Art and it processes up for your fancy tickling, this is a fun book full of art ideas, suggestions and inspiration. The work by individual artists, their description and on-line links is great and helpful. Thank you Dean Nimmer, much appreciated :-)
Good selection of exercises to get started with creating pure abstract art, or abstract impressions of the world around us. Useful for inspiration, but limited in guidance for particular techniques.
I really enjoyed Dean Nimmer's approach in this book. He states that he does not want to show you what to do but give you ideas so you can make your own art. It also goes into more details with what you can do to brainstorm an idea which was really neat.
This will be a good reference book for me when I am looking for new inspiration for abstract art. It includes a lot of starter exercises, one of which I have already used to inspire a painting. It also includes some great photos.
