Full Moon Day is the worst day of the month, and Delilah Anders knows it well.
Bitten by a rogue werewolf three years ago, she lives her new normal in her hometown, Fern Port, which hardly appears on maps, and is secretly home to the supernatural. Between her work at the local florist, taking care of her beloved Corgi, and the support of her best friend Faye, Delilah is not unhappy, but longs for a love she doesn’t think she’ll ever find. When unrealistically-handsome, well-spoken, grumpy yet charming Cedric steps foot in town, everything seems to change… especially as her wolfish alter ego starts to show up unannounced in unexpected ways.

Cedric Campbell has a secret.
Trapped beneath his extremely wealthy and cruel father’s thumb, no-nonsense Cedric is tasked with visiting a remote port town for the most important business deal of his–and his brother’s–life. But when Delilah stumbles into him and he starts getting to know her infectious laugh and open heart, keeping his priorities and feelings in check becomes the tallest order he’s ever faced. Cedric can’t stay in this odd, peaceful slice of earth forever, and he and Delilah both know it… but there is no contract for matters of the heart.

Delilah wants Cedric to know every part of her, but can she trust him not to be afraid–and can she trust herself not to hurt him?
Can Cedric complete his mission without losing everything he holds dear?
They say the night brings counsel… but whoever said that probably wasn’t a werewolf
during a full moon.

Love will bloom…but will it bite?

Sadly this book just didn’t quite do it for me. I was so excited to read this story at first but was just let down.

Within the first twenty percent I was truly loving this book. But the more the book went on the more it dragged and the less I enjoyed it.

The attraction between our two leads feels very forced and insta-lovey. I knew that they liked each other but I could not tell you one reason as to why they were together in the end.

Ultimately the reason why I gave this such a low rating was the writing. The writing had such a casual feeling to it. For a novel that’s main element is romance/suspense it lacked the intriguing element that makes you want to keep reading. Then the dialogue between the two mc’s is just beyond cringeworthy. There was some stuff in the beginning that I was willing to look past but it just didn’t ever come to an end. And I know that this is indie published but there were multiple grammar mistakes that just kept on coming up.

However this is a pretty decent start if you’re just getting into soft rom-coms (it just wasn’t for me). And if you are going to read this book please do look up the trigger warning that are in this book if you are sensitive to such things 🤍.

Thank you to L.V. Oaks for providing me with an ARC. As always, all thoughts are my own and are in no way influenced by early access to this title.

i loved this book so freaking much!!! It was so stinking adorable and a breath of fresh air. Cedric, ahhhh, that British, 6’2 something man who has a penchant for wearing suits and spews the word ‘tomato’ like an insult🤭 he so perfect. And grumpy, let’s not forget that, but he was so sweet and a simp for Delilah from the beginning.

And Delilah, she was an angel, i loved how compassionate she was about… EVERYTHING 🌷they were so perfect for each other!!!

Also, did I mention how beautiful that cover was??😩🫶🏻

Y’all I got the arc🥹🙏🏼 I’m ready for this!!! (And that cover is so freaking adorable)

This was my first paranormal rom-com, and I have to say it was such a cute read 💕 I loved the characters Delilah and Cedric. I thought the banter between them was adorable 🤭 I loved how Cedric was so sweet and did thoughtful gestures for Delilah like cooking breakfast, taking care of her, and brushing her hair 🥺 And the things he said had me swooning! Delilah was an interesting fmc. She showed how she tried to live a normal life while also trying to manage her transitions 🐺 and not bring harm to anyone, especially Cedric. I giggled so much with the main characters, but especially with the side characters Faye and Marcus 😂 I can't wait to see how their story turns out 👀 if you're looking for a cutesy, instalove, paranormal rom-com with some spice, then this is the one for you 🌸

Fern Port is a small town, where supernatural is... not so supernatural. Everyone in town is aware of their presence, tho it remains a mystery who sips blood as dinner or when the full moon creeps upon the sky who changes into fur coat.

Delilah is in the latter team, only her best friend Faye, a vampire and horror fanatic, knows about her puppy side. When Cedric Campbell, a British gentleman strolls down the streets of Fern Port, and opens the doors of the flower shop Delilah works in, they couldn't know what awaits them.
They both have their own secrets, but love finds a way to blossom.

