About the author

Award-winning author Elle James grew up as an air force military brat. She received her work ethic from her rock-solid father, her creative streak from her artistic mother and inspiration from her writing partner and sister, Delilah Devlin. As a former member of the army reserves and a current member of the air force reserves, she's traveled across the United States and to Germany, managed a full-time job, and raised three wonderful children. She and her husband have even tried their hands at ranching exotic birds (ostriches, emus and rheas) in the Texas hill country. Bayou Brotherhood Protectors series #4. Spin off of other Brotherhood Protector series. Can be read as a stand-alone. Some PTSD for both the hero and heroine in the past.
Beau Boyette has joined the Bayou branch of the Brotherhood Protectors, close to his huge extended family. Beau’s first assignment is to pose as a bodyguard to the daughter of the state senator, Aurelie Anderson. She’s an activist fighting to keep the bayou free from dumping violations and receiving death threats from an unknown source. Beau’s job is to keep her alive. It seems the mafia has other ideas.

Fast moving action: danger, protection, connection, and winning resolution. Aka, they meet. He protects. They fall for each other. They get steamy! The villain gets caught. One more successful protection and match. Yes, it’s a formula but it’s also an ex soldier getting his well deserved hea. A romantic suspense story to fill an afternoon with an armchair adventure. And love.

Beau's mom raised 10 kids by herself after her husband died and he got older he went in the military. Aurelie is a Senators daughter and definitely has a mind of her own. There's action, heat and trying to stay away from a hitman. I like the Bayou vibe. HEA.

Tough as nails woman doesn’t need a bodyguard.

Aurelie Anderson has been receiving some threats. Her father, Senator Anderson has decided to run again in the upcoming election. Senator Anderson contacts the Bayou Brotherhood Protectors for a bodyguard for his daughter. Beau is the next man up for this fourth book in this series.

Beau, originally from the area w a passel of siblings and dozens of cousins is quietly suffering thru PTSD and survivors guilt. His entire team died in a helicopter accident; he lived. Senator Anderson wants to keep his bodyguard status a secret from his daughter. He knows how head strung and independent she can be.

On the eve that they meet she is smitten then chased by a bad guy who picks her us and throws her in the Bayou with a gator heading her way. Beau finds her and rescues her just in time. As Beau takes her to her home for clean clothes they discover her home has been ransacked and destroyed. The two spend the night in Beau’s room at the boarding house the guys live in. The two have a good discussion determining why Aurelie has been targeted.

It only takes the next day for Aurelie to realize that Beau is the bodyguard her father threatened to hire. One of the things I enjoy in this series is there is no drama. She was ticked off for not even half a day. This was a light, easy read with a plot and plans to save the damsel - even though she wouldn’t like that adjective. I have enjoyed all four books in this series so far.

If you want a super fun, fast paced, feel good read with a satisfying HEA, Beau, Bayou Brotherhood Protectors Bk #4 is the way to go. Our hero in green, Beau, is tasked with protecting the threatened daughter of a senator running for reelection. Our heroine, Aurelie, leads her father's efforts in preserving the bayou by exposing businesses not following safety protocols. As you can imagine, this makes her a perfect target. So when threats escalate, her dad hires a bodyguard from the Brotherhood Protectors for her, but wants them to do it without her knowledge. Never a good idea. Just saying. The adventure starts pretty much from the first page with a masquerade ball that involves green tights, a quiver of arrows, a scorching kiss, and eventually a late night swim with some alligators:) There is fun and fast paced action, but this story truly feels like more of a developing romance. But again, the pesky fact that Aurelie doesn't know Beau has been hired as her protector just might throw a monkey wrench into things. But don't worry, she is absolutely not a TSTL character!! A great read in the Brotherhood Protector Series-I mean who doesn't love a Cajun accent and some yummy descriptions. The whole series is awesome. I received an ARC of this story for my honest review.

Beau had joined the Rangers as soon as he could out of high school. He had a need to help those who couldn't help themselves. Now that he has retired from the Rangers, he has joined the Bayou protection team. This group of ex-Military men, helped those who needed their expertise while they fulfilled their need to help others. Due to the generosity of their founder and his wife, they were able to help even those who couldn't afford their services. They were setting up a new firm in Louisiana. Some of the men were actually from small towns near Bayou Mamboloa. Beau lived here prior to joining the service. His mother had ten children and his aunt had nineteen, so he had lots of relatives in the area. He was glad to get home.
However, his first assignment had him wearing a Robin Hood outfit to a masquerade ball. Here he was to meet and then provide protection for Aurelie Anderson whose father was in the middle of a campaign. He did not want Aurelie to know he had hired Beau for her protection. What will she do when she finds out Beau lied ( even though by omission to her?

