Running From the AIs is a thrilling sci-fi adventure different from the usual type of book Kevin Coleman usually writes.

Set in the future but within the same universe as Kevin's other books, this book focuses on the AIs themselves and what happens when two humans begin to recognize a pattern. A questionable AI with sinister motives decides Raphael and Ellie must be silenced and pursue them, leaving the two lovers to flee for their lives.

While on the run, they witness something, and the urge to flee grows stronger. Suddenly, they must decide who they can trust and what type of life they want to live in order to be free.

This book was captivating from the start and filled with unexpected turns until the end. I completely enjoyed this and would recommend it.

This was the first book that I’ve read by Kevin Coleman. I finished it in a week. It’s an easy read and an exciting one. The two main characters are likeable and I found myself rooting for them when they were forced to escape – very quickly – after Rafael accidentally discovers something which sets the sentient AIs after him. On their journey, the young couple witness a murder which then causes hitmen to search for them along with the Ais’ bots, and so there are some tense situations which make for riveting reading. One scene I particularly enjoyed was their naming ceremony, performed by the allies they meet in a small village. This is a novel I’d term soft science fiction/cozy mystery. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book and the continuation of the Gaia world series. A truly captivating story, I had a hard time putting this one down.

I really enjoyed the off-grid living, though I wish this had been expanded on even more than it had been.

I really enjoy this author's writing, however I find his stories too short! I would love more Gaia's World stories! I can't wait until his next installment!

A near-future adventure that wraps speculation of how people might be affected by the presence of genuinely intelligent Artificial Intelligence, and what we might do to regain and retain what it means to be human.

I found Running From the AIs an enjoyable introduction to Mr. Coleman's writing, and look forward to reading his other books.
