Daire is the second book of the Fated to the Fae series where the male population of the Faerie realm have been reduced to 10%, leaving the females to compete in the Questioning to find their potential mates. It is filled with laugh-out-loud humor and sweet, sweet romance that makes you want to fall into the Faerie realm and into the arms of an Irish speaking male with wings.
I like Kiernan enough to want to continue with the series, but reading Daire has really made me want to read more of this amazing series. I had loved Daire when he first showed up in Kiernan and I loved him even more in his book. The way he waited until Sarah was ready to fall into him, never pushing for her to be with him. In spite of his grumpy and frowny exterior, he is a really sweet guy and I just love him so much.
Whereas Kiernan is the introduction to the Faerie realm, Daire starts to line out the plot of the entire series with the mystery behind Sarah’s sudden appearance in the Faerie realm and the truth behind the portals. Of course, Kiernan gives us a starting point in the mystery behind the women suddenly appearing in the realm, but I felt it really picks up and is made seriously.
I know that this only the second book of the series, but Daire is my absolute favorite. The romance between Daire and Sarah is not complete without a firecracker of a sister, a Gram thirsty for Finn, and magical food.