I can't lie, I loved everything in this book. Lovable characters? Thick. A sleepy small town where everyone knows everyone and they look after each other? Thick. An unique story? Thick. The sweetest love story? Thick. A corgie? Thick.

It was such a fast and fun read, I think it was so well put together. The characters were not 2 dimensional, no miscommunication (which is a huge plus for me), no unnecessary drama, original plot even though it's about a werewolf girl, lovely description and I think the spicy scenes were great, not awkward at all.

If you want to read something that is funny, heartfelt, and at times rather steamy don't hesitate to pick up this book!

Please be aware that the author's first language isn't English, if you want to comment on that in your review.

There is also a TW, you might want to consider checking out, just to make sure it's appropriate for you.

I was lucky to get this book as an ARC and I must say it was FANTASTIC!!! This is exactly the book I was looking for. I read a lot of samples of books but none of them made me want to buy them. But THIS!!! I LOVED IT! It was such a happy surprise and I’m planning to buy from the author because ✨ absolutely wonderful

The characters are funny and witty. They were tossing around innuendos and yet so incredibly sweet 😭 I love their affection for each other

The different cast of characters are interesting and believable. And their first kiss was pure delight!! It was a slow-burn and god I craved for the spice! And boy did the spice deliver! Some of those scenes had me closing the book to scream.

I’m so excited to hear more from this adorable island and all its secrets 💕

"I need you to know that I want to spend time with you in whatever capacity. I want to quell your doubts, and soothe your fears."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is about Delilah, a werewolf, who works in a flower shop and Cedric, a bussinessman from England. They both have their own secrets, but while they fall in love (he falls first) they have to learn to trust each other and find a way to share their secrets before it's too late!

I thought this was a wholesome, cozy, small-town paranormal romance. The fantasy part of the story is important but is more in the background, the story focuses more on town life and the relationships. So if you are like romance and you are not a hardcore fantasy fan I would still advice you to read this book!

A Peony for Your Claws

She’s a werewolf, he’s a human. She lives in a small town and works in a flower shop, while he’s in town for business from the city. She is quickly drawn to him for his looks, but soon realizes there’s more to him than just his appearance. He, on the other hand, falls for her instantly after their first run-in. It feels like love at first sight, but since she’s a werewolf, she has her reasons for not rushing into a relationship, often thinking about the “what-ifs.”

As she gets to know him better, she realizes she’s not the only one with secrets. Eventually, both of their secrets come to light, and they finally understand each other’s behavior. He is determined to protect his brother at all costs, while she wants to shield her friends and loved ones from the dangerous werewolf she believes herself to be.

Spice 🌶️: 3/5 | Rating ⚖️: 4/5

Such a cute read! I loved the small-town feel and the development of the characters. Their relationship is wonderful, and I adore how they treat each other! Can’t wait to read more from @lvoaksauthor, and I’m curious to see where Marcus and Faye’s story goes because there is definitely something there!

ARC review - I wish I'd reviewed sooner, but there were some chapters and moments I wanted to re-read to specify my review, because I genuinely cannot believe how much I enjoyed this story.

Learning that Delilah was a sweet florist and a werewolf, I thought this would take me back to my Twilight days in high school, but no---this was better than that nostalgia. I loved the Delilah's sweetness and beautiful heart quietly carried a heavy weight of grief and a sadness that she chose to bear alone. Maybe it's just me being a sad Millennial, but I enjoyed the emotional journey we went on with Delilah as she learned to stop denying herself the joys and pleasures of being in love.

As an MMC, I thought Cedric would be hard to believe as a character, that he would just be a simple dreamboat. As an older sibling, I felt Cedric's frustrations with a troublesome sibling and protecting them from a terrible person, and bearing the burden of holding together a crumbling family. it gave him a depth & seriousness that felt like he existed prior to the story's beginning.

Like Delilah, Cedric also has a habit of denying himself happiness, so watching these characters collide was a treat, it was wholesome, and the kind of romance I didn't know I needed to read until now. I am so happy I signed up to be an ARC. A werewolf girl with a pet corgi? That already piqued my interest, but finally getting to finish the book was so satisfying.

Wonderful character work, a clashing of hearts, desires, and fears, this was a beautiful romance.

This book is adorable!

Both love interests had such amazing personalities that complimented eachother well. The atmosphere of Fern Port was so charming. I'd love to live there despite the monsters.

