It appears that Cricket and Jyme have it all together now. They have a house, serenity, safety a normal life. But something always seems to take Cricket back to her past sometimes, her future requires it.

Make sure you read Heels of Love before you read this. Ok I'm not sure where to start with this book. Heels of Love had my head so messed up I tracked the author down on Facebook and begged that she hurries up with book two. Now I'm here wondering how the heck I can write a review for this.
I'm not going to repeat what happens in this book as it's in the description. Oh wait- only part of what happens is in the description. This has so much going on. I read this in one sitting. I ignored my favourite programmes to read this. I didn't have dinner because of this book. Heck I feel as if I held my breath all the way through this book and can only breath now.
I must say I've never said 'really' , 'seriously' and 'no way' so much in two books. I found this book a bit far fetched but that's what I wanted. Sometimes we need to escape from normal and this fitted the bill. Loved this book. It was a gripping read.
I've waited a few months for this book and it was certainly worth the wait. These two books are certainly in my re read list.
I've been looking at my tablet for 5 solid minutes... internally cursing this book out. WHY? well because I should have been freaking forewarned that the ending is NOT your normal "HEA". I will of course explain why I am so irritated (attempting to keep it spoiler free).
So... I have read a few books where the ending was not as expected....and I am perfectly fine with that, HOWEVER most of these books will provide you with a "warning" not your standard ending.. which allow you to be mentally prepared for the outcome. You know going in.. that this is going to be different and you and probably NOT going to like it but it is what it is.. in this case..
I.got.screwed
Now the book, the storyline was great!.. aside from the fact that I didn't quite understand why everything came down to her... and Trey quite honestly didn't seem smart enough to solve 2+2 so I didn't see the whole reason for her to need to take those steps. I mean I get why she thought she HAD to provide that outcome but if you sat and really thought about it.. yeah the whole outcome was sorta off.. didn't really click with me.
Oh and the whole dropping off with nan thing (keeping to spoiler free so you can be like WTF when it comes to that point) yeah didn't fly with me at all. I am like WOW...
And I know I am not the only one who thought Jyme was dumbed down in this one.. I mean seriously have many times can you save squirrel before you are like F#+@ it. She turned into Captain save a fool several times.
So all in all good book, ending sucked badly for me anyways.
Cricket is back where Troy and Trey want her; out of the arms of Jyme and back with them. It didn't take her long to get back in the swing of her old life.
Jyme won't let Cricket go without a fight. He does everything in his power to find her and bring her home. But will it be enough? Crickets past has once again come between her relationship with Jyme. The question is will she finally put a stop to it, or will it be the last of her and Jyme?
The final book in this series and it did not disappoint. This book picks up where "Heels of Love" leaves off. Trying to figure out what was going to happen to Cricket and Jyme was making me crazy! Once I thought I knew, Phoenix Rayne threw us another curve ball.
The entire series I was rooting for Jyme and Cricket, but at one point I was hoping they wouldn't be together. There is a MAJOR secret that one of them is keeping that may tear them apart. It made me relate to both of them: having a secret that is best kept from the one you love, and eventually having to tell the truth.
When book 2 finally came to an end, I was really praying that it wasn't over. Phoenix Rayne did an incredible job telling such a complicated story. It was because of her writing that this story was as great as it was.
I cannot tell you how much I really enjoyed this series, you'll just have to take the leap and read them for yourself!
THIS BOOK WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM BOOK 1. I ABSOLUTELY HATE HOW IT ENDED BUT I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER BOOK OR A SHORT FROM CRICKET'S POV. WHAT A RIDE. IT HAS DANGER AND EXCITEMENT AND WHEW... U NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!
Wounded Love is the sequel for Heels in Love, the second part of the Cricket and Jyme's love story. Here we get more insight on Cricket's return to her former life. This return was her sacrifice to save Jyme. I understood that initial sacrifice, however it was a painful read. The pain for me had nothing to do with Cricket being a sex worker and the humiliation she faced. It had to do with the message that she did not deserve freedom and happiness and had to choose between both. I found the events, and actions of the lead characters Cricket and Jyme unrealistic. In terms of how Jyme was depicted in book one, I found it impossible to believe that he would eventually become so accepting of her choices and fate. I could not see why the author did not present other options outside of the martyrdom of Cricket. I guess she was trying to show how much she loved her family, but it reflected to me a lack of self love. Yes Cricket is essentially depicted as a strong person in all that she endured. However, she still ended up 'a victim of the system.' Yes she found love albeit briefly, had children with him, but she remained broken. So in the end despite all the pain that the couple endured - it seemed pointless. Jyme and Cricket did not end up together, nor did it seem that they moved on from each other. This was because she chose to remain in that survivor mode than actually living. There is a fundamental difference between the two. She chose to create her own prison because she was always in flight mode rather than fight mode. Falling in love is very easy, it only takes a second. Staying and fighting for your love and your right to this happiness is the true test. Some may find this book romantic, but to me it sent an unhealthy message. Self love is the foundation from which all types of relationships should spring.

