I love Amir and I love his books. I listen to him frequently also. I love going through the book chapter by chapter with him. It’s like he is sitting right there with you. I have listened to him often enough, I hear the book in his voice. He makes things so simple and I appreciate that in any book I read about the Bible but especially so in books about these hard to read at times books such as Revelation and Daniel. I hope he keeps going and does Ezekiel and Isaiah also (or the whole Bible). He also has a good since of humor which makes it an enjoyable read and not drudgery. We are meant to enjoy the Bible. If he or his team reads this review please know you have taught us so much and give us so much hope. Know that we pray for you and your family and team at Behold Israel regularly.

I zoomed through this book I found while at a Barnes & Noble during vacation (and took pictures to study later lol)

It's a great overview of Daniel, presented in a digestible format. It reads like if a pastor were to sit next to you and explain the stories and themes of the book, even the difficult chapters.

Another great book by Amir.

This book did an amazing job of explaining the book of Daniel and tying Revelation together. A great read. Amir explained it in a way that I could understand. His knowledge of history and the Jewish nation himself being a Jew helped me to see things more clearly. A great read and study.

This is an excellent study of Daniel. The first 120 pages relates the story of Daniel's life in Babylon and all of the adventures he lived through there in his first 80 years. His faith shines through his service to three kings in Babylon. God used him in many mighty ways. I love those stories, and Amir tells them in very colorful, informative and even humorous ways. Although I'm very familiar with those stories, I still learned some things that were inciteful. But I really bought the book for the prophecy. Beginning at chapter 7 on page 131 of this 273 page book, we begin a study of the things that God told Daniel by way of His messenger angel. Prophecy that was in the future for Daniel and in the past for us is explained and is so detailed and proven by history that we are amazed and awed and can see how God is so rightly "proven" by His track record in prophecy. It's truly beautiful! Then, we're told what things are still to happen in OUR future -- even things that we have seen happen and happening in our own day and time. With the future events that were given to Daniel being more than a bit hard to understand, it's so helpful to have a guide like Amir Tsarfadi to explain these visions. He writes with not only authority and knowledge, but also humor and colorful descriptions -- oh, and He writes with a lovely spiritual depth because He is a child of God who loves, honors, serves and praises God almighty!

This was an excellent exposition of the book of Daniel, and Amir aligns it with the book of Revelation throughout, which gives all the more clarity and portrays an amazing picture of what is to come.

How can I only give this book five stars? I would give it 1, 000 stars if I could. Amir has away away of taking the most difficult Bible passages and making them easy enough for this third grade teacher to understand, so do not be afraid to dig in.
First of all, if you are not saved and reading this, please recognize need of a Savior, and God will save you. He is so very clear in scripture that the choices we make in this life to accept or reject Him will determine our consequences in the future.
Secondly, continue to pray for those that you know who are not saved, knowing that God's desire is for all to know Him.
In Amir's final words in DANIEL: SO HOLD ON TO YOUR HOPE MY FRIEND. TRUST IN THE LORD. DON'T LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS TAKING PLACE IN THIS WORLD. IN ALL YOUR WAYS, LIVE FOR HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, KNOWING THAT WHEN THE TIME COMES, HE WILL OPEN THAT PATH STRAIGHT INTO HIS PRESENCE.

Now, on to Revelation!

The original book about Daniel is found in the Old Testament of the Bible. It’s an autobiographical book of the long life of a genuine hero of faith. When the ancient kingdom of Judah fell, Daniel was taken captive to serve in pagan Babylon. Daniel suffered greatly as this occurred, but served his masters with great competence. Even so, Daniel would not compromise his faith in the God of Israel. God empowered Daniel to interpret dreams of the kings and providing Daniel with visions of future events that would re-shape the world. Most of the prophecies recorded by Daniel have already been fulfilled, but there are several important ones that remain open, ones that dovetail with the prophecies recorded in the Bible’s book of Revelation.

