Data Lunar Base Experiments Case 3 For your consideration, we the research team of the Lunar Base present our findings for the mating of the kreecharma Vigo 773-2695-1132682 and the human Jennifer-Anne 'Jeanie' Wainright.
Data -Subject "Mating is a barbaric practice. It's backwards and unnecessary in this modern day. It's better for everyone if its irradicated. She's a challenge. But one I can master. I agreed to let her try to seduce me because I know I can resist her, and I can use her for my research. I have to do it for Her. She has no idea the danger she flirts by trying to claim me. I won't hurt her. So, once I have what I need, I'll be able to let her go. Her kisses won't deter me, no matter how good they are. I can have just one more. It doesn't mean I've lost. I'm still in control. It's just one more." -Subject "An alien mate? Er, yes, please! Are you kidding?! I've been dying for this for years! I'm not going to let this chance slip through my fingers. He's giving me a chance to seduce him, and I'm taking it, because he is my last choice. But like, wow! What a choice, am I right? The fur, the tail, the ears. I got to admit the aloofness is definitely doing it for me. He doesn't even care when I talk too much! He's so cute! Have you seen his eyes? Er, wait, what were we talking about? Oh, yeah. He's mine. And I can't wait to show him just where kisses can go."
This report is a MF romance that is a standalone book that is part of an overarching story. Each report can be read on its own, but for maximum understanding is best read in order.
I am so mad it’s over but she opens up so much and I can only hope we will see more from this world because it truly is amazing and the complexity she gives just *chefs kiss*
I loved this opposites attract, grumpy-sunshine, reluctant mating, sci-fi alien romance. As with the other books in this series, there was a wonderful balance between the science and the romance elements, each playing an integral and important part without overshadowing the other. Making the nerd and the hopeless romantic in me equally happy. Earth has become a protectorate planet of the alien coalition. To receive protectorate status, earth agreed to allow the non-invasive year long study of humans to see if it can be determined if and why they can mate and breed with other alien species. Vigo is a kreecharma and the scientist in charge of the subspace mating process. They hope to determine a scientific way to match mates or in his case turn off mating. His race is intellectual and believes mating, breeding, and hunting is primitive and should be avoided. Jeannie is an alien loving human. She joined the experiment specifically because she wanted to mate with an alien. She is a fiery redhead who is loud and enthusiastic and sometimes too much for people. Vigo happens to have the exact physical traits that she would want in an alien. He agrees to allow her to try to seduce him while he scans her in subspace to help his research. The more time they spend together the deeper their connection becomes but in addition to dealing with the differences in their species, they both have some baggage to unpack and some life course correction to contemplate before they get to their HEA. The story was well written and included engaging dialogue, good works building, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline as shown in sweet moments, spicy scenes, alien physiology and cultures, painful pasts, political machinations, bad guys, science, revelations, plot twists, big feels, and laughs. I am sorry to see the end of this series. 4.5 stars.
DNF. This book had more of the problems that two other of this author's books had: misspellings and typos when it came to certain phrases. For example, they wrote 'bottle of the barrel' when it's supposed to be 'bottom of the barrel'; or 'saddle up to' when it's supposed to be 'sidle up to'. These mistakes became very annoying, very quickly. It also didn't help that the FMC of this book just wasn't my cup of tea.
I would be willing to give this author another chance if they improve their editing practices.
You know what, heck yes. I think this was wonderfully written. There was a few beautifully written paragraphs about earth's justice system that had me air pumping. It made me laugh, it made me tear up, it made me say HECK YEAH aloud.... A+ on this one man. I actually read the whole series in a few days and it did not disappoint. Talia has a wonderful way of storytelling that loops in sexy spice that we all are here for.
Amazing! 4.7 stars! I don’t know why I waited so long to read, but when I tell you I LOVED Vigo and Jeanie!!! Omg I loved seeing their story unfold and how they interacted! So good! I’m so glad I found this author on a whim!!
Damn this FMC was one big weirdo. Her personality was so childish and not funny at all, very desperate. Hated the way she pushed his boundaries and practically forced the situation on him. MMC definitely didn’t like her as much idc 🤦🏾♀️
FMC- Lacks boundaries and is kind of annoying but very fair (with such a lack of boundires I think its balanced well byt her giving her full consent always)
MC-Smart, stoic, stubborn-ill hurt her to keep her safe
Gah, I love a good grumpy/sunshine story, and Vigo and Jeanie embody that! Jeanie is exactly what Vigo needed to loosen him up and melt his cold heart. Also, thank you to the author for always giving us epilogues that show us what the future for the characters looks like!
The fmc isn't really doing it for me. I guess because her obsession with alien dicks is more annoying than Hattie from Mates of the Domini, at least Hattie had more personality than this...
I really liked this book. She is sunshine and he is grumpy. In the earlier books she asked out every male alien she met. None were interested in her.
The hero is furry, has Sabre tooth tiger teeth, a tail, claws, and growls.
I took off 1 star because she kept going places she knew she wasn't supposed to. She snuck into the hero's lab to proposition him. She snuck into other places knowing she was violating the treaty on advanced technology. It rubbed me the wrong way.
