After breaking up with the world’s biggest jerk, I’m reluctant to get back into the dating scene. So my best friend, Paula, and I make a deal.
“If it’s ever going bad, shoot me a text, and I’ll come rescue you.”
The only problem?
I send the text to the wrong P – P for Professor Alexander.
I met Asher Alexander on a history field trip, three years ago, only giving me his number in case of an emergency.
So there’s no way he’s going to respond now three years later…right?
But then he does more than that. This forty-three year old, silver-haired, muscular alpha appears and saves me from my horrible date.
I almost melt. I’ve been obsessed with him ever since I was an eighteen year old virgin. Now I’m twenty-one, still a virgin, and I’ve been through the wringer.
I expect him to ask me why I sent him a text with my location attached.
But instead, he saves me.
I know he’s just being nice, but I can’t stop dreaming about being with him. I can’t stop fantasizing about his rippling muscles and how safe I’d feel with his powerful arms wrapped around me.
When my ex-boyfriend rears his head, Asher steps in again, leaving me wondering…
Is it possible he feels the same? Does he want me as badly as I want him?
As events escalate, I start to believe that maybe, just maybe, I’m not imagining that possessive jealous glint in his eyes.
I love the premise of this novel. Girl goes on a bad date, accidentally texts her professor from three years ago to come to her rescue- and he DOES!
Asher is over the top, obsessive, possessive- but he genuinely cares for Autumn. And vice versa. This was a great little novel to get lost in for a while.
I can totally relate to the heroine... I accidentally sexted my band teacher when I was in high school. He didn't come to my rescue though... I ended up quitting band. Lmao.
safety: virgin heroine celibate hero age gap dirty talk rough sex OM drama no cheating/sharing HEA and epilogue ♡
Short age-gap insta love. Ugh this book. It was one where most of the story was told through lustful and angst-ridden inner monologues. Nothing really happened in the story except all the ‘should I tell him I love him?’ ‘Should I tell her that I want to impregnate her?’ Over and over again. It alternated first person narrative but when we saw the hero’s perspective, it was super creepy and cringey, constant description of her pink slit and wet hole, the words tangy and juicy seemed to be on repeat as the author used them over and over again. Just no. I have nothing else to say, just *shudder*. Oh and one more thing, a famous celebrity historian is not a thing, ok then.
DNF @ 51% God, I can’t keep doing this. I think this book suffers a lot from bad marketing. I was expecting a story of misunderstandings, something spicy and fun to read, but I got a lot of alpha inner monologue and stupid protagonists that don’t do anything except pine in every single chapter? It’s been half the book and I feel like NOTHING has happened, I’m so bored (and more than a little grossed out for the possessive language I can only excuse in shifter romance).
This is the first full length Flora Ferrari I’ve read and I really enjoyed it. I loved the concept of these two, so far apart in age, falling in “unrequited” love in an instant and then not seeing each for three years until an accidental text brings them back together.
It got rid of the bad taste in my mouth left there by my last DNF.
Had a good start but the plot was lacking. I normally love age gap but but at times asher came across as kinda creepy to me. The phrasing of some things were weird when it was related to sex or his thoughts about autumn. Moved really fast so I felt there wasn't enough character development.
This was another sweet and romantic age gap story by Ms. Ferrari. Autumn and Asher met 3 years ago and lost touch but never forgot about each other. Now three years later they finally get their chance at a HEA😍😍 sweet, steamy, romantic with action and a HEA❤️❤️❤️
I just couldn't finish this book. It was awful to read. My brain screamed at me nooooo put it down woman! It's written in an unemotional and immature fashion. I cringed each time I read 'my woman' and the describing words for sex scenes *shudders*, I tried to continue. I got to chapter 17 and I just couldn't enjoy the storyline at all. No passion.
Ik it’s a short read but couldn’t do it. I hate the word cringey but I don’t know how else to describe it lol
“Asher Alexander. I’m a historian. But I’m also trained in martial arts. I’ve been in a fair number of fights in my life. I’m also very, very, very fucking certain I could make your life miserable, the same way you’re trying to make Autumn’s.”
Did she send it to the wrong person noooooooooo Autumn had been talked into going on a blind date by her best friend Paula and it was going bad. In fact he reminded her of her ex Declan who she was desperately trying to forget. So she sent Paula a text a big SOS begging for help. But what she found at the window of the restaurant was her three-year crush Mr Asher Alexander. Professor Asher had met autumn three years ago when he took her on a historic visit and he had never forgotten her. But at the time she was only 18 so he kept it in check. When he gets a text begging for help but not knowing who it’s from he’s quick to get there. And he gets a shock when he looks through the window and it is Autumn. And he’s quick to get in there and make an escape for her.
All the feelings are still there for both of these two but they’re not sure if they should act on it. What would happen if they did act on it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book I really liked both alton and Asher. I liked his protective side of him . But the passion and the chemistry and the drama in this book really made it go by so fast and Declan makes the worst boyfriend in the world.

