A business-friendly data management framework. If you are a business professional who wants to delve into data world, "Data Fluency" would be a great start. Likewise, it is for technical people (e.g. data management professionals) who want to use layman's language when discussing data topics, away from their beloved technobabble. However, the book is not intended to tackle more technical topics in data management, as there is no mentioning for more specialized topics such as Data Governance, Master data, metadata, analytics, data quality, data integration, data mining, etc. In general, it is full of insights and practical tips.
A pretty good introduction and/or summary of how/what/why/who to improve an organization’s ability to manage data and provide information and increase its analytical capabilities. Some parts of the book was difficult to follow as if it lacked logic sequence, perhaps the editing could be improved. I liked the practical recommendations and the framework provided is good food for thought.
