Damn, didn't expect it to get so dark in the first chapter already.
But I love it.
Also, finally an isekai where the protagonist isn't overpowered. She doesn't even have powers, as she refused it when the goddess of this world offered it to her. An anti-hero reincarnated into a fantasy/DnD world, who made it her job to protect the weak, together with a giant, who's been an outsider in her clan.
Love the disability rep. Hinako, the protagonist, has only one arm, but it's not much of a disability for her. Alice, the giant, could have dwarfism. But while they're seen as weak in their "clans", they're much more powerful than you think and together they form an unstoppable team.
A lot of background characters also have disabilities (amputations mostly), but it's not highlighted as special. It's simply there. A more realistic portrayal of the real world than slice of life Mangas that play in our world.
The art is amazing. I especially love the way shadows or dark powers/magic are drawn. Horror but aesthetically. Psycho/Yandere vibes.
The bonus chapter at the end surely twisted things around a bit... I wonder where the author will take it.
Gotta love the trope lovers to enemies though. Will they become lovers again or revenge each other, again and again? Only way to find out.

Immediate entry into my favorites list, I love dark fantasy yuri and this just hits every mark. I love how unhinged they are about each other, can’t wait for the next physical release!

Sister and Giant is a dark, edgy, fantasy isekai that leans on trope subversion and exaggerated characterization. Somehow it works.
There are monsters, corrupt church soldiers, magic, sci-fi-esque "ancient" weapons, but what I felt was unique and fresh was the way the story plays on family and betrayal. The manga juxtaposes present and past smoothly to show who the characters really are behind the professional adventurers they act as in the present.
Volume 1 does a great job of establishing the main characters and their motivations, which appear to be the driving force in the story. It makes me feel like I know exactly what kind of journey I am signing up for. I am curious to see how volume 2 will build on the concept.

I absolutely love this premise and its very dark tones. Very different for the genre.

Holy crap this was way more grim and dark than I had expected. TW: Rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, tons of human bits flying around or going to ashes, murder, suicide, children/teens/adults getting mutilated til the point of death by monsters (and the villagers don't care), human trafficking/plans for that. I could go on. I had expected this one to be about someone iseka-ing and becoming besties with a giant. I mean look at the title, look at the cover. And then it got super dark. Our MC hasn't had the best life before doing what she did to herself and her "sister", we find out the "sister" has been exploiting her and doing stuff to her without much consent. In this life well, she is missing an arm, she is an otherworlder so she has a target (especially since she apparently choose to go without a cheat), there are monsters everywhere. Did I mention she is just dead inside for most of the volume? And then there is the giantess who seemingly looks happy and strong (and kicks butt so many times) but she has such a depressing/sad/dark/grim backstory that I was just reeling.
That scene when our MC (or the otherworlder) is going shopping, HOLY HELL. Especially the end of it.
But I also couldn't stop reading despite this going way dark. I need to know why our Giantess is able to use that power. I am dreading the come of the "sister" as she is seriously fucked up, but I am also curious how things will go and who will survive. Plus, I am also curious to why otherworlders keep getting isekai-ed to this world specifically and if there is a reason.
