

This book is spicier than Letizia’s other books, but I didn’t feel the spice overpowered the plot.
And since she includes a “spice chapter index” with spice ratings, you can just skip the spicier chapters if you wish and not miss out on this gem.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Letizia Lorini is by far an “if she writes it, I’m gonna read it” author for me. This book was fantastic. Right from the first chapter you are sucked into the story and don’t realize you have devoured half the book in one sitting. I could not put this down. The story, the characters. They are so well written I had to keep reading. Letizia wrote some fantastic tropes into this story; grumpy x sunshine, roommates to lovers (this was a new one for me), fake dating, cowboy/city girl, biker mmc, and curvy FMC.

This book is so swoony and Logan is perfect book boyfriend material. Primerose is amazing. Them together is just perfect! They have amazing banter that made reading this story so much fun. And their spice…. Yep it was amazing! I couldn’t get enough of this book and would have read a whole other book of these two characters and still not had enough. If you are wanting a swoony, spicy, rom-com that pulls you in and has you devouring the story at warp speeds, this is the book for you. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

I had pretty high hopes for this one, and it had some really good moments, but not all of it worked for me.

I found this book was probably twice as long as it needed to be. it felt like nothing really happened between the 20-60% mark and dragged a bit. I found myself skimming and focusing mostly on reading the dialogue for that portion. That said, Letizia Lorini writes some of my favourite MMCs.

That said, there were several moments that were those magical moments in a romance book and I absolutely LOVED Logan. I'd let that man do bad things to me. Logan comes across as the grumpiest grump but is actually a total softie with a HUGE heart under the grumpy facade. Also, all the tattoos and he's a biker/farmer? Yep, here for all of this.

Primrose had her moments, but I mostly found her kind of annoying, which I HATE saying about characters - particularly female characters. Her career as a candy influencer was .. a choice.

I loved the mental health (anxiety/panic attacks) representation and getting it from the MMC. I also appreciated how supportive and reassuring Logan was of Primrose.

I would have liked to learn more about how exactly Prim and Derek got connected in the first place. I did predict the connection for the whole Logan's "ex girlfriend" situation and I'm not sure I loved that decision, but I see what she was trying to do there.

Overall, Logan made this book for me. There were some great moments and the beginning really hooked me, but it lost me for a bit in the middle.

Thank you to Letizia Lorini for the ACR.

I want to start this off by saying I loved the first two books in this series so much that I’m seriously sad I didn’t like this more 🥲

I found the plot of this book to be… weird. I didn’t connect with anything that was happening and found it to be waaaay too insta-love for my taste. I’m a slow burn girlie and this just wasn’t that, which is fine! There were a lot of moments that made me cringe and with the plot being so far out of left field, I skimmed a lot to finish it 🫠

Logan really was the star of this one for me. He’s a grump with a gooey cinnamon roll center and fell hard for Prim.

Title: Riding the Sugar High
Author: Letizia Lorini
My format: ebook
🌶️: 4

Tropes:
🍭 Fake dating
🍓 Grumpy sunshine
🍭 City girl x country boy
🍓 Biker MMC
🍭 Curvy FMC
🍓 Spicy

We have a grumpy, hot, brooding, motorcycle driving, rough and tough alpha-hole who might be a bit of an animal-loving softie on the inside, and we then have a fun and cute, curvy badass city girl, who's about to show this country boy what he's missing.

Logan is a farmer trying to turn his family’s farm vegan. Primrose is an influencer but she’s a talented creator and not just a dime-a-dozen "here's a day in my life" influencer (she makes inclusive candy!!!).

As a plus-sized woman, I loved the FMC for her inner monologue. Often, other people can't stand when the curvy girl is always saying she's curvy and in one breath saying she loves herself but in the next feeling self-concious or unloveable. This is so incredibly realistic to so many of us that struggle with our weight.

I loved their banter. I giggled so damn much. I was genuinely eating these two up. They just had such beautiful chemistry and their story just unfurled perfectly.

The cast of side characters was also amazing, especially Kyle. (side note, can we please get a Kyle book next???)

And the spice?? It be spicy. A light touch of primal, a fabulously dirty mouth, and some great motorbike adjacent scenes… (the VISOR??? Hnghh … IYKYK)

Thank you so much to Letizia Lorini for the ARC copy!

I wanted to love this but I found it so hard to get through this book. The writing style wasn't for me and I found some of the plot to be weird. I should have dnf-ed it put I pushed it through because I got it as an arc

When they kissed in the first chapter after she almost ran him over, I kind of knew I wouldn't enjoy it. I found it to be a weird way to start the book.

Plot - 5/5
Characters - 5/5
Spice - 🌶️🌶️🌶️

My goodness if Logan’s not a whole lot of vegan, not a cowboy, dirty talking farmer. I adored the meet-cute in this book and as always, the author does a fabulous job highlighting insecurities and deep rooted anxiety without just writing it off.

I had this book saved in my calendar because I KNEW I was going to obsess over Logan and I was 100% correct. There are no true words to describe this man. While he absolutely fucks up throughout the novel, the dual perspective allows you to see that he is trying his absolute best and adores his Barbie. And there is no denying HE FELL HARDER.

