Yet another cozy mystery filled with cozy cat shenanigans, but this time....well, the answer to the crime basically fell into their laps, so it felt like less "sleuthing" was involved, and therefore it was more of a cute-cat-time mystery.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, as this time around I was in the mood for a lighter read, but this is definitely one of the lesser books of this series, as while the setting, romance, and cat bonding is all top tier, the mystery itself was lacking any...pizazz.

Fantastic feline cozies!!

I love these books. I love the main characters. I love the cats. The mysteries are interesting. The cats help alleviate some of the tension. I love the protective nature of Gus and the energy of Rudy. I love Razzy and wish I could talk to my cats. I love the great friends she has. The only thing I want to change is to have more of them! This is my favorite series.

Love this series.

This series is the coziest of cozy mysteries. There are the humans, Hannah, a reporter, and Ben, a homicide detective. And there are the cats, Razzy and Rudy, Rag Dolls, and Gus, a Maine Coon. Hannah and Ben are able to talk to and understand everything the cats say (never mind the reason, just go with it). Between the 5 of them, they solve murders. The murders are not real gory, but they are intriguing, (although I'm not interested in seeing how fast I can figure out the killer or the reason why). I am more interested in the give and take between humans and cats. The relationships are loving and gentle and they make me feel happy. Reading this series is like sitting in my comfortable recliner, sipping on a nice cup of hot chocolate. This series may not be Agatha Christie, but they do leave me feeling happy. I like that and I'll keep coming back for more. And really, who doesn't love talking cats?

The Chaos at the Campground (A Razzy Cat Cozy Mystery # 10) — Courtney McFarlin (18 chapters) August 25-26, Dec. 2, 2022

This is the second book that I read in August and never got around to reviewing. Because the plot didn’t come to me I re-read it. No problem; these stories and quick and lively reads.

The gang tries to have another holiday, but a body disrupts it again. This time, Ben discovers the body but it’s the cats that disagree with the sheriff’s assessment and so Hannah and Ben race to find the killer before their vacation ends.

It was worth reading twice in less than six months. This series always perks me up.

Some editing issues knocked a star off. Still, a very solid read.

Four stars.

Every time I read one of these books, I love those three cats even more than ever! They’re so cute and funny! And Gus comes up with the most profound thoughts for a cat who normally doesn’t say a whole lot. The cats were excited to be helping Hannah and Ben sleuth out what they thought was a murder case.

Of course only our friends in this series would come across a body when they were supposed to be vacationing. I can just hear Hannah possibly saying, “Anything’s better than having to deal with Vinnie!” LOL. I never really figured out whodunit but wasn’t surprised at the reveal which was pretty peaceful and just before our little family’s vacation was ready to come to an end. Can’t wait to see what happens next which sounds like it’ll be Ashley and Dan’s wedding.

Hannsh and Ben, along with their 3 cats Razzy, Gus and Rudy, are off on their holiday to a campground, to fill their days with hikes, good food and relaxation. The cats aren't ordinary cats, Hannah and Ben can understand them!

When Ben discovers a body he's convinced it's not the mountain lion attack which the local police Detectives declare, so he, Hannah and the cats do what they do best, they work together to solve the case.

I really enjoy reading these books, full of snarky comments by the cats. The books are standalone stories but the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

I liked the setting in this one, but I missed the regulars—Anastasia and Ashley. Vinnie? Not so much! It's too bad Hannah and Ben didn't get much time to enjoy the view. I'd really be happy to read about an adventure with them and the cats that didn't involve a murder. I'm trying to pace myself so I don't get caught up to the point that I have to wait months for the next book to become available. I like the author's other series, but this one is my favorite!

Wow! Another great read. Once you read this story, you’ll want to run out and get your own felines.
Gus is insightful, Rudy is full of energy, and Razzy is ready to defend her humans! Murderers don’t stand a chance against them! Enjoy these wonderful personalities as they sleuth their way to justice!

I'm so addicted to this series!

This is an awesome series! Razzy, Gus, and Rudy are the best feline detectives! I love all the story lines in each book. I'm hoping this Razzy mystery series will continue for quite awhile!!! From the first page of the first book I fell in love with the cats and main characters of this series. Don't know what I would do without it!!!!

Hannah, Ben and the cats spend 6 days in a cabin in the woods. As per custom, they stumble over a dead body in the woods on their first day and spend the rest of their holiday trying to find the killer. The local cop thinks the victim was killed by a mountain lion, in spite of what the coroner says.

I almost wish they had the opportunity to take a break without finding a dead body! It was fun but seemed a bit forced. Not much background or investigation for this one. It was a very quick read. The mystery was not hard to guess, and the murderer gave themselves up. A few hints that there might be quite a few changes for everyone in the near future.

Wonderful Stories

I love these books. I’m a big animal lover, no matter what that animal is, and the cats in the books are wonderful. This was another tricky mystery which they all as a family puzzled out. It’s also away for me to escape from things I have no control over but helps me on the things where I can make a change.

What a vacation!

Another great story! I would have sworn that the camping trip was a Valentine's gift, not a Christmas gift. Regardless it was a well written and very engaging story.

This wasn't my favorite Razzy Cat mystery. It just felt really rushed and random, there was no suspense and the killer basically just showed up and said I did it. Cuff me.

Vacation and a murder

Ben finds a body this time, and local police want to blame a mountain lion. The cats and Ben disagree.