I have read and enjoyed other books by Amir Tsarfati (and Dr. Rick Yohn, his co-author on this and some others), so I pre-ordered this one with high expectations. As a student and writer about Bible end times prophecy, I was well aware of Daniel’s prophesies regarding the end times, but looked forward to seeing Amir dig into the subject.

As I hoped, Amir describes the events in Daniel’s life and the prophecies. He connects them to other Bible verses (which he often quotes in the text). His writing style is very friendly and clear. He uses contemporary events and appropriate humor to keep the connection with the reader. The book explains how the end times prophecies of Daniel connect to actual events that were in his future, but our past, and to the still-coming events of the Tribulation and thereafter, which the apostle John recorded in Revelation. In “Discovering Daniel,” Amir also provides encouragement to readers and thoughts on how the messages of Daniel applies to our lives- it lives up to its sub-title, “Finding Our Hope in God’s Prophetic Plan Amid Global Chaos.”

Amir dedicates the book to God and to his family. He is a Jewish Christian who lives in Israel and who previously served in the Israeli Defense Forces. The book was published in early 2024. Appropriately, his dedication also addresses the sorrow and pain from the October 7, 2023 terror attack; he reminds readers that in Daniel (and elsewhere in the Bible), God has set forth His plan for Israel. Spoiler alert: God wins.

I strongly recommend “Discovering Daniel.” It is a great companion to Tsarfati’s bestselling book “Revealing Revelation” (which I also recommend).

Does the job if the job is doing a thorough presentation and explanation of the chapters of Daniel (excluding apocrypha). I initially didn’t like the conversational style (like, seriously, the author sets up conversations throughout the book), but I think it was actually nice in the latter chapters since the prophecy/vision stuff is so opaque. I’ll say, political commentary matters in this book, specifically the politics of 6th through like 2nd century BC eastern Mediterranean. Where I’m put off a bit by are the America-interjections. Easy enough to read past though.

I've been increasingly disappointed with the prophetic books put out by Tsarfati. He says nothing new, adds nothing new, contributes nothing new to the understanding of these books. While I wouldn't say he's stolen from other works on the same topics, other layman commentaries say what he says with more understanding and study. With the exceptions of his anecdotes, I do not recommend this commentary, not even to the Dispensationalists or premillennialists he writes for.

I learned soooo much about Daniel. Even things that I had pictured in my head from hearing about his story as a young girl, were not necessarily accurate. How old do you think Daniel was when he was thrown into the lions den? I won’t tell you but I guarantee your guess is wrong. The first half of the book dissected all of the chapters of Daniel. The second have of the book discussed Daniel’s visions and prophesies (whether these prophesies had already taken place or had not yet been fulfilled). There was great correlation between the book of Daniel and Revelation. This was a great book and highly recommend.

I did not finish this book. The author's strong religious and political views about Israel are front and center, not theology and historical context. I gave it 30 minutes and it did not improve, I searched online and found others agreeing that this is more of sensationalist speculation than a biblical commentary on the book of Daniel, and that it does not improve.

Just like many of Amir's books this book has proved insightful. I am grateful to him and Rick Yohn. This was an easy to read and easy to understand book.

I appreciated the fact that Amir laid out this was a Historical-Grammatical Interpretation or literal interpretation of Daniel. It was good that it had the Dispensational Pre-Trib Premillennial view in mind which make the most sense and allows the scripture to interpret scripture rather than a theological position like that of John Lennox's book on Daniel.

This was good book and would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a thorough understanding of end times and truth.

Really good. I would read other books by this author. It really gives a lot of insight into the book of Daniel and now I won't look at that book of the Bible the same way ever again.

I'll be completely honest, this book disappointed me. I've followed Amir's ministry 'Behold Israel' for awhile, read his other book 'Revealing Revelation' and read devotionals by him and this book came as a surprise, but not in a good way.

