Best korean webtoon ever~ And my first. Manage to keep me entertained from the first chapter. What attracts me first is the title and the art (The art is gorgeous, but it changes in upcoming chapters). When I thought it would be a typical vampire story.. I was wrong. It was more than that.

Cadis Etrama Di Raizel woke up from a 820 years of slumber to a modern era of 21st century, with surroundings that he does not familiar with. He comes across a student Shinwoo, followed him to his school, Ye Ran High School and met his loyal servant Frankenstein, who helps him enroll into the school. Although he is mostly expressionless and quiet, he quickly become acquainted with Shinwoo the athletic guy, Ikhan the computer geek and Yuna (Shinwoo's crush). And there begins the adventure of Rai where tries to adapt himself to the lifestyle of modern society. Learning how to eat, speak, and do things that normal people do. Hilariously. And also come across a dangerous secret organization that experiments on humans.
As the story progresses the plot slowly reveals itself and also you will find more about each Rai's, Frankenstein's and also other characters background story.

The thing about this series is that, its doesn't only focus on one or two characters. It has a few main characters actually. And all of them are very interesting. The battle scenes are choreographed and drawn very well. And the humor. Oh, the humor.. I love ramen. Romance is not the main genre of this series, but there are hints of it.

Umm well. I tried to keep this somewhat review short as possible. This series is still ongoing, there will be a new chapter every week on Tuesday. An arc may eat up a lot of chapters, so be patient reading.

I would have given Noblesse a much higher rating if it weren't for the shameful lack of diversity: we get two women, one is a useless damsel in distress and the other is a half-naked evil freak, for example. I found that extremely irritating, not to say sexist.

That being said, the art is lovely, the story is engaging, and Rai is absolutely hilarious. I wish we'd get more of his private conversations with Frankenstein xD As for the students, they haven't made much of an impression on me; I suppose they are merely there as a plot device.

I will be continuing this webtoon despite my severe objections in the hopes that it might make some amends in the future. If not, I'm afraid it will consistently remain a three-star read. A shame, really.

I'm not entirely sure if this "#1" means that it's Season One or something else. I'm going to assume it is. If it's not, I apologize for the confusion.

In any case, Noblesse originally started out as a Korean webcomic. Manhwa, if you prefer. Since then, it's progressed quite well, and I believe the creators have published the story into volumes. (Don't quote me on that.)

Noblesse is a complex story that revolves not necessarily on one protagonist, but a group of them. We first meet the core of the "group" within the first few pages of the first chapter: Rai. His name doesn't get revealed until a little later, by which we as the audience finds out that "Rai" is more like his nickname, bestowed upon him by three Korean high school students who are right away added to our protagonist bunch.

Though the story does seem to center around the school environment at first, as Rai explores a world he has -- until now -- been oblivious to, it is not really a high school based story. Noblesse doesn't focus on classes or school drama, etc. that's often seen in Japanese manga/anime. In fact, the school is merely a starting point and neutral meeting ground for some of the series' main characters to come together.

Speaking of characters, another person to add to the bunch is the handsome principal: Frankenstein. Franky is the loyal servant of Rai, who has a mysterious past that whispers of the immense power he holds. For years upon years, Franky has been looking for Rai, uncertain of what happened to him after he disappeared from their mutual home.

While there are many questions about what happened and why Rai was missing, very few get answered as events take a dramatic turn. Of course, if you have protagonists, you have to have antagonists. For Season one (which happens to consist of 92 chapters total), these villains come in pairs, in two waves.

We learn a little bit more about the world that these characters live in and get a hint of the powers that they hide from the public, human eye, as supernatural people come to cause havoc. The first pair, who only go by code names M-21 and M-24, seem to be searching for something. There is suspicion that they're looking for Rai.

This spells trouble, not just for Rai and Franky, but also those who they associate with. The innocent will always get dragged into dangerous situations whether they like it or not, and the unfortunate coincidence of their acquaintance with Rai and Franky lead the three high school students (Yuna, Ikhan, and Shinwoo) to become victims of circumstance.

When the three students get into trouble, Rai and Franky take a step forward to save them. The battles and confrontations that take place as the students run into trouble again and again give light to the powers that Rai and Franky have, making it clear they are anything but normal humans. If humans at all.

Noblesse is full of action and fighting scenes that raise the tension with every progressive chapter that takes place. As a webcomic, it's expected that scenes will take a while to finish, but if you're reading the season all at once, it's hard to notice.

The colors and dramatic actions that are drawn out are wonderful to stare at. The artists do a fantastic job using a blend of lights and darks to represent day and night, as well as adding a unique flare to certain powers. The lines are very delicate as well, precise and detailed with every frame that is drawn and colored.

