Just hours before I am supposed to walk down the aisle, I find my “groom” in the most compromising situation.
Heartbroken and devastated, I'm on a one way flight out of town to escape the embarrassment and salvage my dignity.
Hawaii was supposed to be my escape—a solo honeymoon to heal a shattered heart.
But fate had other plans in the form of Michael Thorne; A billionaire hotelier and former Navy SEAL. He's 6’3”, Salt and pepper haired, with blue eyes and a rock hard body...and he’s the answer to all of my questions.
The problem for He’s my Best Friend's Dad, and an absolute stud.
The problem for I’m not the teenage girl that he once knew so many years ago, and my body and heart are seeking refuge like never before.
From our first encounter, the magnetic pull is undeniable and every stolen moment pushes our boundaries to the limits, blurring all the lines.
But when we both have to return to our realities back in San Francisco, our worlds collide once again, and we are eventually forced to make the biggest decision of our lives.
I think that this isn't favourite book in this trope!
All the elements are there. The romance, the feelings and the angst. The chemistry between the couple is off the charts. There is the requisite drama and tears but there so much steam, a cold drink beside you is advisable.
This is a sexy older man with a familiar young lady! Fast paced and a great and fun storyline! I was so happy that everything worked out for Alexandria finally! And the love scenes are steamy! Also, I loved the ending, it’s so perfect.
Fatefully Finding Their Forever Love - Alexandria was truly devastated to discover her fiancé’s betrayal on her wedding day, but what she didn’t know was that she was destined to be with someone else. Michael was shocked to see his daughter’s best friend looking extremely distraught in the lobby of his hotel in Hawaii, but what really threw him for a loop was the attraction he felt towards her.
Even though Michael and Alexandria tried to keep their relationship platonic, the shark between them ignited to a volcanic level and led them to embark on a secret relationship. However, Michael’s daughter had her own plans for her father, which kept getting in the way of Michael and Alexandria’s budding romance. Unfortunately, just as Alexandria found out her life was about to change, chaos ensued when their relationship was discovered, but their love for each other gave them the confidence to fight to be together.
As luck would have it, Alexandria’s news seemed to turn the tide in their favour, which gave them a chance at getting the happily ever after they both deserved. This is a fantastic age gap romance story, with lots of drama, heartbreak, amazing chemistry and lots of passionate encounters, that finally led to a wonderful happy ending. I really enjoyed reading this story and I would be very happy to recommend it.

I just need to say, that I 🫶 the cover, the model of, Micheal is the perfect guy to be Rebecca’s dad. Ladies, am I right? Our girl Alexandria needed a man’s man to comfort her through what Tyler and her friend Andrea did to her. On the day that was supposed to be her wedding day no less. Instead, her groom and a bridesmaid decided to go into the furthest bathroom on the estate, for the wedding to have their bathroom tryst. Alexandria happens to be looking for the wedding planner when she hears a noise. They are so uninhibited that she hears them, and upon further investigation, her wedding day is shattered beyond repair. So much so it never happens at all. And, as if making the mistake of ordering the wrong sandwich at a deli. Tyler wants to talk his way out of it.
Well, buddy, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. After seeing the way her dad has treated her mom and her, does he in any way believe any of his excuses will make the top ten possible best list? At the very least acceptable ones, for him being a liar and a cheater? No there is nothing to talk about. Especially when body fluids have been exchanged, betrayal is first and foremost in her memory. So, when she unfreezes herself from the shock of catching them and can move from the spot she was watching them. They are straightening their clothes and Tyler is attempting to move closer to her in slow motion. Rebecca comes barreling into the room, in a panic. She is saying something about, “OMG the planner thought you two ran off.” But stops short when she assesses the situation. Her bestie is in tears, the groom is looking guilty, and their bridesmaid is, too. But crying?
Now, Rebecca is the barrier she needs to get her feet to move. She needs to get out before the damn breaks. She starts running as fast as anyone can wearing a large wedding dress and high heels. Alexandria makes it to her room and her mom is there. Her mom starts grilling her with questions as to why she’s crying, but she can’t answer. She can't allow the floodgates to open. Rebecca by then catches up and gives the four-one-one, buying her enough time to change her clothes. She then packs more things and makes sure she has the honeymoon tickets to Hawaii. She slips out and takes the limo to the airport instead of the church, as it was scheduled.
