Séamus O’Leprechaun retells Jane Austen's famous novel using the ancient and honourable artform of the limerick! The classics will never be the same again...
If you are a fan of Austen's Pride and Prejudice, and enjoy reading Limericks Then pick up this book, And take a look, You won't be disappointed, a bit!
Checking out some freebie kindle books the other day I stumbled across this little gem. Laugh!? I nearly cried with laughter. I had to read the whole book out loud to myself straight away and have been gleefully inflicting it on friends and family since. Seamus O'Leprachaun ( a pen-name that probably tells you everything you need to know about the author) has clearly had a great deal of fun creating one limerick for every chapter of Pride and Prejudice and with one or two exceptions has managed to maintain vibrant rhymes and excellent scansion throughout. This is a book that is deceptively simple to read and enjoy but when you think about the challenge of actually creating such a book clearly it has taken a lot of skill. And he has written 2 more!! Can't wait to get my hands on these... Tom Sawyer and Around the World in Eighty Days. A great book to give to a bibliophile!
Talk about not your normal rhyming. I enjoyed reading this book and i loved how it was retold in a different way and version. A must read for any and all book lovers everywhere.
4.5* My rule - you make me cry or laugh out loud or snort (so ladylike!) and you get a 4+ star rating. You make me do that more than once at least a 4.5*. You make me weep or scare my dog because I'm laughing so much it's a 5*. There were a few chapters that were a bit forced, but mostly this was brilliant.
