But when the messages start again, I decide to finally confide in the five men that I love. Knowing who's behind them, nearly starts a war in Phoenix. This series needs to be revamped. The story itself is good!

If you're looking for more spice in your book, you'll be getting it with "Letters to the Lost." For somewhat obvious reasons, we didn't get much in the first book, but as Autumn begins to heal more, she opens up more to the guys and begins getting intimate with them. It actually gets pretty frequent. Enough so that I started skipping the scenes, personally. So if you enjoy books with more "physical connection," you'll be happy to get into book two of this series.

While the writing still isn't at the level I'd expect or like to see for a published book, it's a bit better than the first one. Sentences are still cut off too early in many places. Others run on, and there are other little issues that her editor really should have fixed for the author. I hope she didn't pay them much because they did a pretty terrible job.
Since the first book, I've questioned the consistency of some things (like the time frame from when she went missing to when Chloe was born. Autumn went missing around age 9-10, yet Charlie took her innocence around age 10, as per the first book. But Chloe was only 4 when she died, making Autumn 13-14 years old when she was born. In the flashback to Chloe's birth, Autumn sounded really young, and it seemed like Charlie hadn't gone too far with her yet? There's some other small things that seem to mess up the timeline as well). Seriously, if she decides to revamp these books, they would be fantastic.

Besides all of this, the story itself is pretty good. It's what kept me going. I felt it starting to lull a bit towards the end, but it picked up fast at the end to give us a pretty great cliffhanger. On to book #3!

I have never written a review before so I’ll try my best.

I honestly loved this book there is so much raw emotions that N.E. Stevenson has beautifully portrayed in this book and also her first. She kept it true and real to how hard it is to continue moving on after trauma new and old. She portrays Autumn amazingly on how it’s not a one thing fix. Showing that healing can be long and difficult but with the right people around you can help you flourish and live again.

Autumn's men are truly amazing! They are understanding and oh so supportive. Also hot as hell! Let’s just say I had to stop and cool myself down every now and again 🥵. You will really get to know her men a lot better and they show their true character. I love her men so much!

I don’t think I have hated a character more than fricken Jane and another character I shall not name because spoilers but damn I loath them. Stevenson really knows how to make you hate someone.

I can’t applaud Stevenson enough for making such an amazing and authentic book. Also I hate you for leaving me hanging so much! I’m not sure if I can ever forgive you for that cliffhanger and the plot twist!

Not a lot happens in this one, and yet so much happens. In Letters to the Lost Autumn is her trauma and grief over Chlo. It's not an uphill climb either, there's ups and downs. Set backs and leaps forward.

But it's not just Autumn. Those around her experience their own trauma just watching her hurt but unable to slay the demons in her head.

Not just her guys, either. Her dad becomes a bit of a dick. Unable to Reconcile the real version of Autumn that is suffering with the one he dreamed she'd be. He throws himself into finding Jane and her stalker, neglecting Autumn in the process.

Can't wait for book 3 and for that stalker to get what's coming to him because we all know Dom (and more importantly, Autumn) are gonna rip him to shreds.

So many up and downs. So emotional

I really loved it except the part how you made ger dad. I hated the writer do that to him. He is a good person and I dont know why she would wrote him like that. Nobody would just walk away if they been searching for so long. Also making her friend do that to save someone is over the top she worked for the mafia and knew the guys as well and was with her brother. Your telling me she couldn't tell anyone. I dont believe it. Regardless. I really hate how the made the dad. Bren the brother had no issues with his father this whole time and all a sudden secrets after secrets it doesn't make sense. They were fine before she was found and even after. Shebwas a loving father then the writers makes him out to be despicable in regards to went down as a child. Not only that him trying to say you have to understand shebwould this or that. No if you have multi people saying Jane was terrible you would or a normal person would believe it. And he did. Doesn't make sense to make him like that actually like him. Maybe the writers wanted to make it so they separate him and her so they won't work for him anymore and they all get a place. It's stupid but idk. I'm confused as to why they went down this road to make him that way and with Bren when there was no issue before. Ok apart from that I loved the story so far. The feel ups and down are so on point. This poor girl needs to being abused. My heart hurts for her. I love the guys but I'm hoping her dad is the one to rescue her. Cause I really dislike how they wrote him in this book.

fantastic

You will need to read Whispers of Salvation before this book to understand what Autumn is going through. This girl is stronger than me. Autumn is still depressed from the loss of Chlo and is having a terrible time letting go. Autumn goes to six weeks of therapy but she needs more to help her. On top of that Jane and Charlie keep popping up and screwing with her mind. Autumn has her five guys and they love her so much and do so many sweet things for her. Nanook (rescue dog)has decided to be her therapy dog that helps her when she is spiraling. This was a wonderful written story that you will need to have Kleenex close by. Unfortunately for us the author added a twist no one was expecting and the story ends in a cliffhanger.

I've been dying for this installment since the first, and then put it off in a panick knowing there's going to be a third and not knowing if I'd survive the cliffhanger.

Spoiler....I'm not surviving the cliff hanger!