I absolutely loved Beau and Aurelie. Elle James brought their wonderful and heartfelt story to full technicolour life.

I love how fresh each book in the Brotherhood Protectors world is. Each and every book is the start of a new adventure, with the added bonus of catching up with past characters and seeing how their lives are evolving.

Beau is a wonderful character. He’s a dominant alpha male, a man who strives to protect those who cannot protect themselves. But he’s also grieving and in so much emotional pain you can feel it pouring from the pages.

Aurelie is a strong character. She fights for what she believes in and strives to right the wrongs she sees being committed.

I loved watching their story unfold, their bond binding them together. Their chemistry off the charts and so addictive to read.

Such a compelling read. I can’t recommend highly enough. 5 stars are nowhere near enough to fully portray how wonderful this read is.

Once again we are with the Cajun branch of the Brotherhood Protectors and this time we have Beau Byette story He is struggling the soul survivor if a helicopter crash were he lost his entire team he can't figure why he was the one to survive But it has given him the chance to work with his new team in the bayou's and to be near his very large extended family His first job is to be the bodyguard of a state senator's daughter but under no circumstances is Aurelie Anderson to realise he is her bodyguard. The only problem is the danger is getting very close and Aurelie needs him even closer something it is had to do when he can't tell her who he is but when sheeventuially finds out she is devastated as she has been lied to before. Can he convince her to give him a chance as he realises that she is far more than a case she is the woman he loves. This is a fast paced fun red with plenty of suspense and drama to keep you engaged until the last page.

Beau and arrows!

I love Beau dressed as Robin Hood, complete with.... tights! That really is taking the whole protector role to an extreme, but he sucks it up and owns it as he swoops in to save the damsel. It is rare that Auri is a damsel in distress, she usually manages to keep herself safe, but this time she has unwittingly picked the wrong battle which could cost her her life.
Beau will not only steal your heart as he works to keep Auri safe and earn her trust, but also as he introduces us to his slightly crazy family members.....some of whom we have already met! There are a huge number of them and that is before you get to the 19 cousins!
Another fantastic and successful mission for the Bayou Brotherhood Protectors and another happy future secured.

When Beau is assigned as the bodyguard to a senator’s daughter, Aurelie, he can’t tell her he’s her bodyguard and has to keep it a secret. The night he meets her, he saves her but still can’t tell her who he works for. Sticking to her like glue is no hardship, he’s attracted to her and she’s attracted to him. After more than one attempt and learning who is after her, Beau can’t keep the truth from her….will she stay with him after she learns the real reason he’s with her.
A great read with suspense and great characters. I liked these two, Aurelie is an independent strong woman and Beau is a protector. I loved the little to no drama and how easily they fit before and after the truth is revealed.

This is one of those books that once you start reading you just can’t put it down. The plot is very intriguing. Set in New Orleans, Beau is a retired military whose mission is to protect Aurelie from threats she has been receiving from an unknown source. As soon as they meet, something magical happens that is they both fall for one another very hard. Although the menace is still around both characters will build a very deep relationship, overcoming any issues coming their way. If you are a firm believer of the family as an institution and of love at first sight this book is surely the one for you.

I enjoyed the dog’s name-guessing scene and the cute ending.
This is a fast-paced instant attraction romantic suspense combining New Orleans Mafia, political corruption, an abandoned dog, and two trauma survivors who save each other as they fall deeper in love.

Former Army Ranger Beau reunites with his family while his first job as a Brotherhood Protector for Senator Marcus Anderson protecting his daughter Aurelie immediately leads to a rescue and multiple threats.

Local flavor

Beau and Aurelie. Protect, but don’t tell…because secrets don’t come back to get you. They have an almost immediate attraction, but there is also an element of danger as Auri is attacked in the first few minutes of their meeting. The danger comes from a potential several sources as her dad is a Senator. Beau is a complex character who has a lot of family local to the area. The story unfolds quickly and with lots of details and added moments that create a rich couple, storyline and community. Lady and Beaus mom were my favorites and I loved the ending for the new couple and family!

