Thank you for the opportunity to preview Shannon Ames 1 to 5 series. What a dream come true. I love Brearton. The novels are all suspenseful and bring to life a strong female lead for crime novels. Each novel is not only literary crime fiction but also the best characters with memorable stories and backgrounds.

These novels are fast paced with surprise endings and solid plots.

All in all a big 4.5 stars!!!

A complete set of TJ Brearton's Shannon Ames series...so far. These 5 books were originally released from 2020 through 2022. Brearton has two other series and several stand alone thrillers in his catalog of titles. Having the whole set gives the readers a unique opportunity to follow Shannon Ames from her rookie days in the FBI. We'll see her as her skills imcrease and her life spins into her work. Watch how she handles the numerous wins and losses that come with a carreer in law enforcement. This series is awesome...I love that word....plan your binge read now.

If you are looking for a fast paced read, look no further than the Shannon Ames series. Ames is a young FBI agent working in New York City and gets thrown into a lot of high profile cases very quickly. Each book had a different feel to it while still holding to the procedural feel of classic detective shows. I thoroughly enjoyed each of the five books in this set and hope to see more Shannon Ames books in the future. I will definitely be turning to T.J. Brearton for more crime solving novels in the future.

Fast-paced, action thrillers. Can be stand alone. Heart-pumping action. A copy was provided for my review, but all opinions are my own.

Exceptional research — the detail of the unit organization, terms, processes, investigations on top of a great theme for each of the stories made for great reading. Each book had a different theme with lots of twists and surprises. Yet there was always a bit of carryover which added to the plot line — losing the perp in a foot chase because of Shannon’s injury to her hip which occurred in the previous book. The other service is purchase of a series means you know you will have ample reading in a continuous period. When I run through an author’s writing, then have to wait a period for a new book it takes a little to get refamiliarized with characters, locations etc. With the series the continuation precludes that. Loved the series. Sadly you buy the boxed set of five because it’s economical but then only get credit for reading one book instead of the five. Explain that one. Fortunately I read a great many because I enjoy reading.

A fantastic series

This was a fantastic collection of stories with great characters, humor, drama, angst, mystery, suspense, and intriguing twists that will hook you from beginning to end. I was honestly thinking about rating this 4 1/2 - 5 stars, but mainly because I'm the type of person that likes to have a definite ending to a story. I refuse to give away spoilers, but I will say that the ending of the final book left me with many unanswered questions. JMO! Overall, it was a fantastic series that I enjoyed reading.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

5 books worth reading

Shannon Ames, a rookie FBI agent, hits the ground running. Shannon is very instrumental in capturing the bad guys in each of the books. One book she even goes undercover as a prostitute, which takes her out of her probationary agent status. Will be good to see this series go forward.

If thrillers and crime are your thing then this is the boxset for you. Following Shannon Ames from case to case as she hunts down the clues to find the killers. Thrilling, intriguing, mysterious, each book draws you in and has you on the edge of your seat trying desperately to guess who did it and failing epically! Twist and turns and surprises, the author does an incredible job of drawing you in, leading you one way then the next and tying you up in knots until revealing everything at the end! Had me hook, line and sinker!

Exciting nail-biting plots, believable characters, too much killing. For each book, I stayed up reading to the end. Until the last book, I liked Shannon, a nice change for once, a female FBI agent who was pensive, removed herself from the drama and took measured steps to resolve the situation, all the while advocating for the kidnapped and abducted and framed.

But in the last book, we lost that Shannon and suddenly she was a vigilante, aggressively chasing down her own ideas, not a team player any more. I was so disappointed in her.

Good read - dragged Shannon hip issue out a bit as it seemed it was used to add a bit of drama when things got tough. However, trust if there is a series 6 her hip would have improved - just worried now that the new medical issue with her fainting might be used as a similar drama card!!

Otherwise great detail and intrigue in keeping one guessing who was the major perpetrator of the evil!!

Keep up the character I liked the way she was able to work out side the law and still be honest!

I have read novels by this author before but not the Shannon Ames thrillers, and have enjoyed reading his books.
Shannon Ames is an FBI agent and she is quick sharp witty always ready to get stuck in and never one to back down.
In this book, there are 5 novels so quite a good thriller set plenty to read on these cold winter nights.

This author is new to me so I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this box set of five books. These are crime thriller books and these books are amazing and very hard to put down once you start on them. The character Shannon Ames goes off her gut instincts and won't back down if she thinks she write. She goes after the story and won't stop until she solves them.

Took me a while to get through all five books as I wanted to do a fair review on the series hence the late review. Well these books are great, I enjoyed all of them. I liked the characters, the storyline’s and the pace of the books. These are my first read by TJ Brearton and I would definitely read more. Thoroughly enjoyed this set. Highly recommended.

I like the writing of T. J. Breaton and this is a fine example.

Shannon Ames is an FBI agent who doesn't give up. She goes the extra mile, she focuses on the problem and won't let it go. This five book series is her from the beginning and is a great way to get you hooked on these characters.