I'm not normally a romance reader because I cannot stand when the couple breaks up 3/4th of the way through the book for no reason. I was so happy A Peony for Your Claws didn't do any of that nonsense. Every decision each character made was understandable and didn't feel overly dramatic.

I'm looking forward to the next love story with a certain half vampire.

This is a new comfort read for me! Cedric is a sweet heart! I was rooting for Cedric and Delilah from the beginning and the pair made me giggle and blush so hard with their cuteness! I also love how loyal Faye is to her friend! Even Marcus was so charming, I can’t wait for Marcus and Faye’s story coming in 2025!
Overall, I had a wonderful time getting to know Cedric and Delilah! Thank you for the e-arc, Lolly! I’m so excited for everyone to get to know this cute pair 🤍🐺

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Y’all this book was so 👩🏾‍🍳🤌🏾💋 It became a 5-star read for me before I even met all the characters😂

I finished last night & I already miss reading it. This is the fastest I have read a book in a few months and I loved every minute! The writing made it so easy to envision the entire town and each character; my brain naturally creates book settings in my mind, but I appreciated not having to do the extra mental work to place everything & everyone.

Cedric is so 🤤 If I looked him up on apple music, ‘Cater To You’ by Destiny’s Child would be the one and only song to pop up. WHAT A MAN😩😩😩

My girl Lilah is so adorable & relatable. She was so funny to me because we act so much alike. I feel like I'm her on the inside but l'm Faye on the outside. Also, I know the next book isn't about her but I would love a flashback to when she first turned in front of Grayson & how his death impacted her from Faye's POV

I loved how both him and Delilah were keeping this huge secret from each other that actually added to their development as characters rather than it just being a plot device. There are not many occasions in books where I actually believe that MC’s who met less than 3 months prior are ACTUALLY in love, but their love and acceptance and respect toward each other was written so well I almost felt delusional😂 They would literally jump in front of a bullet for the other (& not in an edward/bella type of way).

That’s another thing I loved about this book, their relationship was so HEALTHYYY. No miscommunication, no silent treatment, no throwing tantrums, no gaslighting, no manipulation…just honesty (mostly lol) and reassurance🥹 (& praise🙈🙂‍↕️)
It’s refreshing to be an adult & have a story that’s playful and gets you excited like a YA can, but also have mature character relationships

⚠️Baby Spoilers⚠️

I am super excited to read about my girl Faye & Marcus!

My wishlist for the next book isss:
•to get more lore about the paranormal beginnings of Fern Port
•dive deeper into the dynamic between Cedric, Marcus, and their dad & experience it firsthand
•where the hell are Faye’s parents?! & why is she basically a mother of 5??😭
•explore flashbacks of Marcus’ struggle being a dhampir up until he moved
•where is their mommmmmm?! bring her back plsssss

Thanks sooo much L.V. Oaks for choosing me as a part of your ARC team💛💛 I can’t wait for your other projects!

You know the saying that everyone has a tiger inside them? Well, in this book, the main character, Delilah, has a wolf inside her. Seriously.

What does this book promise? A small-town romance sprinkled with a bit of fantasy, featuring a grumpy hero paired with a sweet, sunshine-like heroine. But this sunshine girl isn’t human—she’s a werewolf. Yet, she wouldn’t hurt a fly.

So, if you enjoy supernatural creatures and don’t mind if the story softens your heart a little, then this book is just right for you. The small-town setting, Fern Port, is the kind of place where the biggest excitement usually comes from a new delivery at the flower shop—at least until Delilah’s wolf starts making uninvited appearances. In her day-to-day life, she’s known as a kind and helpful girl, but when the full moon rises, Delilah needs all her strength to keep her inner beast in check. She’s terrified of herself and struggles to believe that she can still be herself in that form.

The story’s other main character, Cedric, isn’t exactly the type who smiles easily. Under the weight of family pressure and heavy responsibilities, he comes across as a serious and determined man. But as he gets to know Delilah, his armor slowly starts to crack. The attraction that develops between them isn’t just another romance for the shelf; here, there’s real stakes in how well they can accept and love each other, flaws and fears included. And, of course, their secrets… Because let’s face it, it’s not every day you meet a girl who’s hiding a wolf inside her.

If you dive into this story, be prepared to be captivated not just by the romance, but also by the characters’ struggles with their own demons—or in this case, their wolves.