This book does have a plot twist that I predicted about 20% in but fuck me, the ANGST. I knew where it was going and it felt like I was on a train wreck unable to avoid it and praying to god everything turned out okay.

Barbie, AKA Prim is my absolute spirit animal and her banter with Logan was just chef’s kiss. This is dialogue and chemistry done right from page 1 and Letizia just has a way with words that suckers you in. I’m a forever fan.

I loveeedddd this book!!!

I loved Primrose & Logan🥹🥹🤍

I related to both main characters, prim with her self conscious even though she seemed over confident on the outside, but on the inside she wasn’t.
Logan with his panic attacks, as someone who suffers from them I knew exactly how he felt when he first got his😭😭

I loved how Logan tried not to fall for her, but he was doomed the moment they met 🫠
Even though he tried to show her that he was an A’hole he couldn’t really be one to her💀🤣

I loved how prim was understanding of his attitude without pushing him to talk about it and just waited until he was ready.
I loved her stubbornness.

Overall this book was really cuteee and had me laughing and tearing in some parts. Def need to grab myself a physical copy🫶🏻🫶🏻

“My home is right here” -Logan 🥹

“It was about finding something real, something to hold on to. & kissing you.. it felt like coming up for air after being underwater for too long.” -Logan 😭🥹

“She’s so pretty without makeup. With it, she looks like a million bucks, & without it she looks cozy. Warm & natural.”

This was so different from the first two books but in the best way. From the first chapter I was totally hooked.

Logan and Prim meet when she hits him with her car, no literally. From there, the two can’t get rid of each other, nor do they really want to.

As complete opposite as these two are, they were silly, flirty, passionate, and just overall super fun to read about. I enjoyed all the side characters and also loved seeing more Shane & Heaven and Ian & Amalie 🥹

Wasn’t really a fan of his nickname for her, but oh well.

If you're looking for a small town romance with some rom-com vibes that will also get you in your feelings, definitely think about picking up Riding the Sugar High.

This book had one of the most unique, outlandish openings that I've read in a contemporary romance in a long time (maybe of all time??) and it immediately made me fall in love with both of our main characters, Primrose and Logan.

It's hard to believe that the majority of this book takes place over the span of just a few weeks because the connection between Prim and Logan is just so strong. They're clearly meant to be together and it honestly seems like they've known each other for much, much longer. It's instalove done right and I completely ate it up. Granted, they certainly bickered a lot at first but it was fun, flirty, and had me laughing out loud.

Logan was the biggest grump with the softest heart. I loved all the little [and big] ways he cared for Primrose even if he swore he didn't. His mental health issues killllled me and I just wanted to hug him. I can't even count all the times I teared up while he struggled through some of the things that he dealt with. I just really love the way Letizia wrote his character and I'm pretty sure he is my favorite mmc by her. I mean... vegan farmer who saves piglets from certain death?! Sign me up.

Primrose was definitely my favorite fmc that I've read by this author. She also had a big heart and was genuinely so funny. I wanted to murder anyone that ever made her feel like she was anything less than the fucking angel she was!! As a short girl with thick thighs, I felt really seen reading her POV at times and made me love her (and the author) that much more.

The small, subtle touches and moments between Prim and Logan were EVERYTHING. Without a doubt, my favorite couple she has written thus far. I loved the ending and the epilogue - she continues to write the best epilogues. Can't wait for her next book.

The author has a knack for vivid descriptions and a smooth narrative flow, which made reading the book enjoyable despite its flaws.

However, and unfortunately, this book was not for me. From the outset, I found it forced and struggled to connect with the characters. The initial scene felt very awkward and forced, with an almost instant love connection that didn't sit well with me. Additionally, the nickname "Barbie" is, in my opinion, the worst ever. If my romantic interest called me that, I would constantly feel mocked, which I did not like at all.

The protagonist’s job is quite random, and of course, as a curvy character, she has to be a sweets influencer. (?) I was expecting to love this book, especially since it promised curvy representation, but once again, we have a protagonist whose entire personality revolves around her different body type. Her storyline is all about self-acceptance and gaining more self-esteem. Why? Why can't we have curvy heroines who have other issues in life besides their weight?

Moreover, the protagonist moved into the love interest's house with unnatural speed. Doesn’t she have a life? Businesses to return to? I found this aspect unrealistic and unappealing. I was left feeling disappointed.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Letizia Lorini for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book.

Letizia is quickly rising higher and higher on my list of favourite authors, and this book proves exactly why. I thought I couldn't love any of her characters more than Ian and Amelie, but PRIM AND LOGAN?!? I am obsessed with them! Their chemistry is just *chef's kiss* and the journey and self-growth they go through in this book are simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking.

I love the underlying theme of food in all three of the books in this series, but having Prim make candy is just so much fun! And her personality is so perfectly matched with making candy, I loved all of it.

I also always love to see plus-size representation! Having Prim be curvy made me connect a lot more to the story, and I saw a lot of my own internal fears as a curvier woman represented in a meaningful and accurate way. But the way Logan handles her fears is unparalleled and should be studied on how to help an insecure QUEEN.

This book is DEFINITELY 18+, so please check trigger warnings and associated themes before picking up this book, but overall, I just had so much fun! This book took over my life for the past week and I am not likely to let it go anytime soon.

Yee-haw y'all <3