To me it read like every other generic Christian topical study on the shelves out there today. Focusing on being conversational, likeable, relating too many things to every day life and quite frankly first world problems to be relevant. It's watered down gospel and I'm just not used to that style from Amir. He's normally more biblically powerful, calling out the sinful, speaking to the hearts of men, direct and engaging but still with a kind word and a heart focused on Christ that is evident in his writing. This book did not have that, it didn't seem to have much direction at all.

The first half and second don't flow well into one another and the tagline for the book doesn't summarize well what's contained within. The first half is at best a lukewarm topical study on Daniel and the second half I would consider to be a lighter version of Amir's other book 'Revealing Revelation'. If you want end times study, just go read that book, no need to read the second half of this one. This book does not deliver on being about hope in the midst of global chaos and the end times. It has shout outs to worsening sinfulness, to the importance of Israel, to the fact that our hope as Christians needs to be grounded in Christ through faith. All of these are of course important but I feel don't quite meet the promise of a deeper and more comprehensive look into Daniel and how it relates to the end times and how we're meant to have hope now if we're currently in the last days.

I don't like saying anything negative about Amir's work as I truly believe his ministry is wonderful. His Telegram has taught me so much about Israel, God's plan for his people and I've loved his other writings, I simply cannot get past this book being so watered down spiritually to me. I'm a big believer that you don't need to dumb down Scripture to make it "accessible" to people. Jesus never watered down his message so I don't think we as Christians should either. God believed everyone was smart enough to grasp what he let the disciples write down in Scripture without it being simplified or over-explained.

I hope that although this book was not for me it is still able to reach people regarding the end times and leading them to a better understanding of what Scripture says about God's plan. I also pray that people will look at Amir's other works, including his ministry 'Behold Israel' and book 'Revealing Revelation' as for me that was an incredible work on end times and well worth the read.

Wow! There are few detailed accounts on the Book of Daniel and its relation to the end of times. Amir has taken it chapter by chapter and an in depth look to give background info and help with a better understanding of this Book.

Excellent book if you are studying the end times. The books of Daniel and Revelation are tied together and a in-depth study of both are crucial to understanding the end times to come. I have now finished my own in-depth study of both. I love Amir's books because along with his solid knowledge from an Israeli viewpoint, he also has a great sense of humor. :D

Excellent teaching on the book of Daniel. What I love about Amir Tsarfati's teaching is his uncompromising attention to detail and context. I believe he is a solidly accurate teacher and yet he writes in a very conversational tone with a little humor dotted in from time to time.

Amir is a fantastic author, speaker, and Bible teacher! He has incredible knowledge of Scripture and knows how to apply it correctly. I read this in audio format even though I have the written copy because Amir is so engaging as a storyteller. He truly helps you understand the book of Daniel if you don’t understand it. Please read this book. I highly recommend it!!!

This was recommended to me by a family member, but I'm afraid I wasn't as enthralled as he was. The first half of the book is basically the story of Daniel's life, familiar to anyone who went to Sunday School with a few added details usually left out of the children's versions. Nothing really new, nothing really impactful. The second half is a discussion of Daniel's prophesies that came later in his life. Tsarfati's interpretations are interesting, and he certainly believes he has the only true interpretation of many portions of Daniel, but some of it just didn't fit with the theology that is more familiar to me.

While doing some outside reading along with this book, I came across the most clear end of the story..."jesus wins." Tsarfati doesn't disagree with that, but I'm not as convinced in the details.

Amazing

This is one of the best books I have ever read for clarifying end times prophecy. And I believe that they really nailed it. It's written in such a way as to give the reader real confidence in their reasoning because they constantly resort to the word of God to support their conclusions. Trust the Lord to use his chosen people to bless anyone willing to read to give the world such a beautiful tour of the book of Daniel. A man the Bible says was much beloved by God. Thank you Amir and Rick for continuing to be a blessing to the whole world.
