This was a fun short read with a truly unexpected plot twist. Runa and Blaine make an instant connection based on mutual attraction and their powers. The question in this and coming books is will that be enough to fight the forces of darkness. I knew going into the book that it would end with a cliffhanger and kept anticipating it. The cliffhanger ends up really dropping you just when you are hit with a major plot twist. The book can be read in an afternoon so I am anxiously awaiting the next afternoon installment to see how our powered couple survives the next battle.

I received this book as an Arc from Bookfunnel and I’m leaving a voluntary review. A boy and girl are introduced in school and recognize a kindred spirit. A teacher reads from an ancient book and released a darkness. Can this couple and others defeat this world curse?

Runa and Blainn are instantly drawn to one another . Runa is aware of the darkness that threatens to break free. She’s a descendant of ancient magic and so chooses to explore her powers, enrolling onto Occult Studies at university. When the professor makes an error, Blainn steps in to err caution , but alas the darkness spreads and it’s the containment that comes first for this couple. Twists and left hanging in the most delightful want toread more way . I was forwarded this book and I’m leaving my review voluntarily and in my own thoughts.
