Well, I would have given the 1st 3 books of the collection 3 stars and the last 3 books of the collection 5 stars, so I'll go with 4 stars...2 separate, 3 book series where Vikings take slaves by force when on raids, plundering villages that they come across on their infamous voyages, for the purpose of acquisition of treasure as well as slaves they call "thralls".
Graphic sexual content & mild violence present throughout. While not a fan of bdsm sex, in this case I didn'T mind it so much as the situation of sexual slavery implies non-consensual trysts. Easy to read and fast paced.

I kinda don't know how to feel about this series when I read it a year ago. I was just 18 at that time during pandemic and don't know what to read. No surprise, it is non-consenting with kidnapping, which I'm into because I also read The Minotaur Trilogy.
First off, with Edric and Thorvald's story.
This is a gangbang series/trilogy, until later on with the books, the king of the Vikings, Thorvald, claimed him as their slave alongside his wife. I hated the fact that he's married with a wife and children. I guess that's okay with their tradition and culture to have a thrall. A spoiler though, the most of the whole town had tried him until sundown (only with the Vikings men, I think). LOL. The spit wasn't enough because of their sizes. HUHUHUHUHU. Bless his hole.
Then with Leo and Runolf.
Runolf is a one-man Viking and only adores Leo. Like, he's very careful with his thrall. I think Brother Leo is lucky with him. He's a lot gentler than our last guy, Thorvald. That's why I love him dzaddy. LOL.
All throughout their story, I can feel he's treasuring Leo. There was no other parties such as having a wife or children, though there's a full-blown orgy for the fairest thrall, our Leo. I even thinks Runolf will have Leo as partner for his whole Viking life. I want Runolf all for Leo ONLY. I'm that selfish when I'm favoring an MC.
I love them, though. Ugh. 9.5/10 rate for this!

This book was a fun weekend read bug could have been longer and a more full story. It's basically gay erotica. The 2 stories were a fun read but could have been more of a story then focusing on the sex between the characters.

A story well told and it could have kept on
Have read something simalar like these books the story was told so much better in this series of books. Told to the point you could not stop reading and in some ways you felt you was there as the story unfolded. In someways I wonder if something like this could have happen in the past at the time of these stories were suppose to happening!