I was more than excited to start this book. It is the second book in the series. You must read Heel of Love first!!! It lays all the background for Jyme and Cricket. The beginning of their story had me up, down, backwards and sideways in the best possible way! I liked that Cricket was not a size 2 but a voluptuous 18 and her man liked her that way. She was confident and independent! You go girl!!! Jyme well he sorta freaked me out at first! Then he knocked my fucking socks off! He was so sweet and sexy and patient! He had an edge to him that made my insides burst with desire! I get chills just thinking about what Jyme has to offer!!! So pick up Heels of Love and then like me you will jump right into this book.
It starts with Cricket's new life and what she has to endure at the hands of her captures. All of Cricket's past will be revealed in this book and so much more. Cricket is a ride or die bitch and has more strength for the loves in her life than imaginable! Which brings me back to sweet Jyme. That man, *swoon* well let's just say everyone has a breaking point and he had reached his! Jyme and Cricket go through some crazy ass shit. Most people wouldn't survive the challenges they faced. They wouldn't even make or halfway there Shit I know I wouldn't!!! You find out whether everything Cricket did was worth it. You find out if her and Jyme will last. You find out who's lying and you find out some secrets that are sure to rock your world. Some things are unforgivable and some things are made for each other.
Wounded Love by Phoenix Rayne 4 stars Reviewed by Dani
Wounded Love is book two in the From Love to Loathe series by Phoenix Rayne. Heels of Love must be read first in order to understand this novel. Wounded Love shows us more about Cricket's past and just how far she will go to protect Jyme. I was surprised about her past a bit. Usually I expect the male character to come out with those revelations! She is an admirable character who will do whatever is necessary to protect her love and that includes leaving him behind. Jyme doesn't understand that everything Cricket does is for him and he may not be able to forgive her. Her past is crazy and she doesn't want Jyme to get caught up in it but does she really have a choice?
The best way to describe this novel is heart wrenching. The depth of Crickets love for Jyme is so intense. The things she does to save him are unimaginable. How far would someone go for their soul mate? Cricket would go miles and miles and miles for hers. The things she went through were kind of sad and I kind of wanted another ending. Overall pretty good read!
This is the second book in the "From Love to Loathe" series and is my favorite. I don't go in for romance alone an I need more to keep me interested. This book had it and more!
So it starts off with Cricket back to her old life as a casino call girl. I was not expecting her to be so good at her job. If you have a delicate nature this book is far more spicy then the last one so be prepared.
*Spoiler alert*
Cricket gets rescued from her life by Jyme but gets sucked back in when the Terror Twins finds them again. Stage casino scenes are what kept me glued to the book. It fascinating to see the dark place that Cricket has to he to in order to lead this life...to survive in this life.
We also find out a few more of Crickets secrets. The main in being that her sister is still alive and that she has had a child with Jyme. So why is the child important? Because this is one of the reasons Jyme and Cricket break up. She doesn't fell like she can be a good mother neither does Jyme after seeing a video of some of her call girl duties.
Whew! I tell you this book has so many twists that you will think you are driving down Lombard street in California.
Cricket is protecting the person that she loves most. She is enduring abuse daily from Trey and Troy. When Mr.Paul sees her he gives her 6,000 dollars and her own suite that she only has the keys for and then he tells Troy that he can't do that again. She was rescued by Jyme and she has bruises from the last time she was beat on. Jyme found her because D'Artagnan called him and told him that he has found her. Jyme and Cricket have 3 children. Jyme went to all around the United States trying to find Cricket, he hasn't been the same man since she left. Cricket has done everything to protect Jyme. She is an ex prostitute. Chelle is Cricket's friend and she sent Jyme on a wild goose chase. Trey and Troy knew how to get Cricket back. D'Artagnan found Cricket and he wants to help her. Cinnamon is a prostitute and Cricket's friend. Sugar is a prostitute and Cricket's friend. You have to read the first book in order to understand this book. Phoenix does it again. Another book that I couldn't put down. I loved how well this story was written and how well the characters were developed. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
When we last saw Cricket and Jyme Cricket had exchanged her freedom to save Jyme’s life. This book picks up a year later. Cricket has been forced back into the life she desperately tried to get away from, but for Jyme she does it. It’s not a pretty life and I want to cry for her through most of this book. Jyme of course loves her so much that he won’t give up until he finds her.
As with the first book, I had a hard time getting into the story, but I desperately wanted to know what happens to these two amazing characters. I have to say I was not disappointed! Shocked, speechless, flabbergasted and floored YES but so not disappointed. This is defiantly not your typical HEA romance; it’s more of a typhoon of emotional ups and downs. Just when you think things are going to work out the winds pick up and throw the twister to full speed headed in the wrong direction. There are some huge OMG moments and some WHAT? WHY? moments as well. This book is a good read and I give it 4 stars.