This book had just as much raw emotion as the first, and I think Ms Stevenson does mental health the credit it deserves in how she portrays it. Showing its not linear, but instead all over the place. It's trying to find a good point in the bad, and pushing until there are more good than bad.
I also love the arrival of Parzival, and I love how Nannook has turned into a giant Teddy like most huskies 😍 I cant wait for the next one, praying its the final but also not wanting their stories to end 🖤

8/10 recommend

So I like this series, can’t wait till book 3 comes out. I like that it’s multiple pov. I’m on the fence if I actually like the fact that this is a more realistic view of trauma and grief than most works of fiction…I usually like a story that moves past some of that sad stuff faster and we watch the fmc develop into a kick butt character. This book contains a personal trigger,I abhor spanking the fmc and having a submissive fmc in general or the infantalizing of the fmc all these things make me extremely uncomfortable so that would be why this isn’t a 5 ⭐️ for me. I hope in book 3 she can become the strong fmc and she doesn’t spend the whole book falling apart again. I did love the scene where she doms Tobias…hope to see more of that.

This book was brilliant, the way it deals with mental health and recovery is done really well. I also love that the romance aspect is so subtle, it's there and the relationship she has with her men is important but it is by no means, THE most Important. The sex scenes are also pretty beautiful, in the sense that everyone of her men need and enjoy something different and she embraces that. The sub/dom representation is done in a really good way. There are also some funny moments and I love the dogs, pets in a book always has me! This book is beautifully written. I'm also really glad I'm not reading in real release times because the cliffhangers would have me going crazy if I had to wait. I can't believe she has been taken and by the worst monster yet!

I'm going to run out of Kleenex

I like the pacing of this series. It makes it all the more believable. This is a journey not a marathon, things aren't just being chucked in there for shock value like some books.

My heart broke right along with her, I laughed and cried. Her dad though.... Didn't expect much from a Don but I just didn't expect him to be so cold and distant. I commend the author on writing a book so compelling.

Dominic of course is my favourite, I always have a soft spot for the psycho in the group.

Does need editing though but the issues don't detract from the storyline.

Okay deep breath, book 3 here I come.

The writing was a little better than the first book but it still needs some major attention. The author is obviously from the UK and she has this story taking place in Arizona. Why do writers feel the need to write about the US? There are many lovely places in the UK and the way the author speaks would make sense.

There is a lot of inconsistencies throughout this book but I’m going to leave it at that. I’ll admit that I am going to continue on with the 3rd book in the series because I want to know what happens with Charlie.

holy fudge buckets!!

That’s a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers.
Let me just say, this is more of a 4.5 star read. That being said, the relationship between Autumn and her men has grown. She needs them all in different ways. They help her as much as she helps them.
I could never choose between the 5, not even the best friend from childhood. Atlas is everything but my heart aches for Dominic.
Can’t wait to read the next book and see what happens next.

I have to say! My favorite scene is the basement scene! I was giggling the whole time. Dom is my favorite character and it showed his true colors! My little unhinged puppy! 🥰 Having one of the first copies of this book is both amazing and horrible because I’m dying for book three already. I will forever read anything by N.E. Stevenson for the rest of my life! Her writing! Uggh! I might cum! 🤤🫠

This book was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time - reading the FMC's journey to healing was so raw and authentic. The overall writing was good, especially for such a new author, but could benefit from a more thorough proofread. This book hooks you and keeps you emotionally invested, which is something I love about this author.

Mental health

I really wanted to love this story, the first one really had me in tears especially since the author included music titles to listen to a particular chapters, but I couldn’t get into for some reason probably a me thing not a writing problem. I will say I didn’t really like the attitude of the MFC only because she easily switched from spoiled/can manipulate people around her to she’s had a hard life and can’t function. Other than that it was an okay book.

flew through this one pretty quick, still lots of grammatical errors but not as many as the first. The story kinda goes up and down over the same thing, but I like it cause it's a true portrayal of grief and how there's no "one way" to go through it. The spice definitely goes up a bunch of notches in this book two, one of the scenes didn't really fit but thats ok. I'm also confused because didn't she already know her dad knew about everything? That scene had me a little lost.

Wow the plot!

So while this book continues to have editing issues, the storyline is solid. So many betrayals! Unlike so many similar stories, you see Autumn genuinely struggle with her mental health and have to face those battles daily, weekly. You kind of know where the cliffie is headed, but then you are blindsided by the whole betrayed her....I was honestly shook.

Man. Autumns life is never easy. The sorrow she feels at the end of the last book is all encompassing. And there’s a lot of ups and downs in this book. The secrets all get revealed and she faces one demon from her past.
I love the character growth in her relationships with the guys.
I do have to add a point to my kidnapping tally

I am in love with this series. N.E Stevenson knows how to break my heart and put it back together just to break it again. The way these boys love and care for Autumn is everything. I can’t wait for the last book. I’m sure there will be lots of tears.

Oh snap this was a roller coaster. I find her dad unforgivable, I liked him in the beginning at the first book, but that is way ruined. And I feel so bad about the turn this book has taken, and I cannot wait to jump into third.

The writing was a TAD better in this book.
It should be looked over by another editor but you can tell the difference between one and two.

I still like the storyline and look forward to the last book.

I love Dominic

DNF. I realize I don’t like this series it’s to redundant and find myself being bored. It’s a short book that feels so long because it’s that boring and drawn out. This could’ve been a decent standalone but as it is I am done.

This book was a bit repetitive of the first. I do like the characters and the banter especially when all the guys are together. However I felt the story didn’t really progress just re did until the last couple chapters. I’m curious to see how the next book unfolds.

I know healing from abuse isn't linear but I fear we're just moving in circles. Because at some point we're gotta move forward no? Anyways, as much as I'm trying to enjoy this book...the writing style is really taking me out of the story. Again, I think this series could benefit from another
