Different Perspectives, Different Worlds. : From one Special Needs Parent to another.

This book has been written for the parents that feel lost sometimes. Perhaps lost in the loneliness of single parenting. Perhaps lost in the battle for the right support with children who have neuro-spicy needs. Perhaps they have lost themselves in the name of parenting itself or in a world that seems so unequal for parents to feel adequately supported with neuro-spicy children.

In my own darkest of times the traditional methods of self-help were just not available to me. I became very frustrated living within a system that seemed to miss out a large proportion of people who may be in the same position as myself. This was my purpose for sharing a raw and truthful account of my own experience with the guidance of what I had wish I found for myself.

Join me on my journey of finding a better balance within family life amongst the tides of neuro-spicy behaviours. I have battled between societal expectations and traditional parenting. I have at times lost a sense of any version of myself through this very twisty road of parenting. At times it has felt overwhelming in the sheer number of dead ends my road seems to have led me to. In turn creating parental anxiety, depression and loneliness. However, I did manage to creatively find the key to a better balance, even amongst a very complex scenario.

It is my hope that my own accounts may help you. It is my hope that you too can find pockets of happiness in amongst a sometimes isolated and exhausting situation.

Covering chapters to Layers of support; Parental Emotional Regulation; Neuro-spicy Meltdowns; Societal Expectations; Isolation; Stigma; Perspective; Exhaustion; Time Poverty; Impact of Stress; Anxiety; Nutrition; Exercise and much more.

Join me on finding the correct balance between caring and providing for your childs' neuro-spicy needs within a very unsupportive society, against the tides of exhaustion and relentlessness, whilst still finding pockets of time to keep you healthy and happy.