Ten years is not enough. Awesome book. Asher has loved her from the instant he saw her three years ago. He never learned her last name so he had no idea how to find Autumn. When he gets a text from an unknown number asking for help he immediately goes to the rescue. Imagine the shock and elation when he finds out it’s her that needs him. Autumn is surprised by Asher’s willingness to help her out. She has never forgotten about him in the three years since they met. As they spend more time together getting to know each other both are hiding the true depth of their feelings, afraid of scaring the other away. Then a mean and threatening ex boyfriend makes his presence known Asher knows he has to protect Autumn at all costs. When all is revealed will they realize they have wasted time or will it be too much for them to handle?

So so so cringe. Like level 10. It was a short skim read that I finished so that I could feel justified in rating it. Nothing about this was sexy. This might be one of the unsexiest books I've ever read. If you love ott possessive older men there are a million books better trust me.
So I picked this book up completely at random because I kept seeing other books in the series pop up, and they looked so interesting! I was hoping it to be a series of books made up of mixed media or just a text exchange because the premise is that the romances are set up on the basis of a text accidentally going to the wrong person. So that's not what happens, and the text was just a very small part of the story. This one was more of an age-gap romance or teacher/student romance. Overall it was an okay story. I kind of wish we had a little bit more ex-drama because Autumn's ex literally abused her during their relationship and then stalked her once she finally left him! I think Asher was able to make it disappear way too fast because Autumn had been struggling with his harassment and stalking for over a year now. The relationship also hung onto the whole miscommunication trope really hard, too, and it was rough trying to get through it. Honestly, I did like it at first. I thought it was cute that they both had these very strong feelings towards one another but had no clue how the other would feel and felt kind of nervous to admit their feelings because they were unsure of how the other would've reacted. But then that became the whole thing, and it got old really fast. I just wanted something else to come between them as the only reason they couldn't be together or just admit their feelings already. Eventually, they do, and we do get to see their life together, but overall, it just wasn't what I was looking for at the moment.
The Accidental Text, Book 1 of the Text Me You Love Me series, was about 21-year-old Autumn Davis, a college student majoring in History, and 42-year-old Asher Alexander, a celebrity History professor. Autumn first met Asher when she was 18 years old and just starting college. He led a class tour, gave his number to them in case they needed anything, and that was all of the interaction they had. Three years later, she accidentally sent an S.O.S. text message to him instead of her BFF when her blind date went from bad to worse. She was shocked when he showed up and helped her out of a sticky situation. Although they both had feelings for the other, neither knew how to confess it without scaring the other off. When Asher learned that an ex-boyfriend was harassing and stalking Autumn, he offered her a solution, which she gratefully took. When that didn't stop the stalker, Asher took things a bit further to deal with him. This book had a very slow burn, but it was full of angst, drama, a touch of humor, and above all, a lot of spiciness. It also had a good portion of fluff-n-stuff, which made it a touch boring at times and made the story drag horribly. But it was still a good book. I only gave it a three-star rating because the author had a decent conflict that could have played out and made the book better, but she dropped the ball and just let it slowly drift away. The abrupt ending was a bit of a disappointment as well because it just...ended. Plus the two epilogues were lacking in content too, so that contributed to the lower star rating.
The storyline had great potential so I decided to go ahead and give it a listen. Even though I'm not a fan of virtual voice. I usually run from anything with virtual voice narration.
Once I got into the story itself I couldn't help thinking that for academics the main characters seemed so "high school".
Another thing that completely turned me off was the sheer velocity of possessiveness in the MMC. Actually obsessiveness would be a better word for it.
If I were entering into a new relationship with a man with even half of the mmc's obsession toward me there would be red flags flying everywhere. In fact I think I would suggest counseling and then go directly to the police station for a restraining order.
Also the whole story felt rushed. It makes me question 1) the age of the author at the time the story was written and 2) If this was the author's first book.
Like I said the trope had potential and would have made an amazing romance. But in my opinion the author took a swing with the bases loaded, and struck out.
I gave it three stars because the author came up with a great trope that hasn't been overly done yet. And because she at least made the effort.
Next time spring for a real narrator or narrators. Virtual voice doesn't put any emotion into the characters in the story. I think even as juvenile as the characters seemed, teal narrators may have gotten at least another star out of me.
I was in love with the premise of this book and enjoyed how it was written and the outcome of an accidental text. Autumn and Asher are such a great couple. He’s over the top and possessive. She’s healing from a manipulative ex and needs to know their instalove is real. There is a lot of focus on each character feeling like their feelings are too over the top and won’t be returned. I took off one star because it did at times feels excessive but I still really loved this book and would definitely recommend reading it.
Autumn and Asher met at a college field trip several years ago. He was the professor in charged and gave his number to the attending students in case of emergency. She meant to text her friend to save her from a miserable date but text Asher instead. He shows up to save the day, and finds the younger woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. Autumn is stunned to find her crush is there to whisk her away and wants more than anything for him to have feelings for her. They begin to spend time together under the pretense of helping her with her college essays. When her crazy ex causes her problems, Asher steps in again. I enjoyed following their story as feelings are revealed, spicy scenes abound, and a happily ever after is around the corner.
HEA Standalone *over 18 readers only * Age-gap (42-21)
Trigger warnings Death of parents and subsequent depression led to bad decisions Gaslighting Stalking ex
Autumn (mfc) Declan (ex of mfc) Roger (bad date) Paula (mfc bff) Professor Asher (mmc)
Autumn was talked into going on a date with Roger after she swore off dating because of the horrid way Declan treated her. When the date goes to crap, she sends a "rescue me" text to Paula, but due to the condition of her phone, she accidentally sent it to Professor Asher. Asher is close by and does rescue her, though. She's fantasized about him since he was a guest speaker to her freshman history class 3 years ago. He has also been thinking of some pretty steamy thoughts about her since then. Thoughts that are detailed on page. He also helps her after finding out her ex is harassing her, going as far as moving her into a better apartment. He's not about to let ANYONE hurt HIS woman. Now, if only they were being honest about how strongly they feel for one another...
The blurb at the beginning says he's 43, but the book says he's 42. The mfc really had some major insecurities, but that was understandable given her first relationship.
Loved the storyline. Autumn is on a date and her friends tell her to send an sos if she needs help. After listening to this jerk guy put down her study choice, she's ready to end this date. She was suppose to send it to her best friend, Paula, but accidently sends it to Professor Asher Alexander. An honest mistake since the test was sent under P for Paula. Professor Alexander gave Autumn his number when she was 18 and had a history field trip 3 years ago to use for emergencies. When he received the text he wasn't sure who sent it but when he see Autumn at the restaurant he save her from her date. Autumn has been thinking about Asher for the longest time and he's been thinking about her. These two can't seem to find the right time to tell each other how they feel. When her ex starts causing trouble will Asher save her again? Can they get to their HEA?

