"Our love was written in the stars, after all."

Well that was underwhelming. To start with I did not have high expectations from it but it still ended up disappointing me.

✔️ True mates
✔️ Werewolves vs Vampires vs Witches
✔️ Juicy smut

The pacing of the book was slow and sadly the plot did not have much to offer. The story could've ended in the previous book had it not been repetitive.

The romance was good, but the spice was the better aspect of it. Ayla and Kaden work well together but as individuals Ayla is far more superior and level headed. Kaden is a bit too immature for me even tho he's supposed to be an Alpha. Kaden should have groveled, I feel like that would've shown some character depth. The best glow up would have had to be Jordan's in the series. He went from being an ass to being genuinely caring.

The ending could've been done better but it lost my interest by then so I was basically skimming.

Am not sure if I'll read any spin offs but let's see. Overall, I would say it's wasted potential considering how good the first two books were in the series.

Wow--what an incredible ending. And huge props to Elizabeth Briggs for writing this book while battling stage 3 cancer. I loved reading about Ayla and Kaden's love.

Admittedly, this book felt a little bit slow in the middle (I'd say probably around the ~50 or 60% mark, I think), but I think that was because the author was making sure that nothing felt too rushed and all of the characters had their moments of dialogue, friendship, love, plot, etc.

I was initially thinking of giving this book 4-stars as I was reading it, until I got to the ending, which was so good that I was like, NOPE, this is a 5-star book. The final battle at the end of the book was EPIC. It was the perfect length of action, and it was so heart-wrenching and satisfying. Seriously, that ending was perfect. I teared up but also smiled like an idiot at my kindle, and I could not put it down.

It was also great that you could tell the author re-read the first 3 books before starting to draft this book. I feel like so often, authors don't re-read their own work when they continue a book in a series, and it shows when they forget to tie up loose ends, create plot holes, or contradict themselves or their characters. This was not the case here! I felt like every loose end was tied up nicely in Ayla and Kaden's story, and the characters had grown, yet they were still recognizable. There were also references to characters and scenes from book 1 and book 2 that were brought full circle here (Ayla fighting her bullies from the cancer pack, the witch whispering to Jordan before he beat Ayla, etc.). I loved the attention to detail. It was a solid continuation and conclusion of this story.

I was surprised to read that Wesley (and presumably Mira), Jordan (and presumably Stella), Ethan, and Madison are each getting their own books too. I love that this world isn't over! I can't wait to read their stories too.

Loved it. Recommend.

This better end well for all of my faves. And also a baby Kaden would be an adorable addition, don't you think? 👀

I really enjoyed reading this. I read the first two books last year and just realized I accidentally skipped the third book, which I’m going to go back and read. I didn’t remember some of the events that were mentioned in book four and that’s what made me realize I skipped a book. So read them in order.

I really think Wesley and Mira, and Jordan and Stella are true mates and I can’t wait to find out. Stella is going to kill Jordan if they are mates 🤣🤣

I’m looking forward to when the fifth book is released ♥️

"I always knew it was you... You are my mate. My alpha female. My destiny."

5 stars!

I had such high hopes for the finale of this brilliant series by Elizabeth Briggs, and she did not disappoint in the slightest! I have so much respect and love for Elizabeth as she is such an amazing and strong woman and writer, and I am so glad that I was able to discover this series that I've come to love so much🖤

This book stars off right where SUN CROSSED left off. Ayla is still reeling from the latest attack by the Sun Witches on the Zodiac Wolves while also feeling devastated after Kaden's brutal rejection. Seeing Ayla overcome her heartbreak over Kaden made me love her even more as a heroine, and I appreciated how she made him work for her forgiveness. Jordan was surprisingly one of my favorite characters in this book; I loved witnessing as he transformed from the bitter and harsh bully we first met into the protective yet vulnerable alpha who stood beside Ayla. I am so freaking stoked for his and Stella's book next as I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet!

Tropes: rejected mates, outcast heroine, heroine-on-the-run, broody hero, alpha j/p hero, 'touch her and die' vibes, forbidden love, hate-to-love-you, fated mates, 'who did this to you' vibes, hidden powers, found family, mating frenzy, knotting, pack politics, STEAMY🔥

My Kaden, the mysterious, broody and irresistible alpha of the lost pack...

