The characters in this story are so well-written and the flashbacks to the past friendship are so intriguing that I wanted to just keep moving on to the next chapter to find out what happens next. There are the usual things you find in a romance with a school setting, bullies, grades, sports, etc, but none of it dragged the otherwise endearing love story down at all. The MCs are fully formed and independent characters and there is a whole cast of side characters with their own personalities and goals I'm guessing we'll get to dive more deeply into in future books.
