This was a cute book. There were poems about mornings, nights, playing in the snow, playing dress up, picking strawberries, the list goes on. They were illustrated nicely and any child would like to listen to them. The poems are short, but they hold a lot of information and encourage the reader to do what the kids are doing. The poem about a dancing girl made me want to get up and dance. The poem about picking strawberries made me hungry. I liked reading the poems within this story and the drawing were adorable. My favorite poem was "My Travel Tree", it just made me feel good.
This is a great poetry book for younger children, as the poems all have little children in them and the poems are about things that little children enjoy. Children will be able to make connections from the poems to their own lives or their friends around them.