This was a nice enough end to the Zodiac Wolves series .... or at least Kaden and Ayla's story of this series. I really enjoyed the first two books of the series, but I wasn't so happy with the direction that things took in the third book. Everything works out in this book, so most everyone gets their HEA, but it just felt extraneous. I think I was intrigued about the story line of this girl who never quite fits in with her pack, gets mystically mated with her arch-enemy, and then finds her place with a group of outcast wolves. It was interesting. I liked reading as Ayla finds her place in the world. Once she and Kaden get together, though, I found the story less and less interesting. After breezing through the first three books, I didn't ever quite feeling like grabbing this one. I wasn't as interested. But I finished the story, and it is a good one. Maybe things seemed to play out a little too easily at the end of the book, but I was happy for the good results. I think that this might have worked better as a trilogy instead. I'll still give this final book a strong three stars. I liked it.

at some point this series became very boring. i can summarize the whole plot in one sentence. i wish the wrong bond plot line was resolved sooner. the final battle was kind of underwhelming , it wasn’t this big climax for me. i skipped through a lot of sex scenes because they became repetitive and not that interesting.

i pitied mira and larkin. i won’t read their books and other new ones in this series. it’s pretty obvious for me what fate mira has and i don’t want to read about her struggles when she can’t choose who to love.

i wanted ayla to walk away from kaden for good and become this independent badass female. fuck romantic plot. he wasn’t good enough for her. after his temper tantrum in the previous book i couldn’t take him seriously. okay there was a good excuse for his attitude before but it was only an excuse. in my opinion he wasn’t the greatest mmc.

4-4.5 ✰

first and foremost thank u elizabeth briggs for writing this universe & this amazing book while battling cancer 🫶🏽 this woman is phenomenal

as for my review… I really enjoyed this final installment of ayla & kaden’s story 🥹 can’t believe it’s all come to an end

this book picked up right where sun crossed left off (after the events of the battle) and I honestly forgot many details since I read the previous 3 books early last year—definitely wish I had reread them prior to reading this book. nonetheless, this book was FILLED with new details as the packs came together to stand against the sun witches and free themselves from their curse.

it was great to see ayla and jordan’s bond as siblings, and their moments with wesley! jordan really won me over and has easily become one of my favourite characters in this series.

thank God we got some things cleared up regarding ayla and kaden—I was relieved to find out that kaden had been controlled by the sun witches similar to jordan. the sun witches were the reason he lashed out at ayla in the previous book and removed her ophiuchus pack mark. it was great to see them rekindle and for ayla to become an ophiuchus alpha female all on her own—a mark that couldn’t be taken away from her by anyone.

one of my favourite parts of this book was witnessing ayla and kaden’s mate bond—the writing itself was so beautiful. we knew they were mates from the very beginning but it was still great to finally see it officially happen after ayla’s fake bond with jordan was removed. and I loved seeing how willing kaden was to treat ayla as his equal & ensure that everyone recognized her as his alpha female and partner.

my other favourite part was definitely the freeing ritual performed during the new moon. the ritual felt so magical I was actually getting goosebumps while reading! also loved how ayla would silently pray & ask for help from selene, helios, and the stars.

I’m so proud of ayla for freeing all of the packs! she gained so much strength throughout the series & finally has a place where she belongs—with her forever family 🫶🏽 she came such a long way from moon touched

I wish we’d get a book about ayla & kaden’s domestic life… I’d love to witness their child’s upbringing! also very curious about the vampires… I’d definitely be interested in learning more about them

and I’m SO excited for the other upcoming books set in this universe!!! very much ready to see jordan n stella go from enemies to lovers & OF COURSE wesley and mira! I just KNEW they were meant to be since moon touched… I have high hopes

Oh my gosh I loved this story, this series is one of my fave shifter romance series. Ayla and Kaden’s story is full of trials and tribulations and I loved every second. If you love shifter romances that is not only action packed but also full of spice you need to read this series. The twists and turns and the development we get from these characters is everything!

Ayla and Kaden

Oh my they finally have their Happily Ever After. So happy for them. First they had to go through more trials. They also lost some more wolves and witches. It was nice to see her mom come fight after all.

I’m not sure about this one. I haven’t read the rest of the series in a while because it got slightly weird to me. So when I started this I was forgetting things that had happened. I did like how it wrapped things up but certain things were odd. Like completely blowing past the abuse of the men, and the mind control of certain people? I hated how Jordan was treated and how they ignored everything that happened to him.

It was so nice to round off this story, still opportunity to revisit and spin off potential but I have really loved this series, this was always going to be a tough one, the author was extremely unwell and I felt I had a good idea of how things would wrap up so no huge surprises to be had here but still lovely to revisit the packs and seek potential for future.
Lacking in twists and turns but a nice development of character particularly for our main female and her brother in this story.

A series that will stick with me but not my favourite of the 4

I’m glad I finished the series, but there were so many plot holes, and so much left unsaid as the author made a rush to the finish line. I enjoyed the overall idea of this story, but the storyline was so underdeveloped. It’s one of those series you read once but will probably never read again.

3.5 ⭐️ A lot of ground was covered in this book but I feel like overall the series could have been 2-3 books. I’m slightly disappointed that the others character arcs were not wrapped up in this book as well.

