A great collection of 9 full novels that are space-based and which have a female lead character. The stories are varied and enjoyable.

2 x 5 stars; 6 x 4 stars; 1 x 3 stars; one read in 2020; others in 2024.

A fun read

some good, some not so

The good ones might make five stars, but as I personally hate stories about groups of genius teenagers who are put upon and down by their adults, I’m afraid the book dropped a point.

Space opera

Some pretty darn good reading with lots of good characterization and world building. Worth picking up a copy for late night reading .

I am not a big fan of short stories, but these were quite lengthy. Enjoyed the various worlds portrayed in all the stories.

Don’t know if all the stories are cliffhangers or just the first one, but I think that’s a shitty way to try to force people to pay for another book to get the ending. I’m out.

Started a bit slow but ended with a bang. This is the first sci fi novel I've read that had one of the important characters as a disabled person. You get a feel for the great obsticals that not only the disabled person had to overcome but also that of the caretaker. I'll be looking to read all of the novels in this series.