What I found a little lacking was that Cedric didn’t seem as grumpy to me as I think the author intended. He was more tender, just not with everyone. But even so, I wouldn’t mind having him around…😆💗 Sometimes the story was a bit harder to immerse myself in (though that depends on my mood), but I absolutely LOVED the last third of it!

Overall, if you love romantic stories woven with supernatural elements, where the characters embark on deep emotional journeys, then this book is for you. While the plot may unfold a bit slowly at times, by the end, it pulls you in and meets every expectation.

Received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review <3

Welcome to Fern Port, a small town that is not very keen on strangers and has mysteries. Delilah was bitten by a werewolf years ago and the full moon has its challenges, so she has tried her best to be a good werewolf and not cause too much damage. When she goes against human brick, Cedric, in town for some mysterious business, their attraction is immediate. He has a charming accent, wears very nice clothes, and is clearly up to no good. Delilah is lovely, bubbly, and sweet as ever… oh yeah except when the werewolf kicks in and she goes into full rage mode. She has to tell Cedric she’s not fully human, right? And Cedric needs to tell Delilah what his business in Fern Port is.

This is a very charming and cute book but that does not mean that it does not have its share of spicy and curse-bombs through the pages. Delilah is such a cute and cheerful person, even though she has been through a lot in her life, she never lets anything sour her mood. Cedric, on the other hand, is a businessman wanting more in life but never finding a way to break free from what is holding him back. Most of the conflict is internal, hence the characters themselves struggle with their insecurities. Delilah, since she is a werewolf, wants to keep a degree of humanity, while Cedric wishes to live life without being under his family's control. In each other's arms Delilah finds that she can trust and love someone so very different from her but makes her feel good. Cedric finds that he can have a home in a place so strange and yet so easy to fall in love.

Delilah and Cedric’s relationship starts very hot but this is a slow burn. I would not call the book spicy, but steamy. And steam is good. It leaves you longing, it leaves you something to the imagination. You will not get burned, but you can feel some heat in some pages! Here I was last week reading the dirtiest, darkest filthiest book, and here I was going all "awww they’re gonna kiss, so freakin’ adorbs!"

This is a “feel-good” romance to read on a spring evening by the garden drinking a fresh lemonade.

Thank you to L.V Oaks for sending me a copy of your book! This was my first paranormal book, and I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did! This book was super cute to the MAX! I loved all the little connections that happened through out the book. It gave all the cheesy rom com vibes I wanted. The banter was always fun! This book made my heart flutter so many times! They were so many cute moments between the two MC’s. I love how much the two povs alternated aswell. I really got to see both perspectives in a better light! Delilah was a very quirky vibrant bubbly person! And the author did a very good job writing her in way that isn’t over exaggerated and annoying but sweet and enjoyable. Cedric was clearly a grumpy man but when he was around Delilah he had a lot of soft spots for her and you could see how he was slowly melting his cold demeanour the more he was around her! I love how he admired her so much. He cared for her a lot and you can tell by all his actions towards her!! Words of affirmation is definitely his love language. He is such a cutie baby the way he talks to her and the way he needed to make sure she knew he accepted her completely🥹He was always so kind and considerate to her and I think that’s really helped Delilah open up more to him! Cedric and Delilah made for such a perfect pair! One thing I was a little bummed about was how I wished we got some more lore about the town coming into the book. I felt a little confused when reading at times. Like why was that town and everyone in it so okay with paranormal activity and all that?! Despite that the book definitely gave old townie vibes! I loved Faye as a character too! She was so unserious and so supportive of her best friend. The ending was super sweet but I was a little confused if Cedric turned as well? I’m not sure if it was implied or if it was a ruse? Or if I missed it completely, but I was really confused if he was going to be made a werewolf too?? Overall this was genuinely such a fun and cute read!!!

Book Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this as an ARC and this review is honest and my own.

COULD THIS BOOK BE ANY DAMN CUTERRR???

Not going to lie but a cute fluffy rom comy book is definitely what I needed right now. I fell so hard for Cedric that I think I left an indent of my face in the footpath.

In this book we follow our beautiful, kind and caring FMC Delilah who lives in Fern Port a small town that knows your business and loves your business. Fern Port isn’t your average town and it sure as hell ain’t “normal” not only do they have a close knit community they also have a sprinkle of supernatural creatures roaming around.

