Hollywood Filmmakers-Grab This Now!

Fantastic

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book and I was blown away. Stephen King has so competition on his hands. If you are looking for a good horror that will keep you on the edge of your seat then this book is for you

This book is about an author Jared Cole who found fame after writing books and left his sleepy town Torchfalls in Montana which held it's own secret of horror, to go and live in New York he has been there for 7 years but his writing is faltering now so he decides to return back home.

Unbeknownst to friends and family, he has a special gift he can see people's souls. When they die, they go through a gateway to the other side. Upon Jareds return, there's an incident, and he accidentally unleashes something through the gateway, which is pure evil and hungry for fear and death.

I have read all of his books, and in my opinion, this is his best so far. Initially, the books simmers slowly but persevere as the horror and shock keep on building to one hell of an almighty gargantuan bloodiest and gruesome read.

It also has a love story between two characters intertwined with trials and tribulations throughout the story. Penultimately, my emotions of horror, but also empathy, I felt I'd grew to love some of the characters I empathised with them wholeheartedly.

This is a brilliant read by this author his best and my favourite so far.

I am looking forward to reading more by David C Cassidy.

Jared returns to his hometown from New York to find that something sinister is tormenting its residents. He senses the evil along with the son of an old girlfriend.

David C. Cassidy takes the reader through a wonderfully written adventure with well-developed and interesting characters. There are many twists and turns to keep the reader engaged even long after the last page is finished.

I was totally captivated by this chilling supernatural thriller in which premonitions become a reality.
Jared Cole is a successful writer of horror and unwittingly opens a gateway to what can only be described as Hell on Earth as evil forces ravage the community of Torch Falls. As the bodies pile up, it becomes a race against time for Jared to find a way to close the gateway.

A Very Creepy Book

I read a lot of books in this genre and they usually do not bother me. Gateway was different, it truly creeped me out ( not a bad thing).
David C. Cassidy's writing style for this book reminded me of the great Stephen King. Without giving anything away, this book reminded me of King's Needful Things.
If you're looking for a good Halloween read this year, Gateway is the book!

Reading this book, I felt like I was in a Part 2, and missing something that came before it. I guessed through a lot of the book, and tried to piece things together that were left rather vague. The book seemed to be rather rushed towards the end, and I was left guessing again as to what exactly was happening, and the time frame it occurred.

I love the way he spins a tale of horror in a small town where everyone knows each other and has two demons wreaking havoc at same time. One of those will truly surprise you. If you enjoy horror stories, you will enjoy this one.

page turner alright!

This was one of the better novels I’ve read in the horror genre. One of those that “I’ll turn off the light after this chapter”, then finding yourself saying after this next one.

Although I enjoyed this book for the most part, I would have greatly appreciated a trigger warning for animal mutilation. Yes, it would have prevented me from reading the book, but I think the warning should be there for those of us who choose not to have that horror in our minds without our consent.
