Hannah Murphy figured attending the annual police picnic with Ben would be the safest event in town. After all, what could possibly go wrong at an official department event?
When a narcotics detective is murdered in broad daylight, Hannah and Ben are tossed headlong into an investigation that has more twists and turns than a mountain road.
Join Hannah, Razzy and the boys as they try to unravel this bizarre case before Ben becomes the next target
So...it's sometimes a risk for me to put down a book series midway through--that risk being that I'll never pick it up again--but in THIS case, it was worth it, as I really think that I just needed to step away from it for a while after eight books straight, in order to really appreciate it moving forward.
Boy oh boy, am I GLAD that I returned! ____________________________________
This time around, things hit rather close to home as a police officer has been murdered, and at a police picnic no less! Uh oh! Ben's assigned to the case, of course, which means that Hannah & co. (the cats) also help out.
Again, without getting into spoiler territory, the book moves at a fast pace and leaves us with a lot of suspects and angles to sort through, ultimately culminating in what's QUITE the dramatic climax, with both Hannah and Ben in danger!
Anyway, all in all, it was a lovely read and I'm glad that I got back into the series! Hannah x Ben are so cute together, and of course Razzy-Gus-Rudy are the dream team in terms of cat trios!
Back with Razzy, Gus and Rudy, 3 cats who have 2 humans Hannah and Ben who can understand them. Hannah is a crime reporter for a local paper and Ben is a Police Detective.
When Hannah discovers a body at the annual police picnic, the team go into action. To find the murderer.
I love the snarky comments the cats make, especially Razzy cat. This is a great series, full of humour and laughter as well as solving crimes.
The books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.
I cannot say enough about this series. I love the characters. I love the cats. They are warm and endearing. Hannah and friends are great. Smart and strong. Great lead! The mysteries are interesting and compelling. I want to move here and be friends with them. Keep up the great work!
Each and every one of these books in this series is phenomenal! I absolutely love the cats; Razzy, Gus and Rudy. I wish I could talk to my cat and understand what she's saying! The story lines are intense and the twists and turns always keep me thinking. I sincerely hope this series will continue on. It's one of my most favorites!!!!
Fun series that is well written. Surprisingly, there were a few editing mistakes early in the book, but not noted later. The mysteries are usually well developed and not so very obvious from the beginning. I am enjoying seeing the growth with all the characters and how the cats have really started to make a place in the solutions.
After reading about Millie the cat in one of the author’s newest series, I realized I really missed Razzy, Gus and little Rudy, so I made sure I borrowed the next book that I needed to read from KU. It definitely didn’t disappoint! The cats as always came through to help out the humans along with another town’s police chief. The showdown was quick and effective and the ending was really cute!
Nicely written, good mystery, adorable cats each with their own personality. A pleasure to read. My only complaint: too long a wait for the next book in the series. I highly recommend this series.
I love all the Razzy Cat Mysteries. I already have a picture of the main characters in my mind. The writer keeps the momentum going enough to where it never gets boring. Suddenly there's a twist, and I'm going wait? what? Then it all comes together. keep 'em coming.