Wounded Love is book number two in the From Love to Loathe series. Heels of Love must be read first in order to understand Wounded Love. In this book we start a year after the first book left off. Again we are in the life of Cricket and Jyme. This book has alot of emotion in it so be prepared for that. Cricket is still dealing with a life that she hates and wanted to get away from. But she can't. She deals by living this way for Jyme. You feel her heartache. You can feel her emotions as the pages go on. I found this book to be much better then book one! I pulled me directly in and I finished it in one afternoon. The writing was great. There was a couple times I got a little confused (mainly the start of the book.) But I quickly figured it all out and couldn't stop reading. I love the way Cricket and Jyme's characters are written. I wouldn't change a thing. I loved the twists of not expecting things. And not knowing what Cricket was going to do. Great read from Phoenix Rayne.
Wounded Love is the second book in the From Love to Loathe series. It is not a standalone and you must read Heels of Love first. I loved Heels of Love and couldn't wait to read Wounded Love. In the beginning of the book, there were a lot of thing happening and I was a little confused on what was going on. Troy and Trey are in book one but I didn't realize how much of a hold they would have on Cricket and how much of a part they would play in the second book. I was definitely shocked by some of the things Cricket did in this story. There are some twists that I never expected. I was kind of hoping for a sweet love story between Jyme and Cricket. I was surprised by the ending and hope that we get more Jyme and Cricket.
Wounded Love was a great sequel to Heels of Love it pick right up where Heels of Love left off. There was so many twists and turns in this book it was unbelievable. The things that she had to endure in this story broke my heart and made feel so sorry for Cricket… There were so many secrets reveal in this book that left we in awe.
Cricket makes you love her in this book because she was doing all she could to keep herself, her family, and the ones she loved safe be any means necessary.
The best way to describe this back is a must read, gut wrenching, and gritty. This story will open your eyes to true love, and have you asking how far is to far for a person to go for love.. Overall a excellent story and I would recommend The Love to Loathe Series to every reader in the world.

Oh, the intensity of this book had me reading straight through! I couldn't get enough of this story and am so glad I have 2 more books to look forward too. In the 2nd book of this series we get to see a totally different side to Cricket. Her secrets come out. She'll do anything to protect those she loves and considers family. She good at what she does. Her and Jyme have there ups and downs and Jyme shows a side of him that I didn't see coming. What a shocker! Things do calm down only to heat right back up again. More adventures, more questions and a lot of action.
I am really enjoying this series but be forewarned, you will need a tissue or two as you read this,
This book was just as good as the first one. Cricket was wounded indefinitely. Jhyme was acting out of anger at first but he wanted his baby and Cricket but he just didn't like the lifestyle she once had. D'Artagnan was madly in love with Cricket she just didn't feel the same about him. I was glad that Chyna got her self together for Michael. Babe was really hurt about her mom leaving her but to call her b***h was a bit harsh for a toddler. I really wanted Jhyme and Cricket to be a family. I don't think she bought hard enough to be a happy family. This story deserved every bit of it's five stars.Great Job Phoenix Rayne
This book starts out right where Heels of Love ends and I must say that it is just as good if not better than the first. There were many parts in this book that either had me so mad or just wanted to make me cry. The love that Cricket has for Jyme is amazing and so intense that you can just feel it as you are reading it.
There is action, drama, and quite a few surprises.
Make sure you have a box of tissues on hand for the ending because if you are like me you will need them.
As we continue with Cricket and Jyme's powerful love story, we will see how this two are meant to be but fate seems to keep them apart. Be ready to be taken to one helluva of ride.
We will see how this two broken souls are each other soulmates yet life or fate has other plans for them. The intensity of their love and pain is so palpable you will feel every single emotion this two experience. Be ready to be left emotionally drained.
In this installment there will be some situations that are not suitable for young readers.
Gifted by author in exchange for an honest review.
I feel as if I could cry, this book....what can I say, I don't want to spoil anything for readers. I feel like I've been on an emotional journey, my heart is breaking and joyous at the same time. I thought the first book was good but this one just blew me away. A fantastic read but be sure to read Heels of Love first. Phoenix Rayne has written a fantastic novel and I can't wait for the next installment and I'm praying that Jyme gets all that he wishes for!!
Absolutely brilliant, I'm so emotionally exhausted!

WOW, Wounded Love is the second book in the From Love to Loathe Series by Phoenix Rayne. I could not put it down, grabbed me on page one and held my attention until the end. A very intense story line, many twists and turns. I hope there is a part three, Jyme and Cricket cannot end like this. Pick up a copy today of Heels of Love and Wounded Love. You will not be disappointed. Again I say WOW.
She left you wanting more at the end of part 1 - Heels of Love!! Now she's going to have you on the edge of your seat with this 5Star romance novel! ~G Street
This book pissed me off Cricket put everyone ahead of her Jyme and the kids and I know where she is so I'm gonna read the next book and hope for a happy ending
I love this series! Crazy love! Crazy family! Crazy action! Phoenix has amazing writing skills that keeps you engaged though out the entire book. I can wait to read book 4!!!!
I never cried so much reading a book. This was sooooooo goooood! Phoenix had this story on point from the beginning. Jyme and Cricket sacrificed so much for their love, especially Cricket. Everytime she tries to have a normal life something happens to steal it from she and Jyme. The emotional roller coaster ride of the highs and lows were almost too much. I couldn't put my Kindle down
