After fifteen years at the very pinnacle of test rugby, leading the most successful squad in Welsh history, Dan Biggar tells his story.
‘When I reflect on it all, I can say without any doubt that I gave it everything.’
Dan Biggar has never fitted the mould. Throughout his long and decorated career, he has had to confront the critics, to silence the cynics. His playing style has been described as brash, aggressive and forthright, and it has earned him a reputation he has never been able to shake. But to anyone who knows him off the pitch, he is one of the most grounded ambassadors the game could ask for.
Honest and self-critical, Dan offers a rare insight into his personal and professional life. He talks candidly of his place within rugby, from the Premiership through to the Lions, and of the power dynamics within Wales’ most successful squad ever. He also opens the changing room doors and explores his relationships with past team mates, coaches and managers, from Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards to Alun Wyn Jones and Wayne Pivac.
The Biggar Picture is the story of a man who has taken in the joy, the graft and despair to become one of the sport’s most compelling figures – and Wales’ most capped fly-half.
I seem to find the ramblings of a fly-half less interesting when they are not playing on my team, or are not playing for Ireland.... Nonetheless the Biggar picture was a strong read. Bigger creates a (slightly chaotic) picture of his time in the red jersey of Wales, giving us an insight in his battle striving for perfection, what the game meant to him and everything that surrounds it.
I enjoyed this book. It was a really interesting insight into some of the best and worst days of welsh rugby. I felt the book moved at a good pace and didn’t dwell on one thing for too long.
Generally, I've found autobiographies boring and have been unable to finish them. This isn't one of those. I really enjoyed the honesty of Biggars' story and the hilarity of the brutal welsh humour. I enjoyed watching Dan play on the field and equally enjoyed this book.
This is an excellent book, probably the best sporting autobiography I’ve ever read. Dan’s honesty and candour make for compelling reading. I’ve never met him but he comes across as an exceptional human being.

A telling insight into the life of Wales’s former No.1 fly-half. As a follower of English rugby, I can acknowledge a great and Dan Biggar is one of them.
Biggar takes you through his career, marking the highs and lows of an international rugby player. The book itself, is easy to understand, if not a little chaotic in how it is set out - sometimes feeling like we were jumping from one topic to the other with no real explanation.
After following Dan for his whole career I was looking forward to reading this as soon as I saw he had done an autobiography. I’m not normally one for autobiographies, but I’m glad I read this one. Some real interesting insights into the man and just how professional he was. Dan will always be a legend in Welsh Rugby
I love Dan Biggar. I've had the privilege to see him play, and watching him do the Macarena at the Principality Stadium is something to never be forgotten.
This is a brilliant memoir from an outstanding player, and gives a real insight into the highs and lows of the professional game in Wales and further afield.
A brilliant insight into a staple of the wales team during their recent glory years.
Giving a very well-rounded picture of both his on field experiences, as well as a very frank and honest insight into the inner workings of the WRU and some of his more personal matters, this is a very interesting, intriguing and in-depth delve into one of the best to do it in Wales’ #10 shirt.
Enjoyable listen to Dan's rugby career. In spite of being out of favour many times & dropped he still managed over 100 caps for Wales truly a great servant. Some amusing anecdotes & much honest appraisal of situations & games.
Enjoyed the openness to how vulnerable he has felt during his career but also the relationships with other players and coaches. You can tell this was co-written by a rugby fan and really captures key moments in personal life and his career well.
I am an England fan but have always liked Biggar. I was interested to read about his upbringing and views on Wales camps etc. It was good read overall and I enjoyed his written voice.
a great read, i have watched Bigs for years , for Wales and the Lions as well as for Saints a great player and a great insight into him and his mindset
I am a big fan of Dan Biggar and i’am still watching him playing for Toulon. This autobiography is really great, so funny and it shows the kind of mindset you need to became such a great player.