Three years ago Delilah was bitten by a werewolf and ever since turning into a werewolf she struggles to keep her control in check, with ever passing full moon she fights for more control to be her normal, floral and colourful loving self. One day on her way to work at the local florist she bumps into Fern Ports stranger and considering they don’t get too many tourists Let’s just say this stranger sticks out like a sore thumb.

Cedric is purely here on business, he is to gain the information needed and leave. Except when someone runs into him and calls him beautiful his morals and duty to his job start to slip.

I loved this book! I loved these characters and honestly someone get me on a ferry to Fern Port ASAP!

Lilah, was the cutest and most sweetest person to ever meet and I loved her bubbly personality and just her overall persona. Cedric, was the man of the hour because not only can this man flirt but he also has a way with words.

I’m so thankful I got to read this and can’t wait to read the next instalment because the next characters book I know I’m going to love just as much.

If you love cute, supernatural romance reads then this one’s for you.

Happy reading xx

ARC Review

A Peony for Your Claws is a cozy paranormal romance about a (secret) werewolf who works in a flower shop and the stern yet sweet out-of-towner who makes her wonder if love could be worth revealing who she really is.

Delilah is so relatable—and not just because of her love of pretty dresses and whimsical decor. She has a wound from her past that makes her believe she can’t have the love she wants. Although what happened to her is distinctly supernatural, the way it affects her is so deeply relatable.

Cedric is the type of starchy but secretly super romantic book boyfriend I just go feral for (which makes me really feel for Delilah, having to reign in her werewolf tendencies in the face of his gentlemanly behavior). But he was more than just hot—the way he grows throughout the story to gain the confidence to live the life he wants is inspiring.

From the instant Delilah and Cedric met, I was rooting for them to be together! It’s very clear (not to mention adorable) that they bring out the best in each other and cannot move forward from this relationship unchanged. I love how emotionally honest they are with each other, even when they have to keep certain facts hidden. The forces keeping them apart are so understandable that I kept getting light forbidden romance vibes in the most delightful way. The story perfectly balances a cozy atmosphere and personal stakes with a delicious amount of romantic tension, as well as suspense about the characters’ secrets. Leave it to a story about supernatural creatures to renew my faith in humanity 💗

⭐⭐⭐/5

*some light spoilers*

I felt like this was a really cute romcom but it fell flat for me in a few places. The characters were super lovable and I really enjoyed their conversations, banter, and the overall relationship! I found myself confused a few times because something would happen that seemingly came out of nowhere or didn’t seem to make sense with how the story was going. One instance being that this is supposed to be a paranormal town but there isn’t much detail into that… no backstory or explanation as to why the town is so secluded, how nobody knows about it, and how it’s supposed to be this haven for the supernatural. It just seems to be poorly explained. Additionally, I really expected to experience Delilah (the FMC) in more situations as a werewolf. She didn’t fully turn until past 90% of the book! A little accidentally claw or fang appeared here and there but most of the story was her fretting about “turning” in front of Cedric (the MMC) but it didn’t actually happen until the end of the book! I was pretty disappointed in that. Also! Did Cedric get turned or not?! We didn’t get any answer to that in the epilogue.

I did find this book cute, funny, and entertaining, but I wish we were given a little bit more! The next in the series, which focuses on best friend Faye and Cedric’s brother Marcus, comes out next year. I’ll probably give it a read because I did enjoy the book and they already seemed to be an entertaining enemies-to-lovers type of relationship! Here’s hoping that we get a bit more backstory in the next one! 🤍

Super sweet read. Honestly, Delilah is so adorable that this whole book just felt like one long hug. I read it on release day and didn’t even realize I was getting through it so fast but I’m glad I did.

I was worried that with how high the stakes were with Cedric’s dad, that it would have turned out to require a bigger confrontation of some kind but I’m glad the simpler resolution was the end. 🩷

Fav Snippets
- Covering a wolf-teeth sized bite mark is easier than convincing people your sweet corgi puppy mistook you for a frisbee.
- Deep breaths, Cedric.
- And that’s always the issue, isn’t it? I’d perish before saving myself, if it meant not hurting someone else.
- “Your secret meeting with my employer or my ungraceful descent to the floor?”
- Today, I’m going to put my best foot forward. Maybe try not to blush so much.
- I realize he’s waiting for an answer, his eyes searching my face, which must have gone vacant like a fish’s.
- Or two full days to ruminate on my shortcomings.
- Back at the hotel, I am, simply put, quietly losing it.
- Like turning into a werewolf in the middle of my kitchen and causing different states of mayhem, among which ruining a perfectly good apron.
- It’s like a blow to my solar plexus, but I cannot even begin to examine how these words make me feel, otherwise I won’t be able to speak another word all night.
- “Mum always said I had terrible comedic timing, but I genuinely thought–”
- “We are only responsible for the choices we make,” I add. “You can’t spend your life wallowing in guilt because of something that was thrust upon you.”