Despite the comic being full of pretty people, masculinity is not lost on the men, and the women are not overly sparkly or beautified. Take, for example, Franky. He's very pretty for a man. Long flowing blond hair and a perfect smile worth plastering on a poster. But even though he's got a pretty face, he has nasty secret that makes his personality very twisted. I wish I could say more, but that would be spoiling.

I have to say, my favorite character in Season One is Frankenstein. He's complex and very dark. He has many layers and wears many faces. At times, you can't help but laugh at him. At other times, you want to take a step back and shudder at the things he can do and the things he says.

Season One barely scratches at the surface of this universe. It's a fairly good setup and introduction to what Noblesse will be like later on down the road, and leave the reader curious and hungry for more. More knowledge, more action, just simply more more more. I give it two thumbs up.

Overall: 4.5 out of 5

I always ignore this webtoon whenever I encounter it while searching for manga. LOL. Now I regret it though. This is the first webtoon I have ever read. I thought it was some typical beautiful vampires sucking humans blood. But trust me, this webtoon brings out the vampire to the whole new level. Interesting plot. I am totally got hooked. Oh remember, how much of the perfect piece that Raizel is, he has no sense of direction at all. :D

Has the Twilight series rendered you unable to read any book that has the word 'vampire' in it? Noblesse is the cure for this syndrome! This hilarious manhwa is addicting and entertaining. The art is stunning and very detailed. The author maintains a perfect balance of action and humour. There is some blood, but it isn't gruesome. The humour consists of facepalm moments, so it can lose its charm after a while. Thankfully, there is no problematic romance. (I told you it's not like Twilight, didn't I?) I highly recommend it for manga/manhwa readers looking for a light, funny and quick read.

4.5 stars.

This is the first Korean manhwa I've read and I absolutely adore it. The magic system is exciting, the plot is so full of drama and the artwork is just excellent. The characters are unique, engaging, dark and lovable, and the main group of protagonists remind me of the Gangsey in the way they protect each other and have wonderful friendships.

The series is in full colour, which most printed manga aren't, so I'm thoroughly enjoying that aspect, and the premise is just so original, I can't think of any other manga like it.

If anyone has read any chapters of Noblesse, hit me up because I need someone to talk to about it! And if you haven't read it but want to, it's free online so you guys can check it out here: http://www.webtoons.com/en/fantasy/no...

I'm now off to carry on with the next set of chapters! *runs*

To anyone who hasn't read this yet, just one question, "Why haven't you?" This is by far one of the best webtoons that I have ever read. I have to warn you the first couple of chapters are slightly slow, and you will be thinking that everything is super stereotypical. Trust me, I did at first too. But after reading trough a few chapters I was hooked. There is a reason it is so popular, because it is a good comic. READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this manwha. I started reading this a while ago, but had to stop because I got busy with school. But, I was able to pick back up with it again, and I am proud to say that I have officially caught up online on what is going on so far, and I cannot wait to read more. This is was actually my 4th manwha series that I have read. At first I thought it was slow (which it kind of is at some points), but then it picks right up after a couple of pages and then I can go into fan-girl freak-out mode again. The art is phenomenal! I am always astounded by how much detail goes into it and how it actually becomes more mature, which is the best way that I can think of putting it, as the story progresses. For Noblesse, it actually is more subtle, but it's there. The plot, like I said, it is slow in the beginning and at some parts, but it picks up and when it does it will keep you hooked. I laughed. I cried. I got angry. I would love to own this series if South Korea actually does get to the point where they are selling it in the US. This is something that I would definitely want to read it over and over again without having to kill my electronics. "-_-. I would actually recommend this to anyone who is open to a different spin on the supernatural, especially during this whole overrated vampire craze that is going on (which I think it's dying down actually). Just to clarify/reiterate for anyone who is interested in reading this, there are four seasons of Noblesse that are online (obviously since it started out online), and it is a continuous series.

I quite liked this webtoon. The characters were great especially Frankenstein.
Also the parts with Frankenstein going crazy because of the behaviour of his silent Master were hilarious.
But almost all the scenes seemed very... delayed and that is the major thing I disliked.

DNF chapter 15.

So far no part of it is especially terribe, but rather everything about it is average at best. It's not clever, not fun, not original -- not anything.

Read it until Season 4 ep#442 and still ongoing.

