Repetitive
Five books into the series, and the story is always the same. Interview three different people they think are the killer, they figure out the real killer when they have the third one, MC somehow ends up alone with real killer, MC’s love interest saves her but she also helps save herself. MC is too good and unrealistic, making leaps and bounds to somehow have the killers mindset spot on, even using the same phrasing at times. I skimmed most of the book and didn’t feel like I missed anything.

Book #5 in her FBI Agent Nina Veil series. A serial killer goes after people who he feels got away and were not punished after imagined wrongdoing. The killer leaves a drawing of an eye on the wall sketed quickly in permanent marker. Nina has made it back to full duty after recovering from a coma. She’s full of self doubt and has missing memories but she’s determined to catch the murderer. Several red herrings and lots of action. Her partner Daniel is treading carefully because they were once lovers before the coma and he’s very protective of Nina.