Beau pulled on my heart strings. I felt for him, his guilt was understandable. Auriele had her own guilt, was strong, independent and caring. They made a great tame. Her dad did them both wrong by soliciting that promise from the Brotherhood. Was fast paced, entertaining with some steamy interlude and a dog. You can never go wrong with a dog. I really like this branch of the Brotherhood Protectors. Local to the Bayou area is Beau, he's been hired by Senator Anderson who's daughter is receiving death threats. She's going above and beyond to stop companies dumping toxic waste into the Bayou's. The Mafia is out for her blood as money is involved.
Beau has his hands full with this independant woman.
This was one exciting romantic suspense, danger all around them and plenty of sparks from their own chemistry.
Towards the end of the book there were heart stopping moments.
I loved it and highly recommend this series.

Beau is a Bayou Brotherhood Protector who has been hired to protect the daughter of a senator & to not tell her who he is, what he does, or who hired him.
Aurelia is working to get her dad re-elected when she starts getting death threats. When she meets a man at campaign event who ends up saving her life, she's afraid to enjoy how he makes her feel, or the coincidence of him being in the right place at the right time twice in one night!
This is fast-paced steamy action that will keep you going 'til the end!

Beau has just joined the brotherhood and isn't sure that his first assignment babysitting the spoiled brat Aurelie is what he thought he would be doing. Once he meets her he slowly changes his mind. She is troublesome but so worthy of his attention that he has to remember that she is his assignment.
He comes from a large family while Aurelie is an only child. He needs the help of his large family as well as his brothers in the Protectors. Love reading about the Bayou and their challenges as they work together to keep her safe.

I love the series and the story. Beau is working for Brotherhood Protectors and his assignment is to keep Aurelie safe. Aurelie has been getting threats to her life and her father hires the Brotherhood Protectors to keep his daughter safe. She runs her father's operation saving the bayou. She works with the EPA to catch companies violating the guidelines and poisoning the bayou. Can Beau keep her safe and find out who wants her dead. Must read to find out. I read an arc of this book and this is my review.

Beau Boyette is something else. He captures your heart from the very beginning!
His new Job with the Brotherhood Protectors just got interesting. His job is to protect the Senator’s daughter Aurelie Anderson. Her life is in danger.
But keeping his job a secret is proving to be quite challenging. Aurelie is beautiful, smart, strong, sassy and she’s starting to put the pieces together. The more time Beau spends with her the more he sees a future with her. Can Beau keep her safe?

Beau Boyette is set to meet and guard feisty senator’s daughter Aurelie Anderson at a political masquerade ball with strict instructions not to let Aurelie know Beau’s her bodyguard. The pair find conversation, drinks and dance easy but when Beau kisses her on the dance floor, Aurelie is stunned and rushes from the ballroom going out for air. That turns out to be a not so bright idea when Beau sees a man throw Aurelie over a railing into a gator infested bayou but is too far to stop him. They get to her house and find it’s been ransacked!

This is one of the few stories where I found my myself changing loyalties from one to the other. At one point I was cheering for Beau to make his goal. But within the next moments he has me turning to Aurelie and I was cheering for her choices. It’s great when moments brought the two are making choice together. Until I turn the page and they are standing in their opposite corners again. But all is not lost as their relationship comes together. Great story.

The Bayou is heating up! Beau Boyette is the latest Bayou Brotherhood Protector to get an assignment, he's protecting Aurelie Anderson, a senator's daughter who has been getting death threats. Aurelie is a strong, sassy woman who intrigues Beau from the moment he meets her. Keeping her alive is going to keep Beau busy. There is suspense, danger, some heat, and a happy ending. I enjoyed getting to know Beau's family in this story.

The Bayou Brotherhood continues to provide readers with great entertainment. Beau is a native of the Bayou and given the assignment of protecting Aurelie who is a spitfire. The plot of the story moves very quickly as the characters try to figure out who is gunning for them. I love the dialogue especially the dash of the local Bayou dialect that the author uses that gives the story an added genuineness. The characters are interesting and go well together. Go out and get your copy!

Wow! I really enjoyed this book.
This is a book you will really enjoy.
it was fast paced with surprises everywhere.
Lots of action out on the Bayou.
When I first started reading it, I thought it was going to a poor little rich girl thing. WRONG!
I love how Elle brings secondary characters into her books and the end always leaves you thinking "What happens Next"
I hope it will come out in Audio book sometime soon.

Wonderful and exciting romantic suspense. Beau just hired on with Brotherhood Protectors after being medically discharged from the military. He’s charged with protecting a Senators daughter, Aurelie. Their meeting was unique but turned dangerous quickly. The characters are fantastic and so is the storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading future books by Ms James.

Beau and Aurelie have both suffered and didn’t understand why, until they meet. Never understanding why it took both of them for healing.
Beau comes from a big family and wants them close but not too close. While trying to protect her, he not only needs the assistance of his team but also his family.