Delilah Anders
Cedric Cambell
#1 Creatures of Fernport

A Peony for your claws is a book that simmers on the slow pace with the much needed attraction and a little bit of spice with some cute fun moments that will make you want more.

Delilah is a young converted werewolf (just as of 3 years in her supernatural form) who is yet to adapt and get control of her said abilities. Having such an unbelievable thing happened to her she finds it difficult to believe that she's still herself and not the 'Monster' she considers herself.

She also believes she now is not worthy of the love she so desperately craves and keeps hidden in the corner of her heart. But one accidental meeting with a young, dashing but grumpy businessman from Cambridge ( who has just arrived to Fernport for a month) gets those feelings pop out and get out of control just like her heart and... well her werewolf tendencies.

Cedric instantly falls for Delilah for how beautiful she is not just outside but from inside. Things start getting complicated when Cedric starts becoming mysterious about his arrival to Fernport and his family.

Will they be able to trust each other with their secrets especially with the clock ticking with Cedric's return date coming faster than expected???

The author has done an absolutely wonderful job with the small town setting, the paranormal aspect, the characters and their attraction.

Pick it up next and get yourself on a merry journey.

"I'm looking forward to it, you know.'' ''Looking forward to what?.'' ''Watching you bloom.''

Tropes:
paranormal romcom
small town romance
grumpy x sunshine
opposites attract
sweet & spicy
werewolf (her) x human
caretaking

When I saw the sign up for this arc with the tropes I immediately signed up!. And am I glad I did!

Cedric is a confident man who goes for what he wants and takes care of the people he loves. I knew I was gonna like Cedric from the moment he met Delilah, the way he kinda became obssessed with her from that first moment was everything!.

Delilah a sweet woman who has been trough some tough things in her life. I admire the way Delilah just keeps going despite having a hard time and not giving up. Despite being scared she still goes after what she wants and starts something with Cedric.

Their relationship was so fun to read about!. Iv'e never read a book with a non human and a human who are the love interests, and it was honestly sooo good!. The characters, the story and writing everything just went together so seamlessly, I definitely discovered a new author that I will read and review in the future, so I can't wait for what comes next!.

Thank you L. V. Oaks for letting me ARC read A Peony for your claws, if you love a good paranormal and small town romance than you should definitely give this book a go!. A peony for your claws comes out on september 4th!.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spicy content 🌶🌶/5

This book is wonderful! I received this as an arc, and I am so happy!

I can not describe how cute this book is.
It is a delightful rom com that combines the whimsy of love with a touch of the supernatural, and I am here for it!

From the start of this book, it just exudes a warm and fluffy aura that makes it an irresistibly cozy read that I just devoured.

Delilah is so adorable and just takes everything in her stride and is shy for a little, which is refreshing as well. Cedric, on the other hand, is the epitome of an earnest and kind-hearted person who has come to this town for a reason and finds something he never intended to find.

The chemistry between these two is palpable, and their evolving relationship is both heartwarming and entertaining, and I just wanted more and more.

L.v Oaks' writing is crisp and engaging, filled with endearing moments and witty dialogue that kept me hooked and intrigued. I would have liked a little more drama because I am a sucker for a good plot twist.

But all in all, this book is a wonderfully lighthearted and feel-good read. It combines romance and a touch of fantasy in a way that feels both fresh and familiar. It's a perfect escape for those seeking a heartwarming story of love and the supernatural!