However, no one knows her thought process as to what she’s thinking, doing, or going and doing, and with whom. Everyone is worried and blows up Alexandria’s phone. She can’t deal with anyone so she turns off the phone. Once she makes it to Hawaii, she calls her mom and Rebecca. She asked Rebecca to handle everything along with her mom if she could. Please do not tell Tyler where she’d be. They both agreed. Rebecca said her father owned the hotel she was staying at. To be sure to look him up once she arrived. She agreed. However, no need when she looked up Mr. Thorne was walking her way. He was looking as delicious as she always thought he had while she was in her teens, but more so even now.
What's intriguing is the look she sees in his eyes for the first time. But, she has to mourn the relationship that she thought she had and how it all went south. See her journey and how both Rebecca and Rebecca’s Dad come into play. This was a good book it did drag in some places. Rebecca’s character is the stand-out one only because she is a spoiled child (adult child) and very vocal about her needs. Don’t get me wrong, she says all the right things about wanting things the best for those she loves as long as it doesn't interfere with her life and her agenda. I don't mean that she’s mean at all. You will just need to read the book.🤔

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
From the moment I started, this story drew me in. Alexandria was set to get married to her fiancé, Tyler. On the day of, something happened that changed everything. To not have to deal with all the embarrassment, she fled on a flight to Hawaii. It was there, that she found EXACTLY what she needed. Michael Thorne, hotel billionaire, hot DILF and oh yeah, her BFFs dad. All it takes is one night, and they are both hooked. Sadly, the fantasy had to end until they were both back home:-) When I say this story had me in a twist, with secrets, rendezvous, cheating exes and overall love. Despite there being an age gap, Alexandria and Michael loved each other, but how was his daughter, Rebecca going to handle all of this. I definitely recommend reading this story.

Alexandria had her heartbroken on the day she was to be married when she discovered her groom cheating on her with her bridesmaid. Wanting to save face, she flies to Hawaii and takes a honeymoon for one at Hotel Paradis. She discovers her BFF’s dad, Michael Thorne, owner of Paradis on her first night there, and the two succumb to a sensuous night of passion, that fills them both with the guilty pleasure so they agree it can only be a one time event. He’s overcome with her beauty, positivity, smarts and smile that lights up his life. She is rocked by this tall, handsome, caring man who is nearly twice as old as she, and the two cannot resist falling back into each other’s arms. The storyline is so well written and so devastatingly irresistible, and read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend this book for your reading pleasure!
After finding her fiancé having sex in the hotel bathroom on their wedding day Alexandria runs, not knowing where to go she heads off to her honeymoon alone. She bumps into her best friend’s dad who owns the hotel and they keep hooking up both trying and failing to keep away from each other. I found it hard to believe she didn’t know the hotel belonged to him so it just made it a bit less real for me. They secretly saw each other until his daughter caught them and kicked off the day she finds out she’s pregnant and was just about to tell Michael. They were engaged the next day and the. It jumped to 3 months later to the wedding day and ended. I would have liked an epilogue after the baby was born as it felt a very rushed ending and unfinished. I really enjoyed the writing style and found it flowed well all the way through apart from the ending I felt disappointed with.
I love the one night approach. It felt real, organic, and I loved the chemistry (more than just two bodies getting busy for a typical one night stand). Workaholics Alexandria and Michael were vulnerable and true to each other with the right amount of hot-hot-hot spice when it counted.
The secondary characters were real, if predictable with the exes on all sides providing road blocks, but these only provided more motivation to cheer for this couple. The area I would have wanted more was between Alexandra and her father.
The ending was excellent. I wish this was a series with BFF Rebecca being the next book. I loved the hints regarding that relationship throughout the book!
This story was so good that it was hard to put it down.
Alexandria thought she was marrying the love of her life when she caught her groom in the bathroom with one of her bridesmaids. She fled to Hawaii, not knowing the hotel where they were to honeymoon was owned by her best friend father. Michael owned several hotels and was in Hawaii working at the hotel there when he saw Alexandria looking lost in the lobby. He started talking to her and trying to comfort her. There was an instant attraction even though they tried to fight it. You have to read the story because it is so good. I recommend reading this book by Bella Chandler.
Attraction can be the first step in stumbling down the path to your happy ever after! This amazing story just has all kinds of complications, right from the very beginning. From a broken relationship marred by a blatant adultery, to the age difference, to the ladies being lifelong best friends, and the dread of the impact when exposed on all of them. This excellently written romance has you hoping for a happy ending long before it finally happens. Enjoy!
