About the author

Patricia H. Rushford, an award winning author and speaker, has extensive experience in writing and has authored over sixty books, both fiction and non-fiction. In addition to having a nursing degree and masters in counseling, she is also an artist and quilter.

The Jennie McGrady Mysteries for young adults have sold well over 500,000 copies. Silent Witness won the Silver Angel Award for Excellence in Media and was nominated for an Edgar Allen Poe Award by Mystery Writers of America. She also wrote the Max & Me Mysteries for middle grade.

The various mystery series for adults continue to receive great reviews. Her series include, The Helen Bradley Mysteries, The Angel Delaney Mysteries, The McAllister Files and her latest, the Artisan Mysteries.

A fast paced installment full of 1990s nostalgia. Some parts of the story were a bit far fetched, but overall I enjoyed it.

This does have some political themes of ProLife vs ProChoice, but the info was handled very well. I did not feel like the one side was overly preachy, nor the other villainized.

This might be one of my favorite Jennie mysteries so far! The entire book was fast paced and tackled the difficult reality of a high school amateur detective. Most books forget to mention how one person is capable of being in so many places at once or keeping the rest of their lives together while they solve cases, but this book delved into the busy schedule that Jennie leads.

This book was excellent! I absolutely loved the story. The mystery had some great twists and turns. My favorite part is honestly how well and honestly the author wrote some awesome pro-life messages into it. There were some moments where I thought I could guess who was who in it, but the way it ended was very different than first expected.

Content Warnings:
Abortion is a very big part of this story. Also there is a scene or two with a gun.

This book was really good! It was really fast paced, and the plot was really good. Jennie is trying to help find her friend Annie and solve the mystery of who put her in the dumpster when she was born. I never guessed the person who put Annie in the dumpster. It was so good!

I read 2 books out of this series when I was 13 and I remember really liking them. I decided to buy the entire series as an adult and read through the series. As an adult, I still really enjoy this series. Would definitely recommend.

I found this while wandering in a book store -- lucky me, I found this in a pile of books, old books to be exact. Perhaps nobody has ever looked for books there.
I find this book so interesting, the story makes me wonder what's next. You really have to read this, especially if you are a mystery fan. You will not buying this book ;)

This was the last one I read from this series when I was a teen. I'm eager to see how the series ends...