What can I say...I'm falling in love with this manhwa. I get everything, all in one:
1. Action: with all the battles and the destructions?? Korea, you will be so messed up :p
2. Romance: well, so many fans shipped Rai and Lascrea, Rael and Seira, Shinwoo and Seira(?), Shinwoo and Yuna and many more. I really want to shipped Regis....but still can't find a perfect partner.
3. Supernatural: human, vampire, werewolf...er, no..it's not Twilight, pardon me.
4. Slice of life: hmm...the school life...and also when daddy Frank beserk because of his tidyness (or maybe this genre doesn't fit for this manhwa) XD
5. Humor: especially this one, I love how the author screwed the serious moment into funny ones: how the Noblesse could be so stressed about opening the door, loosing online game and also the advertising calls to M-21...I can't help myself to ROFL. You have to read it by yourself to get those moments!

The characters also so refreshing and lovable (despite of their looks, I believe: Rai and Frank themselves could be the member of Korean pop band if they want, but they choose to be a high school student and headmaster XD). It's pretty common in shonen manga about change side, how an enemy became an ally and it happened a lot in this story. The characters also built so strong and it's easier to mourned when one of the lovable character die.

The artwork...it's so beautiful (except for season 2, but I can't hate it because it was the first time the gank met Tao!!). And it's getting more and more amazing, especially the detail in last season I've read.

So, with all those things I've mentioned above, I declared myself as Noblesse fan...nuff said :)

It's simply amazing! This manhwa/book/webtoon by Son Jae Ho is a must read. She used serious humor in a way that can really make you laugh(well at least it works on me). It's action packed and not your typical vampire thing, not even close. Rai *who actually has a long, ridiculously beautiful name*,is a very strong and likable protagonist. By the way, this manhwa, if you read it thru webtoon, is full of bishies so you'll really love it. I highly recommend this. I've read it 3 or 4 times already and I never get tired of it.

Oh joy!
This is so much F.U.N. xD
^I was not being sarcastic.

I have always loved when characters from the past/history come into the modern era. It's always just so gosh darn cute and funny. Especially their fascination with every little thing and Rai is no different!
I'm no happy M-21 (isn't it about time he got an actual name?) didn't die and "switched sides".
Two words.
Total. Heartthrob.

Though I am kinda sorry about M-24. I really felt that. ='|

Now. On to the next volume! :D

I know I'm gonna get roasted but I tried this webtoon out, just because I like the vampire genre and that it's obviously popular for that reason. However I just couldn't click with it so I'm giving this a pass I'm afraid...

Also if you like it, I honestly don't mind if you do. Everyones different peeps!

3.5* actual rating

This was recommended to me by my brother in law, who tends to have really good taste, so I decided to give it a go. And I'm really glad I did!!

This set starts off very slow. You don't really know what's going on and while there are a couple of cool characters I wasn't to enamored with the book. But like someone who is building a house from scratch it slowly starts to take form. The characters become more deep and interesting. Questions you have from the very first issue start to get answered. And by about issue 70 there is some seriously badass stuff going on that made me have a big smile on my face! Who would've thought the oldest vampire ever would be a good guy that can take everyone down! KNEEL! Oh, man, such a cool moment.

I read this on Webtoon and as weird as this may sound the comments at the end of each issue enhanced my reading of this set. It made me appreciate the humor of the story a bit more than I think it would have just reading it alone.

I think if you like stories with secretive organizations with some characters that are super badass but don't know how to operate a door (seriously, it's pretty funny) then I really think you should try this. Just know it's a slow burn and that the house is getting built and you just have to trust the process.

I'm excited to move on to season 2 now, but it will be a slow going read at 2 issues a day. Because I'm a cheap SOB.

well, i always thought no one would make a fictional character that stronger then the Dracula itself. man!, but guess what, this character is related to Dracula somehow, Not really even higher level then Dracula, Dracula would be the kind that betrayed their kind, that humans think the one that they have seen is the only one that ever existed, and the vampires are the one's that are infected and using by the betrayed one's. oh my!. to much information been revealed bySon Jae Ho the Arthur of this books.
man!, i seen this series millions times roaming the net, people mention it all the time, i said what's all the fuss about till i read it, i didn't expect i would enjoy it this much, not just enjoying it, i was thinking when i would ever had chance to ask Frankenstein to let me join the family, the pack wolf, the noblesse pack, just hearing the name noble is freaking terrifying but tons of nobles strolling in the cities , but who expected there would be ones that calls Noblesse.
man this's too much to bear.
all i'm trying to say is i enjoyed the Noblesses

Fast paced and pretty addictive. Some nice humor here and there. Nice touch. I like the bishounens, so all is well. Most importantly, I really enjoyed how pampering and doting that handsome manservant is towards his oh-so-precious master. How adorable.

Vampires are back, being total baddasses—except when it comes to opening doors, playing computer games and peeling bananas. A good mix between action scenes and funny moments that gets you hooked in easily. In fact, I wasn't expecting to like it this much. And also didn't expect to laugh out loud with Rai trying to adapt to modern days. So, all in all, you have cool artwork, cool characters, and a cool story.
