Standard deviation of the rating is a reasonable measure of how polarizing a book is: if the book got an equal number of 1s and 5s and nothing else, the standard deviation would be 2.0. A stand-out winner in this category is Donald Trump Jr's Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us whose 233 ratings have 103 5-stars and 111 1-stars, producing a near-perfect standard deviation of 1.93.

Out of books with at least 1,000 ratings, Ann Coulter is still in the lead with 1.47, for Godless (2,818 ratings). But I wonder for how long.

The winner appears to be Alice's Adventures in Wonderland , with 3,921 listed editions and counting.

The longest title we know of is Flags of the World Coloring Book: A Great Coloring Book for Kids to Learn the Flags of the World. There Are 185 Flags to Colour with a Colored Flag to Copy and There Is Information on the Flag and Country. This Makes for a Great Educational Book. , which contains forty-seven words and four punctuation marks. For purposes of comparison, Peter Weiss's Die Verfolgung und Ermordung Jean Paul Marats dargestellt durch die Schauspielgruppe des Hospizes zu Charenton unter Anleitung des Herrn de Sade has a paltry twenty-one words and no punctuation marks.

omg, I didn't know these would be on here. I was such an odd child, but I love it. I used to just sit and look at all the crazy stuff like, how is there a human the size of the actual book. Or the crazy nail lengths or most hairy humans alive. I think this is part of the reason why I've grown to be such an accepting odd ball and why I'm so open to whimsy. ps. does anyone remember the TV series I used to absolutely love watching them. the ending where 3 dudes Vs. one another made me laugh smm.

I read this book in the matter of a few days so you can get through it pretty fast. The text is pretty small in the book so for some people it could be hard to read. I really enjoyed this book seeing all the different talents or records people can do or break. I would put this book into the non-fiction genre category.

I used to love these books when I was kid. Every year, I'd look forward to getting the newest edition and reading it cover to cover (yeah, I was huge nerd). Anyways, since I got a Jeopardy tryout coming up (this is what kids who read record books and almanacs for fun become; trivia buffs), I decided to pick up and edition to drill myself with things I may have forgotten, and things that may have changed.

It might just be me, but it certainly feels like the book is a lot less information dense now, and geared to advertise the records made and broken on its shows and road events. In short, lots of "Fastest time running a marathon backwards while juggling" and less stuff like "smallest coin in regular circulation" (does anyone know the answer to that one, by the way?).

Anyways, it wasn't a boring read. It just felt a lot less spectacular and grand, despite trying a lot harder to be spectacular and grand. And for the purposes I got it for, it suffices, I suppose.

Best part : A Mongolian dancer, Tsatsral Erdenebileg, has successfully set the new Guinness World Record for “Longest time to hold the Marinelli bend position”. She achieved the record in the theatre of the Circus Maximus in Budapest, Hungary by holding the position for two minutes and 34 seconds

interestingly the record was previously held by another Mongolian woman, Oyungerel Luvsandorj, who set the Guinness World Record for “Longest time to hold the Marinelli bend position” for 33 seconds, breaking the old world record by 11 seconds, in Great Britain in 2008. Oyungerel then updated her record to 50 seconds in Italy.

Assuming the reader has previously seen a GWR book, they know what to expect as to the format and style that the book follows. The facts and trivia that this years edition provided interested me, but it felt a bit flat and generic, and I felt that they could have made it a lot better. However, it was very enjoyable and my whole family enjoyed it as well so for any fans of the GWR series of yearly books and records, this is just another for the collection.

Personal Response- The new 2015 records are astonishing and I cant figure out why people would do half of them because its common sense that you could die. Some where amazing but others were gross and just odd.