The FMC was fantastic. She was a fantastic combination of shy, sweet, and good yet she had an underlying strength too. I loved the fact that not only did we get an epilogue, but we got two extended epilogues set a year then ten years in the future. I sincerely wish more authors would give us multiple looks at the couple in the future when the story wraps up. It’s so enjoyable to get to see what their life is like in the future after they’ve gone on the rollercoaster of ups and downs to finally reach being a couple in love. So to be able to see what they’re doing in the future is perfect, since without the author showing us we’re only left with guesses and that’s not nearly as fun. If I had one small nit-pick it’s that I wish Asher had been less “growly” and had at least a few more moments where he was soft and sweet with his other half. Of course that’s a personal preference more than anything.
When your fingers hit the wrong key....but it turns out to be the right click for the rest of your life
The Accidental Text is about Autumn and Asher. They meet when Autumn is on a bad date that needs to end. so she ends an "SOS" text to her best friend. But her finds hit the wrong key and Asher receives the text instead. Even though he does not know who sent it Asher is not about to let an SOS call for help go unanswered and he heads off save a lady in distress. When Asher first sees Autumn it is all over and done with for him, his heart is hers to do with what she wants. They may have met before, as she is a college student where he is a history professor. This time Asher is not going to walk away from Autumn and lucky for him Autumn finds the older man handsome, super sexy and falls into his arms. They have a great chemistry that only gets hotter and hotter.
Flora Ferrari delivers a steamy, OTT, age-gap instalove romance with The Accidental Text. Asher and Autumn met three years ago when the famed history professor led Autumn's freshman class on a tour around D.C. - and despite a twenty year age gap, both found the other enthralling. Three years later, Autumn has faced tragedy and a controlling boyfriend, when out on a blind date, she accidentally texts Asher instead of her best friend for a rescue. Asher isn't sure he believes in fate, but how else can he explain being just a few blocks away when Autumn's SOS came through? Now that they are back in one another's lives, can they deny the Kindle-melting chemistry between them? A fun, entertaining, steamy read!

Their Cherished Destiny - Autumn and Asher had a crush on each other the first time they met, but the circumstances weren’t conducive for them to acknowledge their feelings. Fortunately, fate stepped in and gave them a second chance, which allowed them to slowly build their relationship towards a happily ever after. Their chemistry was off the charts hot and I could feel it through the pages.
This was a fantastic story, packed with deep and raw emotions, that will take you on a rollercoaster ride. The story flowed beautifully, which had me totally absorbed from the first page. This is a book you will be happy reading again, once you have finished.

The story was very fast paced in regards to their relationship and how everything with her ex happened. I kept wanting more though, more description on how they were instantly attracted to each other, more interaction/strife with the boyfriend and more character development. I didn't like the constant usage of 'my Asher' or 'my Autumn'. It felt like it should've been a ABO type of story then a modern romance story.
The story had a great concept and plot point and I would've loved for it to develop more of the accidental text.
It was an okay story but I wished it had gone in a more fluffed out development than rushing to the sex and needing to possess each other.
