About the author

Rob Scotton is the bestselling author and illustrator of "Russell the Sheep," and "Russell and the Lost Treasure." His latest book, "Splat the Cat" is the story of a young cat facing all the wonders and worries of his first day at cat school. Rob's work can also be found on greeting cards, ceramics, textiles, prints, stationery, and glassware. An honors graduate of Leicester Polytechnic, Rob now lives in Rutland, England, with his wife, Liz, who is also an artist.

Ši knygelė – tai pirmoji mūsų pažintis su labai simpatišku katinėliu, vardu Juodis. Nors ji skirta jau pradedantiems skaityti, nes tekstas spausdintas didžiosiomis raidėmis, bet istoriją pagal iliustracijas lengva suprasti ir mažesniems vaikams. Be to, mažoms rankytėms patinka vartyti įklijuotus atvartėlius, po kuriais slepiasi kas nors smagaus.

Pats Juodis toks mielas ir pūkuotas, kad norisi jį pamyluoti. O „Žiemos staigmena” – trumpas ir smagus pasakojimas apie katinėlio ir jo draugo peliuko žiemos pramogas lauke. Manau, kad patiks visiems mylintiems katinus, žiemą ir, žinoma, norintiems susipažinti su skaitymu. Labai norėjome dar nusipirkti knygelę apie katinėlį ir ledus, tačiau visas tiražas jau išparduotas. O visą katinėlio Juodžio seriją sudaro septynios knygelės.

P.S. Beje, girdėjome, kad leidykla planuoja perleisti ir kitas Katinėlio Juodžio serijos knygeles.

Labai smagi, įdomiai susegioti puslapiai, vaikams lbai įdomu patiems vartyti ir žiurėti kas po jais, neįprastas knygos stilius ir žiemiška graži istorija :)

This is a great book that I read to a child I was babysitting. it was fitting because we have a huge snowstorm and he was super engaged and asked a lot of questions.

Splat the cat and the snowy day surprise is a great book. In the story a cat and his friend are super excited to play in the snow. They are going to go sledding and build cat snowman. This would be a fun book for children ages four to eight.

This is perhaps the funniest Splat the Cat book I have read so far. I was definitely giggling with this one, I wouldn't recommend it when it is intense quiet time for your little readers or at least give them a little leeway when they started laughing aloud. It's a snow day for Splat, Seymour and Spike and there is going to be quite the snow cat made! This is an 8x8" paperback with full page lift the flaps to make it quite interactive.

A very silly children's book! Perfect for a winter time read! Your kids will afterwards want to go outside and enjoy the snow! Splat and Seymour have such an awesome snow day adventure! The open the flaps will keep all the youngsters paying close attention to what happens next!

Splat the cat and Seymour attempt to make the best snowcat ever. Spike tries to ruin it, and ends up helping make the best snowcat. A funny end.