- a small town, monster (werewolf) romance! grumpy/sunshine, instalove, forced proximity, opposites attract!
- okay but i LOVE that the FMC is the werewolf and not the MMC, that like never happens
- a mysterious prologue?? fuck yeah
- we do love a bumpy meet-cute hehe
- their flirting is out of this world and i loveeee it
- their first date was super cute!
- their both just hot messes and i can really appreciate that
- i was reading this so quick because i was so desperate to find out their secrets haha
- no but why does my heart hurt so much for both of them after their second date?!
- after a while it was getting a tiny bit repetitive, with the i’ll say something oh no i won’t but i understand why it was hard for both of them
- well i didn’t except Marcus to be there but i am not mad
- honestly this book was chill and i was not expecting that hahaha
- singing in a book always makes me cringe a lil i’m sorry!! but we didn’t really get the singing and for that i am grateful
- how do they KEEP getting interrupted
- the resolution acc seemed so obvious in hindsight but i never would of thought of that lmao
- and a super sweet ending and epilogue!!
- have never read this author before but very much enjoyed this read! it was super sweet and silly but in the perfect way! i do think it was a lil too long but other than that very happy!

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪:

From the very beginning, I was drawn into the world Oaks has created. Delilah's character is endearing, Her struggles with her werewolf nature and her longing for a genuine connection are portrayed with such authenticity that it's impossible not to root for her. Cedric, on the other hand, adds a layer of intrigue and complexity to the story. His gruff exterior hides a softer side, and his internal conflict between duty and desire creates a compelling dynamic.

The chemistry between Delilah and Cedric is undeniable. Their interactions are filled with witty banter and genuine affection. I loved how their relationship evolved over time, as they gradually peeled back their layers and discovered a deep connection. The author's ability to capture the nuances of their emotions is truly impressive.

I couldn't help but think of Malia from Teen Wolf when I first met Delilah - her strength, her sass, and her vulnerability all reminded me of my favorite TV character. And then, when I read the author's acknowledgments, I was thrilled to discover that Delilah was, in fact, inspired by Malia. It was truly a lovely touch.

This was a delightful blend of supernatural elements, heartwarming romance, and a dash of humor. I highly recommend this book.

Cosy, swoony and heart-warming fantasy romance, perfect for an end-of-summer read.

This book reignited my love for small-town romances, bringing us to a happy place full of life (even if it's paranormal). The setting of this novel couldn't fit more perfectly with the storyline, envolving you in a comforting blanket of flowers, coastal views and amazing sunsets.

The characters are a sweet treat as well, even if their way of falling in love with each other isn't one of my favorites, it suits them extremely well. Delilah's story and development makes every part of this plotline relatable and the right amount of fun, melancoholic and loving at the same time, her charisma and character making her the perfect FMC. On his part, Cedric was the one I related to the most, as I found myself wanting to travel to Fern Port and never leaving like he describes; his carying personality had me giggling and kicking my feet constantly, which is always a good thing for a MMC.

Overall, this book was fun and light to read, perfect for everyone who loves romance with a special touch. I'm eager to see what the second book will bring us!! Thank you Lolly for giving me the oportunity to enjoy this amazing story as an ARC🩷✨

Fmc (Delilah) she is soo cute and adorable a pretty wolfie who works in flower shop doesn't she sounds like our dream woman and on the other hand we have our tall , handsome 6'2 British man Mmc Cedric. Both had amazing chemistry btw each other .
The interactions they had they were soo sweet .

Bro was literally simping on his woman Delilah. Such a sweet rom-com. It all happened in a small town Fern port . Amazing story. With MMC AND FMC , major and beautiful role was of her best friend Faye who is obbesed with vampires which I enjoyed a lot hehehe. She knows her wolfie side. You can see and feel warmth coming from book because Cedric was
So caring and loving towards her. They were made for each other . Best couple!!!!!!!

4.5⭐

This book made me so happy! This was so cute and I smiled like an idiot through most of this book haha.

I fell in love with Delilah right away in chapter 1, when she bumped into Cedric and blurted out awkwardly how he 'should not be so hard'!😂and she was such a ray of sunshine, wanting to see the best in everything🥹
Cedric, I love this man so. much. Cedric was 100% smitten by Delilah. His POVs were the best time ever haha, this man was ready to go on a date even though he was sick, and he couldn't sleep because he was thinking about Delilah😩🫶🏼

The reason why this didn't quite reach the five star rating for me was because I hoped we would have gotten more Delilah's back ground. We got a lot Cedric's background and family drama, which I loved. But barely any of Delilah's, I especially would have wanted to know more about the night she got bitten🌕

This was such a good mood read, and I can't wait for the second book!!😍

-Thank you so, so much to the author for the ARC!-