Series: Zodiac Wolves, book 4

Thoughts - thank the gods for that! My theory from book 3 pans out at chapter 8 and honestly I’m relieved, I was getting worried there. I loved how everything wrapped up enough so your not left wondering what happened but also there are enough doors open for future stories. Kaden is alpha book boyfriend material and Ayla is who we all want to be. Absolutely loved this series so definitely add it to your TBRs… oh and there’s a touch of knotting in this one 🫠🫠🫠

*spin off couples I need are …
Larkin & Ethan - After Larkin has lived on earth for a while and has aged up.
Wesley & Mira
Jordan & Stella - coming soon !!!!!

Plot - after the unthinkable has happened Ayla must figure out how to defeat the sun witches with or without help. An unlikely alliance forms and together everyone finally gets the answers they’re looking for. After taking time to move forward all of the zodiac packs must find a way to unite and break the spells placed upon them, setting them free once and for all.

* Found Family
* Werewolves and witches and vampires
* Fated/rejected mates
* Tension
* Found magic
* When the spice hits 🫠

I know the series is more of a palette cleanser for me between larger novels so I was not expecting the greatest writing ever but this one did not vibe with me like the other three. The writing is just fine, easy to follow, and lore not complicated. The energy was odd. There were jokes when things should have been serious, the addition of vampires was dissapointing as I was invested in only the lore between werwolves and witches for so long, and it felt too easy that the main found all her answers in a few conversations. Maybe i was simply not in the right mood for it? It ended with a neat bow and some possible other branching out ideas for future books.

Wow that was amazing I enjoyed every second of book I had so many emotions so kicking my feet to being like shocked there was so many things I didn’t expect I didn’t expect them to defeat the sun witch leader at all but all the alphas managed to come together even if some didn’t make it during it or after it.I hope in the next book Mira and Wesley become true mates! I can’t wait any longer but I’m also really happy Kaden and Ayla are true mates forever now without her having that fake mate bond with Jordan! But also maybe Jordan and Stella might be true mates as well who knows! We need book five soon as possible 😍

Jack will always be remember saving his alpha female!

I love Larkin she’s super sweet and I love how she’s powerful and loves to read a lot like me.

The romance and spice were perfection just the right amount Alya and Kaden work well together individuals but also well as now an alpha and alpha female for there pack. I really want more about Jordan though maybe we will get more of him in the 5th book
Now he has no sun witches controlling.

2.5⭐️ Why were 4 books in this story? It was not necessary there was so much filler between book 2 and 4. I feel that a duology would have work best.

I just couldn’t wait to finish this book. By book 4 I could care less for any of these characters. Everything seems so convenient about Ayla all of the sudden she has moon, sun and stars power 😒 come on. She just prayed and boom there you go to gods that there not even part of the story or that there is no background about it. This aspect I feel that it was very bad executed.

I did not cared for the love story after book 2 I really disliked Kaden I didn’t like his character I feel that he did not add anything to the story we has not even that powerful he was just there for the drama. I like the MMCs to be strong and take the lead and he was not it. I skipped through all the sex scenes from this book,(yeah that is how much I disliked him).

Also why the sexualization of a 12 year old, yeah she is 45 in reality she was in a realm were she can not aged but still she looks like a child and having to read about her talking about sex and been attracted to an adult of about 30 years old still really weird. That put me off completely about this book.

Odhalená pravda je posledný diel série Vlci zverokruhu. Lenže autorka sa aj tu rozhodla nás ešte trochu naťahovať a neodhaliť mám všetky karty naraz. Odhalenia prichádzajú postupne, ale nič nejde ľahko a každé malé víťazstvo si musia vlci tvrdo vybojovať.

Veľmi ma potešilo, že Jordan dostal väčší priestor, lebo už v predchádzajúcej knihe som si ho obľúbila. Dej pokračujem bojom proti slnečným čarodejkam, kedy sa vlci snažia oslobodiť z ich ,,otroctva”.

Nebola núdza o boje a akcie, ktorých bolo poriadne veľa.

Cute but cheesy conclusion to this series.

I wish it was just a trilogy because I was slightly bored in the last two books. However, I do love the spin offs we’re getting of other couples. I’m glad those will be single books and not series.

Assumptions:

— Jordan x Stella (love an enemies to lovers)
— Wesley x Mira (single mom situation)
— Ethan x Larkin hopefully?? If it’s a few years down the road (age gap? Even tho Larkin is technically old as hell)
— Maddison x ?? (Honestly can’t even remember who this character is lol)

Alya is the most powerful of all

Alya is determined to take down the Sun witches and free the wolves. In order to do that they need all the alphas in the same page. That in itself.is a challenge.

Kaden and Alya find a spell that will free everyone at once but they need all the alphas. Once they get all aligned they can try the spell and see if it works. Again war is inevitable with the EU witches co trolling some of the wolves till and with the Vampire army. the wolf packs fight for their lives and for their freedom.