I don't like to critique anyone's work here, but I had some issues with this one. It never talks about Alexandria and Rebecca's age, so we're supposed to assume they're in their 20s? It doesn't say how much older Michael is. Rebecca has the emotional intelligence as a 14 year old and there is a lot of half assing the story. Then the ending is rushed to give them their HEA. Yikes, I would probably rethink this story as an author. But I do think the male model on the cover is superb!!!👍
Great beginning. Interesting dilemma! How old is Rebecca if she thinks her dad and mom are getting back together? She and Alexandria are the same age (late 20s?), yet she acts like she's 16. Why does Michael still have Clarissa calling him non-stop? He said, respect my boundaries; she doesn't; he does nothing about it. These are plot points that are so very predictable. But then, he lets them manipulate him instead of manning up. Downgrade to 2 stars.
This story is full of plot and steam. You won't have to choose between the two most important parts of a good romance when reading this book. Michael and Alexandria start in Hawaii but finish in their mutual home town. There is plenty of drama to keep you reading. There's Rebecca, the best friend, who also happens to be Michael's daughter. In addition, she's trying to get her mom and dad back together again. It's a big hall-a-baloo! You'll see when you read it.
Heather is a teacher and she makes a part time job in organizing charities for children. One of the charities she was walking and someone touched her ass that instant a man was walking opposite of her,she thought that he was,she slapped him and told him that he is a pervert but it wasn’t him. When one of her employees introduced Him to her he was one of generous benefactors of charities.
This book is amazing I recommend to whom loves to read good romance books.
The teaser for this book provided more excitement than the story itself. There was plenty of sex, but I never felt any real emotion between Alexandria and Michael. The text itself left lots of holes in the scenes, leaving me puzzling over how events could possibly occur the way they were described. It felt like the author read a ton of miscellaneous romance novels before writing, then glommed all her memories into this story.
I was totally engaged from the very first page- seriously! I actually liked that the FMC was a strong minded business woman, who just got screwed over by not so nice guys. "Mr. Thorne" was the prince charming we all need and deserve- and I really loved that! Very high heat book. I hope the author writes more of these types. Good story!
Both h and H said wanna and canna all the time. It didn't work for me. The getting together was rushed. By the time they started to get to know each other and fall in love the book was rushed and ended. There was a lot more that could have been developed. A lot of s*x in the beginning with no story.
Not so much a runaway bride as a he screwed up screwing the bridesmaid in the restroom minutes before the wedding Alexandria leaves the venue and flies to Hawaii for a single honeymoon. She finds out that her best friend's dad owns the hotel where the honeymoon was booked at. Michael Thorne takes it upon himself to help her and things progress from there.
It was a bit cliché and expected. But the family drama kept me engaged. I don’t usually like the age gap daddy trope but this wasn’t creepy. Age gap doesn’t bother me as long as they’re consenting adults.
Ending was wrapped up too quickly, felt very rushed. Story wasn’t anything new but not terrible either.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from the beginning to the end, in fact I didn't want it to end! Bella Chandler created a well developed storyline as well as characters. The sex scenes between Michael and Alexandria were off the charts!!! I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading another by Ms. Chandler. Enjoy!!
I love how this book started...jilted bride, best friend's dad. Perfect mix for a fantastic romantic mess of love. But, come on. They didn't exchange numbers for months. They never texted each other. The story was good but I think it could've been so much more if they communicated more than they did.
Unsure about the amount of 5 star reviews when this book is in desperate, DESPERATE need of an editor. A lot of the writing was choppy and surface level.
Wanted to love this, but the poor writing and Rachelle’s personality were a huge turn off. What kind of 28 year old is desperate for her parents to get back together, to the point that she’s begging for sleepovers? Super weird, but okay.
The idea of the story was great. The execution not so much. Would definitely recommend having an editor fix the literary mistakes and constant word and description repeats. I feel like so much more could have been done to really draw us in to the characters and their feelings and what’s happening. All in all an ok HEA age gap romance.
There isn't much if a plot beyond a girl getting with her best friend's dad. The spicy scenes are unrealistic to physically impossible. When the best friend inevitably catches them and is upset 3 pages later is totally fine with it. I wasn't expecting much but I really think the author is a 40year old virgin in his moms basement.
You’re going to fall totally in Love with Bella’s newest book. Alexandria and Michael are so romantic and the chemistry is off the charts amazing. I loved the HEA ending to make the book absolutely AMAZING.
This book had me hooked from the very first page. I really liked the chemistry between Michael and Alexandria, and the heat was through the roof! Really good Age Gap/taboo /off limits book, if that’s what you’re into. HIGH HEAT!
An emergency trip to Hawaii on her canceled wedding day leads her to her best friend's dad. They each recognize the spiritual call of the other. They are drawn to each other. But his daughter will hate them - how will they fix it?
